Got no choice due to code relying on Map Mods.
This mod can't be updated until the map mods and Highways updates, sorry.
Right, invite sent
Sure and all good, bouta update some balance changes and bug fixes for LAE, EO+, and Furry Mayhem. Shouldn't be save breaking(Thank you Paradox for your code changes to modifiers, lol)
Oh, lots.
Also, I ran this without updating so I missed Fox Doctrine and the other fixes with and after it, so sorry if I got you confused
Actually - continue on Discord?
Were all of these answers helpful for ya?
Also on the Giant stuff, no. New World has to have a downside.
Fixed, not uploading da fix yet tho.
Weird?
It shoulda been giving negative organization and negative reinforce rate.
I'll fix that on my end.
Let me be more specific. Having a dynamic spirit for EVERY focus branch might become a bit too much. I get that it is necessary at times but I just see it as lazy and inefficient. Especially since it is unable to have many types of modifiers such as Air Range.
Also, regardless, no, I will still have to because then people will ask "What this thing do?" for every debuff added to the modifier. I ain't adding em, but Zach is and I will adapt from there.
...Shattered comms gives -45% div speed. This one thing busts mah balls like a metal baseball
Yeah, fair on Dunce
Fair on Giant, but the 28% (I think) jump is still fuck-high, plz nerf
Dynamic spirits are inefficient? Whut? Huh? Mate, you want a separate natspirit for every military installation? At late game the player has so many spirits that the menu needs a slider
Maybe swapping spirits is better for spirits that don't need that many 'upgrades', but with the sheer bloat of natspirits ERX has (one of the only complaints against the mod I have) a few dynamic modifiers would help a ton
And you wouldn't have to do GFX/localization/focus tree changes for every new one
Maybe it's lazy, but it's not inefficient, boss. And your debuffs are fine, they all pertain to different things and get solved differently
Not removing a slot or making Dunce worse.
I also didn't touch speed for PA or Units as that wouldn't make sense.
The reason it makes you have so much consumer goods is because as the giant is awakening, civilians will expect factories to be able to more better meet their needs. This is lessened if you have gone down Old World in MIC.
I hate dynamic spirits, I feel they are lazy and inefficient but Zach is adding that. I hate it and my debuffs are staying as is, dynamic or not.
Yayyyyy, Airborne for da win.
(2/2)
I am also confused why the spirit 'awakening giant' gives this much consumer goods when it gets buffed - at the stages of the game when Arsenal of Democracy becomes available the player has hundreds of mils to use as he pleases, and civs start being more important for coring, so that consumer goods rising so sharply deters a player from interacting with this whole tree
Also, 'reform the us army' should be a dynamic modifier that gets SLIGHTLY buffed at the end of every sub-branch
Overall, quality work boss. As a reward, I made sure your general was the one to take Chicago in my game. Can't wait to see what else you think up
(1/2)
Fox
I have returned from trying out ERX with LAE and I have a few words for you. I'm sorry that it took me so long, but the double whammy of American Dunce and Enclave Brain Drain temporarily unresearched my ability to type and read in English
(FYI I still think American Dunce isn't punishing enough, it should remove a research slot too)
I think all of the new national spirits are pretty good, (you nailed the aspect of PA being hella strong when orged but not being able to org in the first place) but the division speed specifically is causing me big ass pains, plz buff
I did also have to modify the load order of my mods so that might be a problem with you as well.
Weird.
@ExivusRift
I dunno why that would happen.
Don't know why this fixed anything, but I just disabled the ai for a bit and then turned 'em back on, and the game didn't crash. It's been long enough since i turned the ai off that whatever caused them to crash the game should've happened by now so I'm just gonna assume I solved the problem,
I dunno why it would be crashing for ya, sorry.
That was because Arsenal of Democracy, the MIC's first focus, was supposed to replace the Comatose Giant with a lessened debuff.
Restart save if you have completed Arsenal of Democracy already.
Also, Fox Rating has been upped to 9/10
Sidenote as a tip, if your ever confused, click the details button of unlocked tech via events to see what the tech does and for a description.
5/10
Oh
It's meant to be there?
Alright, uh, that might've been because of the twenty tech mods I'm running...
Disregard my rambling then. And rate the fox, please
Just look into the OWB Reward Tech tab, all the tech is there outside of the Zach PA and Sub techs.
