Amazing art, but my VFE Warcasket Androids are getting one shot, lol. It's a great counter if you want to be body purists and have VFE Androids be the bad guys.

Just stop putting learning and sleeping assistants on every pawn. Your fighters can leave without it.
Great art, still waiting for them to happen in my run though.

Interesting concept, but dedicated anti-mechanoid weaponry needs a long-range sniper rifle to outrange mechanoid turrets and an ability to disable shields, which this kinda can, but in a weird way because it needs an unshielded pawn near to shield to turn into an emp bomb.

And with bionic pawns being more vulnerable to EMP than mechanoids, this can be more dangerous to the user than to enemy.

Hm, weird. The explosion didn't pop the lowshield when I had the targeted pawn standing outside of it. Needs a bit more testing I think for me to figure out the mechanics on how that works.

Too bad the Athena Framework's elite shot thing seems a bit difficult to use. Tried to implement it and ended up with it erroring out, or I might have suggested it as an option on the ion guns to interject a EMP round every few shots.

I know that bunch of Athena's comps are incompatible with CE due to how info retention of weapons is handled... but none of those comps are used here. I will look into CE compatibility then

Also confused about CE because at least in 1.4 I had no issues with Athena and CE running in the same game (or specifically those two being in conflict)

The explosion will pop the shield, but not the bullets themselves. Though I am debating with myself making the guns also deal more damage to shields

Pretty much yes. The hediff comp lets you fully customise the kind of explosion, at what percentage should it explode, should it also explode on death, etc. I encourage you check Athena's wiki, these weapons use Bomb Hediff Comp and Remove On Severity Comp to achieve the effect

Hm, wonder if the hediff can easily be repurposed for Volkite style weapons from 40k just from rimworld, like you hit enemies, it builds up a hediff and has a chance of ignitition and once the hediff hits 100% it causes a small fiery explosion

Love the concept of these ions, specially how the hediff is implemented

I see. But the way that mod's hediff operates is different from this one's. Afaik CE doesn't have code for exploding hediffs, and its not something that I have the knowledge to code myself

This one was patched by CE team and it to utilizes stacking hediff.

Man between you and Det there is just so much more variety now!
And not in the "X more weapons" way but in the "this weapon does something neat and that one has some extra KICK" kinda way. Legit terrifying though when a raider comes in with one of your more heavy-duty weapons though. And now I have a set specifically to make mechs regret coming to my base!
