Happy to see this get updated soon. I simply cannot imagine a play-through without this mod and the one that lets you use the moisture pump to create rich soil.

Just you know, vanilla plants expanded it's not compatible.
Use this with other tilled soil mod, because since vanilla plants expanded makes you have to do tilled soil again and again, instead of leaving behind the soil, after a harvest your soil just dissapears

Only a couple mods missing until I can start a run. :)

Glad this is going to be updated to 1.6. One of my favourite mods. Thank you Mlie!
Mlie  [author] 2 Jul @ 3:39pm
@RomainG Updating all of my mods, see discord for progress
RomainG 2 Jul @ 2:28pm
Thanks for your amazing contribution to the community btw :)
RomainG 2 Jul @ 2:27pm
I know I'm gonna be that one guy but... any chance you port it to 1.6 ? Also, since the water freezing mechanic will be locked behind the DLC, will you port Water Freezes to 1.6 ?
Deggial 1 Jul @ 1:42pm
So, both incidents are *not* related.
This... this is bizarre!

Thank you for maintaining all these essential mods, Mlie.
Now I know for sure and more than ever that I'm not made for modding.
Mlie  [author] 1 Jul @ 11:05am
@Deggial Yes, the cosistent deep drilling change they did was that whatever stone you place the drill on, results in that stone type cunk produced. The dependency of this mod controls the stone types that spawn when you remove the soil/sand, that is still random in 1.6.
Deggial 1 Jul @ 10:56am
Yep, I was refering to the deep drilling consistency.
So, "soil relocation" does use *another* feature added by "Consistent Map Stone" then?

Fair enough. :)
Thank you for answering!
Mlie  [author] 1 Jul @ 10:39am
@Deggial Oh, you are referring to the deep-drilling consistency. That is not what this mod does.
Mlie  [author] 1 Jul @ 10:11am
@Deggial I wasnt aware of such a change, where do you see that?
Deggial 1 Jul @ 9:55am
Hi @Mlie,
as RimWorld 1.6 will support consistent stone, would it be possible to remove the related dependency?

That would mean one less mod to worry about updating and one less mod to bloat loading times. (Even if they manage to reduce these with 1.6.)
turol 22 Jun @ 12:13pm
It's "Resource Dictionary" and it seems to work (after proper configuration). Thanks.
Mlie  [author] 22 Jun @ 10:40am
@turol I think there is a mod for that. Resource Directory or something
turol 22 Jun @ 10:11am
Could you make it so that your soil and FSF soil are recognized as the the same object?
Mlie  [author] 22 Jun @ 10:05am
@turol I have no plans on expanding on the mod
turol 22 Jun @ 9:40am
Could you add an enrichment mechanic like in [FSF] Simply Soil?

In short you can create fertilizer from plants, Dubs bad hygiene biowaste or Vanilla Recycling Expanded biopacks and then combine that fertilizer with soil for higher tier soil.
toeseamigo 20 Jun @ 1:05pm
I wanted to change cost of place soil from 10 to 3, but when I change it in local files, the amount of resources from digging also changes to smaller values. Does anyone know how to fix it?

