Not sure why but VS_SettlementDefeatUtility_CheckDefeated:Prefix shows up as around 0.3ms on Dubs Performance Analyzer for me.

Not sure if it was this mod, but I visited a settlement and then left which for some reason polluted the tile, making them hostile with me. Wasn't carrying any wastepacks or anything.

Well done! This mod made all my vehicle teams disappear without any red error messages. They just drove into the base and then vanished completely

@Rosadrop Q: How can I prevent my items mixing up with settlement items when reforming a caravan?
A: Put them in your colonists' inventories before reforming.

I always get a reputation loss for stealing when i leave a visited settlement, even though I did not take a thing from them! I only had some rice and silver with me and these were the only items (including my caravan animal) that i had with me. I selected these in the exact amounts as i reformed the caravan, and after i press 'send' it informs me of the relation worsening because of stealing. I don't know what to do :'(

I have a proposition: The ability to visit any colony you have abandoned. I find it annoying not being able to visit previously wrecked attempts to make a base and not be able to collect valuable things from your ruined base at a later date. If anybody can do it, I believe it's you. Either way, if you take the task on or decide not to, this is a fine mod and a brilliant idea, it really makes the game more immersive.

@Nanook From the description: When reloading into a previous save where you were in a settlement, you might get a "Base Destroyed" notification. The current workaround is to reload the same save again, which prevents the defeated check from triggering.

@ferny As far as I know, the vanilla vehicle expand mod has tons of compatibility problems with other mods. If you are using a vehicle in Caravan, it is normal to encounter unpredictable problems.

Hey awesome mod, I really like the idea. I was wondering if it would be possible for the pawns in the settlement to trade you what the settlement has available when you trade via the overworld instead of the same items each time?

It seems if a hostile pawn is killed anywhere on the map while your colonists are inside a vehicle, you lose the caravan. Very odd issue.

Anyone know how I would go about automatically stealing everything in a settlement? I've tried using minify everything to take the walls as well when reforming caravan so that theoretically my colonists would have nothing in their way but it still says my colonists can't reach any items. I used to be able to do this D:

Question, what specifically falls under "encroaching"? I just entered a friendly settlement because I'm playing with Dub's Hygiene and needed to quench the thirst of my caravan, but my relationship plummeted down from +75 to -20 before the map even finished loading because I was encroaching. Is it a "drafted" status thing? Because I am equipped with a Mule from Vehicles Expanded.

@HelleboreFlower That’s all based on vanilla mechanics, aka how regular raids work. I don’t really remember but I think settlements are assigned certain pawns? I know that if a pawn is in a faction you can meet them in their settlements.

@Nanook I think it does, there was a big sos2 series with this mod in it.

@Mark Bobaba I don’t really have the time or will to mod at all anymore but I’m happy to accept any PRs on github. I did consider doing that originally but iirc rimworld handles caravan inventories differently and it’d be a bit tricky to implement. Also having to load the map every time you want to trade would be a bit inconvenient especially if you’re using mods like vanilla base gen expanded where it takes a long time to generate. It would definitely be better if it was an option though.

If this becomes fully fleshed out I think it would be really great. As @saintbrutal said I think you should add a designated trader to the settlement. If that happened whenever you come to trade you could just have it generate the map and enter would be very immersive

seems like if i visit the settlement and trade supplies via right click interaction with a single pawn, it only offers whats in their inventory. Is there a way to have the normal trade stuff when im inside the settlement instead?
