@RebelSoldier bro you forgot that the laser with the army is made very crookedly that it is easier to open the sight to shoot and get in the head than to suffer with this crooked laser shooting with a laser in the army is even crazy, well it's fucking stupid and ACE is also a mod to put it mildly not the best and even just shit dog but the joke is that these are fucking server settings go into the game and check in navan that in the server settings it is fucking impossible to change the value and permission to use other cheats

@chornobrivecmaksim1 That's an ACE function lol. You can't use most optics or iron sights with NVG's because they physically obstruct bringing your rifle to your face and have a fixed focus. That's the entire point of having an IR laser, so you can still have an idea of where your rounds are going.

question and what the hell did you do so that when aiming the NVG was removed for what? to rape the player's eyes? why at night when aiming you can't see anything at all because the screen is just black
that's the question I'm silent there 50-10 m distance in close who can you see when the screen is black what the hell just what the hell spoils the impression of the mission you did a complete shit especially well I don't want to offend someone well well really you did a complete thing

I'm attempting to make my own scenario with ALIVE. I've got the basics down but I'm trying to have objectives pop up on the map like how you have in that 2nd picture anytime I load it up the map is blank with no markers or red/ blue squares. Could you help me out?

@Rebel I give it a try, and when I hit save server button it's looks like it saving, but when I start mission again, everything seems to be reset.

Do you know what is wrong?

@Insane I added a data module with the update last night check persistency on everything but CQB AI

Cherno and Elektro have virtual garrisons placed by myself and I also halved their spawn rate last update because I noticed the same issue. Without them the cities get bowled over fast in virtual combat and it doesn't give the player much opportunity for urban fighting. LMK how it goes performance-wise and if it's still pretty bad then I'll dial back the CQB AI in those locations.

@RebelSchutze So I manually added Save module, and it seems that everything is working.


I have another question - Sometimes in the city a squads are spawning like crazy. Often from both sides. Do you know why?

@Insane That's somethign I'd have to do on my end, I can re update sometime soon with a data module. However i have not done any troubleshooting nor have any experience with server-side ALiVE saving

Now I have another problem - Saves dosen't work. When I want to Server Save, it's says that "Alive data module was not placed" Is about the module that need to be on map?

addon CAData is a CUP Terrains thing I believe, I would just delete and reinstall it on you server, and ofc verify the launch code

@Insane Hey man I'll double check it on my server when I get a chance to. Unless I fuck up and forget to switch mod sets I only export/publish missions with the required list that is this page. Typically a server showing 0/0 slots for a mission means that it is a mod issue.

Hi! I'm unable to play this scenario.First I've tried to play it via Arma server module. There is 0 seats, so I cannot run mission. Then I tried to run it via FASTER, with every mod required. There in loading mission i got error "Addon cup_bohemia_data requires addon CAData". So I've tried to open it in the editor, but there I got information that I don't have "myTag_addonName"

Could you help me run this scenario?

@Davix I'll do another run on the server soon and benchmark it again. I did change the number of virtual AI groups garrisoned there as well as increased blufor spawn so that they could occupy the map better/more realistically.

Also if you have the opportunity, try the scenario out on the server and see how you like it, you may get better performance. The server accepts any client side mod so you can run what you like.

Also i don't know if that only happens to me, but chernogosk spawn way too many soldiers both opfor and blufor and that makes my game quite laggy, i can just go somwhere else and it's all good but i would like to liberate the city

@Davix Not atm but I could put them in if you'd like. This was a pvp scenario so I had originally substituted the Abrams for the LAV for balance purposes.

@Micky The only mods I have tested with have been those I run on my server, and ofc those I recommend. I'm sure most others would do fine. LAMBS AI/DCO/PIR are advised by DCO's creators not to be run together but I've done quite a bit of testing and it seems to mostly produce the results I want. I've done some tunes to the addon options to ensure maximum compatibility with a focus on LAMB's suppressive fire and DCO's reactions and suppression.

Additionally I run the usual client side battery of immersion mods, Immerse, Align, SFX, enhanced Soundscape, Aaren's tracers, etc.

@onestar Blufor has a respawning ALIVE helicopter support you can use to taxi across the battlefield and there are also capturable respawn/arsenal points w/ vehicles that the player can take advantage of to resupply. People that love playing solo snipers or vehicle commanders would probably love this mission.

AI density is fairly high so finding combat as a solo is very easy. Winning it may be more difficult.

That being said ALiVE is a RAM pig especially if you're trying to cover a map as large as chernarus like I am so I highly recommend playing this mission on a server w/ headless clients. I personally run this mission at 40-60 frames but I also have a new $1600 desktop and remote server.

@Lion yes ofc. This mission allows pvp but it can be played without any on either side. I will probably make coop-only versions of this mission once I am fully satisfied with it so that way you can play either side and stake advantage of Alive support modules.

@Nacho currently am using the vanilla virtual supports for Team Leader role. However these sometimes break when using a dedicated server. Ideally I'd like to give each side an ALiVE support requester however I think it only works for one side. Either I will release two coop versions of this mission for each playable side or I'll get a solution made for the ALiVE supports.

That being said on my missions an ALiVE support can be called through the Alive menu key and only requires a map item.

Thanks for your interest, let me know if you have any bug reports or suggestions. I implore you to try out the server sometime as that is what the mission is configured for primarily.