artificial water spot works great with this.
Mlie  [author] 16 May @ 3:59am
@[User Deleted] Growing fungus is not the only way of getting them.
[User Deleted] 16 May @ 3:36am
I had fungal gravel still costing raw fungus with all the optional material requirements disabled. Toggled on/off again and restarted, didn't work. Also question, how are you supposed to get fungus to build the gravel when you need the gravel to even plant fungus?
lukxd99 8 May @ 2:19pm
Is there a mod like this that allows me to dig out lakes and make shallow/deep water artificially?
Mlie  [author] 3 May @ 10:30am
@Kerican No, you can look at the changenotes for any changes
Kerican 3 May @ 10:12am
Has their been any change in this mod? Now when I dig up Soil, I get Wet Soil underneath, where as I used to get stone?
Zeakol 30 Apr @ 1:56am
So having an issue filling in water with 'Water Freezes' installed as well. I use soil on 'natural shallow water' and it won't fill in. It just reverts back to water.
Mlie  [author] 24 Apr @ 7:38am
@Tsep Does not happen with only this mod loaded so your issue is due to some other mod.
Tsep 23 Apr @ 3:16pm
soil generated on the map at the start contributes to your wealth - or atleast on my game. fixed it by setting the market value to 0 with RIMMSqol, removed like 45k wealth from the map that was making raids too big at the start
Geno Cidal 18 Apr @ 8:09pm
Will this mod allow me to convert soft soil, into something I can pave over?
LapisAzure 16 Apr @ 8:06pm
There's a weird interaction with the soil of this mod and the tilled soil from Vanilla Plants Expanded: If you put in a square of soil, till that, plant something and then cut/harvest that plant, both the tilled soil from VPE and the underlying soil are removed.
Mlie  [author] 15 Apr @ 9:58pm
@Inglix If you could link to that mod Ill add a notice about it
Inglix 15 Apr @ 8:07pm
Both this mod and "Argonic Core" run transpilers on Frame.GetInspectString which attempt to change the same line within that method. Probably not much you can do about that beyond adding a note to the description that they aren't compatible with one another.
Ink Rabbit Yearning 4 Apr @ 8:38pm
@Mlie I'm really looking forward to your update.
Ink Rabbit Yearning 3 Apr @ 10:25pm
Because your sand can be used for fortifications, but his sand can't, and your sand isn't always available and made.Thank you.
Mlie  [author] 3 Apr @ 10:16pm
@Ink Rabbit Yearning Its already on the todolist
Ink Rabbit Yearning 3 Apr @ 10:12pm
Could you please consider adding ReBuild: Doors and Corners to the patch list? It's a big enough mod that also adds glass, and I'd like to use the sand from this rather than stone chunks for it if it's not too much trouble.

Mlie  [author] 2 Apr @ 9:38pm
@WinZZer Do the mods conflict with each other or do you just dont want the feature?
Sly Marbo 26 Mar @ 7:34am
Would it be possible to add changing the cost multiplicative for filling in water/wet tiles in the mod options? Filling in shallow ocean tiles costs 640 sand which is a ridiculous amount compared to the 20 it takes to fill in other tiles. I can understand if the cost was 3x or even 5x higher but 32x higher just makes it too difficult to be worth it.

Ok, its Water Freezes that's causing the issue. Without Water Freezes soil can be placed as it should, not only by Soil relocation but also with Dev Mode On. With Water Freezes ON, once you place it, after few seconds soil changed into water. Makes sense now... idk if Water F. has code that allows changes to water, cause so far seems like (IF water is Here, apply Freezing mechanic {Override any other settings on water}). Thats first thing that comes to my mind
SiaNKs 16 Feb @ 3:32pm
Alright, I took out Soil Relocation and Water Freezes and water behaved just fine when i placed soil on top of it, it flooded the soil. One of these mods conflict with one of water based mod (biome mod) or Water freezes conflict with Soil Reloc. Im going to sleep, will check the rest tomorrow
SiaNKs 16 Feb @ 1:03pm
Ok, after some testing, its even in vanilla, something else is bugging water, i will let u know once i find out
SiaNKs 16 Feb @ 12:47pm
I found out its More vanilla biomes problem, i think. I used moisture pump and it took away some land... but the moment it's dry, it's getting flooded again, but after like 2s its getting back to being dry. Either Water freezes or that specific Desert Oasis place is problem
Mlie  [author] 15 Feb @ 10:51pm
@SiaNKs This mod does not change it by itself so that is due to some other mod. You should only need to fill a cell once regardless of the water depth. It just changes the time it takes to do the task.
SiaNKs 15 Feb @ 4:53pm
if Water depth is 100, we have to fill it 100 times? I tried to fill up 4x4 pool of water with stony soil, i refilled it 16 times and gave up. Its like when u refill it and hover it, it says Water Depth 100, Stony Soil, Fert 87%. So it seems like soil is there, but still it detects it as water, after like 15 s this soil changes into water or disappears more so. Im playing on Dessert Oasis its from More Vanilla Biomes, but lets be fair, its water like any other... unless code has to be adjusted to specific biome
SiaNKs 15 Feb @ 3:35pm
got like 300 mods, only ones that affect bioms etc, are regrowth, more vanilla biomes and water frezzes
SiaNKs 15 Feb @ 3:33pm
nope. how long should it take for us to fill up the water tho?
Mlie  [author] 15 Feb @ 1:53pm
@SiaNKs Is this with only this mod loaded?
SiaNKs 15 Feb @ 1:49pm
So, I have shallow water 100 depth, im focusing on one spot and placing stony soil in it non stop, and every time i do that it just gets flooded. Does it work like when u fill lake, random parts are becoming dry or that specific spot that you putted soil into? If second case then its not working for me
