It should only need EP2 (this map was made exclusively on EP2 engine, as this is a port to Gmod with stuff removed). If some textures error, blame Valve for changing material paths or whatever they did.

I loaded content from Half Life 2 Episode 2, however I am missing textures, namely the road right outside the spawn.

Thanks, there's not many default grass textures available to work with, but the grass textures I found were beautiful for what I wanted, albeit looks weird when looking down, but that's the engine for you.

@Xeno I've input the files into my GarrysMod>garrysmod directory, changed the map properties (detail.vbsp file and detail material file) but the mazur texture is missing, causing a black and purple texture.

To use the grass, you need to use the mazur/blend_grass_forestdirt texture one your displacements and they'll appear in-game when you render your map.

Put the files in detail/detailsprites2ep2
Then it should show up in your source sdk.
When you want to publish your .bsp, pakrat it and put the files in the same locations in the .bsp as well.

You need EP2 mounted, it's the only thing that is needed for this map to work, there are no other content needed for it, the rest are packed inside the .bsp file to work.

Me too, and yeah, what do all of us do if we see all those checkered, black&white textures?
We need help... I was pretty happy at first, at where you spawn, but as soon as I walked outside... yeah... please tell us how to fix it!
