It didn't show up on mine either shame because The Anglo-Saxon Civ would have been interesting to have. Me personally i'd have picked Athelstan as the leader, as he drove the Vikings out of England completely and annilated a joint Viking and Scottish army at the very important battle of Brunanburh in 937, his military achivements outmatching his Grandfather Alfred. Another shout could have been Edgar who's reign was of peace and prosperity for England. I also hope that if I get to play as the Saxon's that Winchester is the capital city as it was since King Egbert first was proclaimed the first King of England in 827 till the very end of the Saxon era in the 11th Century.

I have BNW and Denmark also. It does not show on my mods list either. Your other civs do, however.
Lt. Hurwitz 29 Mar, 2016 @ 7:53pm
I have BNW and Denmark, but this still won't show up in my Mods list. Am I doing something wrong?
Dunkleosteus 26 Mar, 2016 @ 4:13pm
Up to you, but if revamping the Anglo-Saxons sounded like something you're into, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fyrd might be an interesting idea for a UU, maybe replacing the pikeman or landskecht depending on how you want to play it.
Dunkleosteus 26 Mar, 2016 @ 3:42pm
I've been looking for a good Anglo-Saxon civ for a while and this is the only one that exists. Not hugely impressed with the UB and UU. Neither make much sense in the context of Anglo-Saxon England, which existed from the 5th century until the 11th century. The Huscarl was Danish, introduced right at the end of Anglo-Saxon England in the 11th century when the Danish conquered England, so a Huscarl is neither Anglo-Saxon nor represents the majority of the Anglo-Saxon period. Shire Courts are definitely Anglo-Saxon but have nothing to do with culture. Both units are much too late as well, Anglo-Saxon England existed in the dead middle of the Medieval period, not the Renaissance. For the UB, I'd keep the shire court but make it replace the workshop. They existed to allocate tax money for the betterment of the community, so increasing production and being available in the medieval era suits it nicely.

i want this badly but i dont have denmark DLC
JFD  [author] 13 Dec, 2015 @ 2:17pm
@eugmosher You need the Denmark DLC to use both.
eugmosher 13 Dec, 2015 @ 12:48pm
I just subscribed to 12 of your civilizations and there are 2 that show "missing dependancies" I have followed your instructions on direct download using 7zip, with the same problem. I am new to steam and new to mods as well. Any help would be great. The mods that I canuse use are great. Would like to use the Anglo Saxons and Norway soon. These are the 2 that show that particular error. Thanks in advance!

The Direful Spring 21 Apr, 2015 @ 10:17am
My I suggest a better Huscarl bous would be a bonus when othe Huscarls are next to it so as to replicate the shield wall. Either that or a bonus while fortified.
downntheholler 25 Jan, 2015 @ 8:55am
Where do you find it? Is it part of JFD's or one of his mods? I found the Denmark that had harolds bluetooth but when sub'ed it also showed it had dependants.
Magnetar 22 Jan, 2015 @ 9:14pm
@antoniojmunoz If you don't have the Vikings DLC with Harold Bluetooth they won't work.
amunoz 22 Jan, 2015 @ 11:29am
I can't seem to use ANY mods that have vikings, norwegians, celts, danes, etc. Everytime I download these civs, and try to turn them on, I am told that I am missing this or that. How can I get this worked out? I have downloaded and paid for the Korean mod, Wonders mod, scrambled nations, etc. but no matter what I do, I am still unable to use ANY nordic civilization. Can someone tell me what is going on?

Wait, what if you build the Shire Court in a city other than your capital? And what does "Golden Age Progress in impeded by 33% less Unhappiness" mean?
. 21 Nov, 2014 @ 6:48pm
Fenrir on the first page of responses had the same bug it seems like and it was never addressed.
. 21 Nov, 2014 @ 6:44pm
I'm not sure if its a bug or not but after reaching my first golden age, my culture goal falls from 510 to 408 for a single turn and then jumps to 570 during the turn after that. No tiles were changed and no new buildings were completed. The happiness bonus to golden age works fine.

looks nice

I've tried a coupl eof times to get this working, but it seems to call for a Harald Bluetoorh DLC which I can't find. Where could I find this?

Omg this is awesome since I am learning about Anglo-Saxons in English, and reading Beowulf.

Got it, really enjoy your mod and look forward that one!
JFD  [author] 14 Oct, 2014 @ 8:55pm
@williamsun1990 Not yet. Hopefully a beta will be released next month, after my exams.

Hi, JFD, is the mod Piety and Prestige avaliable now? I have cliked that link but found no button for me to download.

What tech is the Huscarl available in?

stange how one of the important civ of modern history is not in the basic game.
JFD  [author] 13 Oct, 2014 @ 8:41pm
@mikevarn It works for me and works for others who have reported on playthroughs.
Modrian 13 Oct, 2014 @ 7:14pm
Play note: Trait adjustments do not appear to be operational. No reduction in Culture cost goal when in GA (and no indirect adjjustment via C/turn). Also no adjustment, direct or indirect, to happiness accumulation before GA. Please check, unless I am interpreting what the traits should do incorrectly.

Hi!

Love the mod, and I mean who doesn't love more civs to play right?
Now, unfortunately, when I download the mod and enable it ingame (by checking in the checkbox under "MODS") I still can't see the new Civilizations when I try to set up a new game.

I'm terribly new to modding. Is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks

FINALLY THERE'S AN ANGLO-SAXON MOD! I can't believe it took this long for someone to make one!

Thank you soooooooooo much!

@July Lol

We should only stick to making European civs because they are the only group to have culture. The rest (Africans, Native Americans, Middle Eastern, Asians, Polynesians) are backwards people with no culture.
NerdExtrodinare 11 Oct, 2014 @ 11:05pm
Interesting civ, but the Huscarl's obseenly powerful, since if they're avaiable at swordsment you're a leap ahead of everyone.
EvilAngel293 11 Oct, 2014 @ 6:56pm
I want to try! xD
