you are probably aren't working on this mod for a while now but, can you add support for the Stalker Weapons Pack add-on for VFE please? Tried those guns and it doesn't work

Would it be possible to add a magazine that gives the Gunsmith Trait? There's already a mod that does that with other traits and it'd be a nice rare find if enabled.

@The Watcher Brita's mod description specifically said not to use the mod with other gun mods lol

I dont seem to be able to actually repair gun parts, only clean them. Even tho I have the trait + all items necessary to do so the option to repair doesnt show up and using 'craft helper' to see the recipe also doesnt trigger the action. I had this problem both in SP and MP for months now. Is it something with settings or a incompatibility with some mod? weapons wise I only have Britas installed.

Mod requirements work the other way around.
You'd be better off putting a note in your description that you recommend people install "BasedFirearmsMaintenanceReduxFix" to run AFTER your mod.

Alternatively you're welcome to incorporate the fix directly into your mod. Just copy and paste the files and hit update.

Hiya, thanks for the mod! I love it, but it's causing me to relog in MP 90% of the time when I clean or repair gun parts. If I don't relog, then 'inspect weapon' causes nothing to happen, the panel doesn't come up. After I relog, it works fine. But later when I clean it again, 90% of the time the same fault will occur. I really like the way the mod works, apart from that!

Seems like a lot of people have been reporting an entire mountain of bugs. Are you planning on coming back to fix them? I (as well as many others) would really appreciate some kind of an update on what's going on behind the scenes.

Great mod with cool featured. Haven't tested the mod, waiting for Firearms B41 Revamped Compatibility :D and if there is not any, special items/kits for better repair and cleaning would be cool too.

Can confirm Inspect Weapon mod conflict. Also, can confirm the other error that MommasTaco reported, when trying to inspect weapon parts of a disassembled Brita gun, (Inspect weapon mod removed). Cannot reassemble gun.

Same problem as Gamer - I'm the owner of the server, been trying to find conflicts but am unable to find any. When I try to re-add the trait through the Check Stats menu it disappears again. Is it incompatible with SOTO?

hi i noticed that it does not work when i thread a barrel of a gun (i am using guns of 93) is this a bug or is it just still a wip?

Have you considered adding compatibility for "Firearms B41 Revamped"?

As the original "Firearms B41" mod hasn't been updated in 2 years now, and the Revamped version IS being updated, compatibility with you mod would be warmly welcomed :)

tried disabling Inspect Weapon mod, and it allowed me to open and close the inspect weapon parts menu repeatedly, but after disassembling the gun I got this error. https://pastebin.com/ziqP0Uda . as of now i cant recommend using this mod to anyone thinking of trying it, unless you are running as few mods as possible.

Was playing with it on a server, and my character lost the trait? Im not sure why or when or how but i went to repair guns but it just wasnt working and when i checked traits it just wasnt there.

great mod! only sometimes will the "Inspect Weapon Parts" bug out and not pop up resulting in an error. If that part is due to simple ui im eager for the update! ty

Great mod, thank you for making it!

Cakes is correct in that the repair functions for most other items (like repairing an axe) can no longer be done at all, not just via the right click menu.
I understand that your mod overhauls the vanilla repair functionality however this is game breaking.
Would you consider looking into another way of performing your repair functions without overwriting the vanilla function?

*I have tested this on Multiplayer with only your mod installed. 100% breaks repair of other items unfortunately.

Thanks again for your great work on this mod. Hoping you can fix this soon.

This mod overhauls the vanilla repair functionalities. It's intended behaviour. Please read the description.

@Monkey, really love your work. But just wanted to let you know there's an issue that it removes the 'Repair' option in the right click for some weapons and even vehicle parts in the inventory.

I'm not sure if it's caused by this mod but our server's running with Guns of 93 and FirearmsMaintenanceRedux. It fixed the repair option when we removed your mod, though.

Monkey i love the mod is amazing i want to inform u there are guns in VFE that are not working with the mod like the m60 and m16 masterkey and the combination gun, over that tahnk u is an amazing mod!!!!:steamhappy:

@Monkey appreciate it and what you do for the community. Just wanted to provide further context to possibly help you resolve this issue. Really looking forward to getting to use this mod, adds a lot of immersion in helping keep guns in solid working order so I don't have to stock up on 1000 kits or guns haha

Just wanna add that I also cannot see any inspect windows on any firearms. Must be a mod conflict somewhere that is stopping the inspect window. Works on a new save just by itself, unfortunate, hope someone finds the incompatability as this mod provide good immersion.

Hi Monkey, just FYI tried messing with the mod load order up and down still no luck with the inspect menu , however i just found out the menu for repair my machete disappears with your mod(or the Simple UI Library) on, its back after i turned the mod off, guess i really have to wait then oh i cant live without the trusty machete.:steammocking:cheers
