Does ore vein count as "Object Overlays"? Because "Autoharvest2" mod doesn't auto harvest ore vein after i installed this mod...

Running intel integrated if all these give me stable 25-30 fps then good job

It's designed to remove a graphic feature, so, yes, it's meant to cut down on FPS. However, it's not dramatic in and of itself. By itself you may see 1-2 FPS (maybe none). But, when you team it with other "remover" mods in "death of a thousand cuts" fashion, all of them together will net a tangible FPS improvement. Look at all of the mods in the "Performance & Optimization" collection that this is a part of. A lot of those are meant to be used together to create a net performance improvement when used all together.

this mod looks nice but I am having problems with subscribing I am not sure it is worth making skyrim lag to fix the overlays

This is nice even when not running a low end system. It makes the world much easier to make out and see things at a distance.

Why would there be snow in caves?

@Kameraden ... I think there's a mod on Nexus that changes plants with the seasons. I came across something while looking up trees, and they had something that caused trees to thin out and lose their leaves. Not sure if it's a published work. Could try searching there. It would probably add a lot of overhead, because every tree would require a script to get attached and constantly run to apply the seasonal effects. I think something like that was done for Oblivion, and it was a pretty cpu-intensive mod.

Wow... I never knew this game even had overlayed textures and such. It was never dramatic enough for me to notice.

Pity this game doesn't have seasons and the ability to lay down a foot or two of snow... now that would be noticable.

I'm running on a 6 year old Radeon 4870 X2 >.< and my frame rate is shit and I'll hit 81C degres!!!! I'll let you all know how this works for me!

@TadasJA ... not sure. I'm running a pretty beefy rig, so I'm already max'ing 60FPS. You'd have to use a program with an FPS tracker to see how much boost you get (eg: Bandicam or Fraps have a built-in FPS meter). I create and use these declutter things to a) get rid of stuff I don't care about, b) free up more resources for other mods.

how much of a performance boost can I expect ? a lot or just a little ?

I like how it makes the game's texture feel more HD-ish..
