Then that is the cause of your problem. This mod has dependencies (listed on the right side of this page).
Try running it with just Social Engineering and Extremism DLCs enabled.
Are other mods working? How did you notice that it's not working (did the game give an error message, are some of the game mechanics broken, etc)?
Could you deactivate Clones & Drones and Electioneering and test if it works? When Clones & Drones was released it broke the mod. Maybe the same happened with Electioneering.
Cheers, I'm glad you liked it. I'm not currently developing the mod as I don't have the latest DLC, but when I eventually get it I will most likely do a big update/overhaul as well. I just have to wait what stupid things the politicians do so that I can make the mod as realistic as possible. ;)
I've just tried this mod.
It's not as difficult as I'd expected (so I tried pursuing Free Market Paradise and get assassinated, lol), but it has an interesting start. Good job!
Mostly the Swedish-speaking, but there are some exceptions as always.
The Finland-specific policies are restricted ones and shouldn't be accessible when playing other countries. If you change your mind in the future then you still have my permission to use this mod. :)
Seems like the Finland-specific policies are needed, anyway. Will probably add Spain to the Superpower mod instead. Playing Finland with Superpower would be interesting, though.
That's not how mandatory Swedish works in Finland. It causes tension between Finns and the 5% because the 95% have to learn almost completely useless language they will probably never have to use.
Nobody likes the new alcohol law. It could make religious mildly more happy, but even conservatives don't like it. ;)
* Environmentalists should oppose Wolf Hunting.
* Mandatory Swedish should reduce Racial Tension, but carry a cost.
* Some voter group (Parents, Conservatives or Religious) should be happy from alcohol ad bans.
Sure, feel free to use the mod. Do I have to notify you when this mod gets an update, or do you update it yourself?
In fact, religion is not really a factor in Singapore politics. Since everyone lives in religious harmony and acceptance.
I've never lived in Singapore so I don't have any idea how different policies actually work there. No idea what is the VAT, the income tax and if it is progressive or not. Any other taxes out there? How big are different social groups when compared to others? Does the government fund public transportation? I would get some info by googling (GDP and poverty rates for example), but that's about it. The "mod" would pretty much be a background flag and completely irrelevant and fictitious starting situation.
PS. Democracy 3 only supports one religious voter group, so if you want to have different voter groups for different religions then that's not possible. Voter groups are hardcoded.
PPS. Germany, UK and France are anti-science..?
Engine limitations still apply... ;)
Basically this mod is just a "skin". It adds some country-specific policies and sets a certain starting condition but the rest are purely cosmetical (for example the background picture, party names and random names for the ministers). Unfortunately it's not possible to mod anything else, so unfortunately there are things I can't include. Because of this the voting works exactly like it works in the vanilla game.
Me too. The problem is that I would have to translate them word for word or else the quotes will lose the context. I'm not that good with English. ;)
Thanks for the suggestion. It would give more reasons to abolish the law completely. Not sure what is a balanced cost, but I wrote this up to my todo-list.
Ya, I was planning to make it hurt foreign relation if set too low. I've been designing something that might as well be unnecessarily complex: Wolf Conservation affects Wolf Population simulation (blue bubble), and the higher that is the less farmers like you and if it is too low foreign relationship gets a hit. Wolves reproduce, and you have to balance it so that they don't go extinct (assuming you want to please the farmers, that is). Extinction is a situation (red bubble) that greatly affects foreign relations and environmentalists.
...Or I might just tweak the values and add some inertia to simulate all this...
I might translate some of the quotes.
Thanks for the feedback.
Wolf hunting should also affect foreign relations (worse when hunting is allowed).
