I have this mod since November, it has always worked well, but since January it no longer works. There is always 160 men is eagle cohort even when mod activated. Please do you know why?

this mod is awesome ...... so will you plz change the first cohort units too in double size...... like Lvl 3 barack shoud have them ....... and if possible add rally ability to 1st cohort and eagle cohort....... it is historical....ause this units can bring back the fighting other units...

Sorry, but I won't be doing that. The eagle cohort isn't meant to represent a whole new unit, just an upgrade to the first cohort. It's convenient for this mod because there are indications that the size was doubled only later on.

You know what you should do if possible: hide/disable the ability to recruit "Eagle Cohort", give the Eagle to First Cohort and combine the bonuses and buffs of Eagle Cohort with First Cohort also make First Cohort double sized - historically it was the First Cohort; the one that was deemed to be the most prestigious and deserving of the Legion that carried the Eagle - there were no special "Eagle Cohorts". Could you do such a mod if possible - please? :)

nope just the eagle. I did this on the grounds that historically it was later that the cohort's size was doubled, I figured it made sense to do it on just the last version of the unit :)

Does it also double the size of the first cohort?

also praetors would be a official title/job for a Legatus is a general of the legion and a Centurion is the commander of one of the 8 Centuries which is about 480 soldiers with the first having an extra two cohorts of auxilary troops

Grace, i was wondering if you could possible make a mod that doubles the Hastati size for even on the larges settings for units i find they are bit on the small side

I think so Grace. mostly the Praetorians in general but later on even emperors if they liked or admired promoted him to the Praetorians.

Weren't they just all Praetors? According to google a praetor is a commander or certain official titles/jobs.

When I get round to finishing the cap mod they'll be something like 8-9 per campaign, not sure how many praetorians were "fielded" in history.

mostly praetorians were most of the senators childen. senators didn't want there sons dying but bluesteakmanflesh has that right. mostly their only duty was to protect the emperor and rome. made to look neat and given the best as matter of pride among rome citizens. the other units like the armored legionaries besides eagle cohort should be your top unit.

I'll consider making an elite unit cap mod, with some extra bodyguards where applicable, any advice you have is welcome.

Praetorians shouldn't be as good as they are anyway. I don't like them as they where a body guard unit in the republic time for the general of a army, so would have been good then as they would have been picked from the ranks. But you can just spam them out an have a army of them. But in imperial they where more like secret police and would have been useless on campaign.

Can you make a mod that has them as a unit u can only get as a general unit?

The start was more in relation to the eagle cohort mod. I was just drawn to this mod and forgot where I was.

When I saw others do this in the past some comments alluded to the first cohort being right and having the standard. They did say they hadn't turned it vanilla to make sure it wasn't added in a mod without listing it.
So I would guess it isn't there since you made it again, and some mod must add it without mentioning it. Great job!
On my friend request, I am friending those I see as potential modders for a group to collaborate ideas. I just think it is a neat idea and I'm only choosing certain people based on potential chemistry based on mod preferences and creativity.

Can You only replace standard bearer to eagle bearer only for first cohort. I searched a lot but did not find such mod. Officerrs I already have in my mod and .

You mean the officer and standard bearer skin? I can but it might make more clashes so I'll do it seperate for you :) in the next few days. that mod might evolve into something, who knows :P
