A miracle has happened! And I was able to make this mod work! With the help of dancing with a tambourine and the Advanced Welding mod, it is possible to connect a chain of tracks into a single ring. The connecting plates must match 100% to connect automatically. To do this, I had to build a whole machine with pistons, magnets and guide legs.
I also used a mod that allows you to pull and adjust blocks with your hands.


Track Pad block -- an attempt to place this block causes the game to crash.

The chains from this mod have more attachment points than conventional hinges, so the tracks can be made more flexible and compact than from hinges.

mods abandoned, its not getting any updates or fixes, whatever probelms or bugs that are in the mod are there to stay.

They kinda work but they are a total pain in the arse to setup and the hitboxes/building spots need a TOTAL rework its absolute trash to even try and build a working link of them ESPECIALLY if theres gravity.

when i build the chain and i put in the last link's pin it doesn't connect. i watched your tutorial and it didnt help.

how do i get the suspension sprockers to spin with the cockpit??? what was the point of adding thos if you cant control propulsion? and the 1st sprockets are pink

Can we get a New tutorial Video? i cant get my small track pieces to stop moving in space making it impossible to line up the end of my track. i even pushed it around and got the holes super close, dropped the pin in but it still wasnt connected

It doesn´t work, when i build a track and put together the first and the last part, then take away the pin and add a new pin with the markon the right side and direction, they don´t connect.

When i start moving it, it always isn´t conncted at that point.

Really sad, cause if it worked it would be great :steamsad:

He made it this way so that you can build a custom design any way you like. tedious but nessisary. That or make tracks auto spawn when adding a point A and B then link. Then perhaps add additional link points numbered in order of construction. that theoretically would not cost to much customizability.

Regarding the gears/cog wheels in the modpack, any chanse you concider creating a version of the 1x1 and 3x3 gear with a slope? so you can mesh them together ? iv been playing arround with the gears and id like to be able to do a 90-degree power transfer for like a windmill. the teeth on the gears are so short you cant connect them unless the gears are facing the same way. contatc me if you are interrested :) i would be extremly happy if anyone could build a block like that for me <3 it would open a whole new world in SE and engineering

Well i dont know how theyre called in English but are you going to put these little wheels in there like tanks have? So that you can build a track with one or two gears and the bottom of the track is suspended with those suspension wheels? if anyone can say it better feel free to translate my bad english ;)

@Joachim, there is a way of doing this, you have to build a connector on the track, and a connector on the vehicle itself. Once aligned and connected/locked, you can copy the vehicle/save it as a blueprint and the tracks will remain. All you have to do is delete the connectors when its built/placed to allow free movement again.

JUST SPENT ABOUT 4 HOURS TRYING TO MAKE THIS WORK... I want this so badly...
I cannot for the life of me make the track connect. Watched the video 3 times and kept rewinding the part where you connect the two pieces. I am at a loss... Also DO the Gear Wheels with suspension Drive? That would be amazing apparently they do not.... am I missing something vital here? I have officially lost my mind but that is besides the point. :D Please help

Added: DX11 Support.

Fixed:
- Tracks not being able to re'attach' to the pin for creating loops.
- Some Icons in G-Menu invisible.

Changed:
- Increased HSLA Steel Plates 'MaxIntegrity' to max. (Should make all blocks stronger)
- Increased HSLA Steel Plates 'Health' to max. (Should make all blocks stronger)
- Changed 'DeformationRation' of all blocks to 0.01. (Less collision damage at lower speeds, still takes high speed damage)

I tried it but no track for me. The finishing pin replacement will not lock the last with the first. Pin stays in the nerrow shaft but the wide wishbone ends clip away from the ends of the shaft.

dude, please, make dem chain links NOT disappear from control panel after the chain is locked - i've built whole dat fin' in survival totally based on fully charged braking torque and dat was really fucking nito indeed - place link, weld it, go to control panel, rename link (to not miss it ever after), engage braking torque so it won't hange and den go do next link in chain... to lock last and first links in gravity was special engineering magic and now everything is stomped up 'cause when i came to CP again to finally release dose brakes... chain links ain't dere anymore and dat rigid chain hanging on dem wheels like a picture frame... i fought i finally found a way to not go to space to build my shiny drilling crawler to den put 'im back to earth... damn dat stupid... if dere any way to get to dose chain links somehow, please, any?

i seem to not be able to build the chains properly in creative, or a lack of gravity, unsure which, but i can't put chains in a direct line. otherwise i am rather hopeful for this mod and gears and things.

think you can make different sized circular rails? i had an idea for putting a platform and cockpit in the center and having the wheel basically be around that, or... what if instead of a rail track, you made the rail track with sprocket teeth inside so the giant wheel is spun from the inside. that would be cool.

ok 1 awsome mod 2 can we have compatability with Suspention? namely placeing 3x3 suspention wheels Deleting the wheels then placeing the Sprockets then finaly makeing the Chains?

Also can we have the tracks count as 1 block so we can make a merge block count to save the Tracks onto the vehical?

to everybody complaining, you can access each track link through a control panel and use the "Attach" feature much like rotors

How to build chassis with more than 2 wheels? Cannott connect chain with pin. More than 2 track pads cause simulation speed to down. DX11?