Eh, understandable. You're the boss, boss, this is your mod and I'm just sum weirdo in the steam comments
(...still, could you write down what the new techs (both here and in military installations) do somewhere, cause I'm, uh, pretty lost)
Also, have a fox
https://www.lego.com/en-fr/product/forest-animals-red-fox-31154
Mostly because it feels like I'm explaining EVERYTHING. I get not everyone is gonna know stuff off the bat but if I start putting in tooltips for stuff, people are gonna start asking for tooltips in other places and before ya know it, I have a greenhorn asking me to put in a tooltip of what EACH event means and does instead of just reading the event itself or going for it.
I ain't gonna put tooltips for tech and stuff, just gotta go with the groove and seek adventure. This is the Wasteland, not Patty Princess Pretty Parlor or whatever, lol.
Fair on point two (and yeah, deleting rn actually)
But how are tooltips handholding the player? I know what Air Technicians and Grease Monkeys does because I played ERX when they were still in the focus tree - but a new player has no way to figure out the effects of them, much less other ones.
Admittedly the ones that add troops don't need it, but still
No, not handholding the player.
Also, no, Zach will have late-game debuffs handled.
And also, just delete equipment, lol.
Suggestion: could you add a tooltip for all the new techs given by events, to explain what they do?
Also, please give the player a lategame debuff about equipment quality or whatever else that allows for the player to dump tons of pipe guns and other stuff - late game the player has so much shit from conquests that the game starts glitching. The army surely doesn't want to give their PA units pipe guns or slashing melee weaponry, surely...
Debuff industry, income, recruitable population, and research
One's also a buff until you restore DC.
What do the new spirits you singled out do? I'm in the middle of a game so I can't exactly loohk at them.
Nah, ya can disable if ya want.
Depends on what I see.
Also, le no for now.
Two things:
Will LAE be doing anything with the focuses that Zach just teased?
I've an idea for a debuff you'll like! Equipment quality! After all, after beating the NCR/Legion, the Enclave might want to, you know, not issue their soldiers rusty pipe guns and knives? So, at some point halfway though the playthrough, the player has a fuckton of the cheapest equipment deleted, and a -50% equipment ratio modifier. Thoughts?
Not adding a research debuff, lol. Your in pain as is. Also no, lol.
We Are America is a tech from my RP Mod, its so people can have fun if they want. It basically makes it to where Justifications take 10 days.
Aw, shame. Still, a research debuff for LAE would be welcome - say, when running away the purists damage some irreplaceable research equipment, and it gets replaced only with, say, the Cochise Machine or Legacy of DARPA.
And did you add an event that gives a 'We are America!' technology? If yeah, what does it even do, cause I've no idea whatsoever
1. Not changing it for now. Placeholder if ya will.
2. Already a thing, play le mod.
3. No, Furry Mayhem is a different continuity from Tails' fic.
Note: Tails is the nickname I gave to CSE on the Discord.
4. Been planned but right now I'm focused on Deserter events for Reformers getting Chicago remnants...still stupid as heck...under Zach orders and I'm waiting on Zach to write events for the Midwest BOS. Ya probs won't see anything till post-Jefferson or post-Madison.
Three, have Foxstrot adopt Tails. I know Prower is there, but Sons of Mobius is a different continuity from ControlStationEnclave's fic, so this is a must, disagreement will be met with flamethrowers
And four, have you considered doing Chicago events for purists? But, obviously not for Chicago, but for the Midwest Brotherhood? Anderson and his echo chamber followers have had it good for too long, comrade-general Bowerstone will surely lead his 800 Horrigan PA Super Mutants to victory o'er the Enclave!
Well, it's still a bonkers amount of buffs, methinks. Bryce Warner too, now that I see him
Welp, uh, on suggestions, the first one is that McClellan's portrait could be different - one, another general has basically the same model but in black, two, McC is an importunt character, three, his face looks derpy as shit when you look close
Two, if you're doing so many massive debuffs early game, then you could both stagger the existing ones out (say, getting a few of the ones that are on gamestart now only after getting rid of 'Motivated by Vengeance'), as well as new ones in the focus tree's course (in particular, research is the one thing that remains untouched by the debuffs, and Brain Drain... is not punishing enough, and purists are heavily represented in the science depts...)
Alister has the least due to being rusty but he was basically the Lombax Army Chief of Staff
Amadeus has the second most due to being head of the Acorn Royal Armed Forces
McClellan has the most due to his knowledge and experience as an Army officer and knowing how to properly lead troops.
All three traits will likely be rebalanced as time goes on.
Thanks! Though, I am on the Discord, on your ping list for mods, so I am active, just the comments flow in when I am in the middle of a playthrough.
And, on that point, jesus, do Prower, Mcclellan and Azimuth have a fuckton of modifiers.
Yup, also good to see ya commenting, been a while, lol.
