@FreeParmenion The steam tank explosive round upgrade in Elspeth's gunnery school doesn't do anything. It's also been reported to the community bugfix patch team, but they haven't done anything on it yes.

Hey, I had a look into adding the grapeshot to the steam tanks: even with creating a new missile weapon in the tables - doesn't work. I tried several times now with different ideas but I'm not that into modding units, I pretty sure it is doable, but I can't find it in the time I am willing to dedicate to this.
In my opinion the steam tanks are pretty op with this mod nevertheless and even after the recent nerfs. So the mod stays as it is right now.
If someone is willing to work it out and wants to include it here, feel free to send me the info. Or you release your own mod.

So the way the grape shot works is with an ability hooked up to cannons. You'd basically have to make a new projectile. It's not hard but it's a bit more than just adding it to the table.

While im not a modder, i do want to say in case you get this working in the future that the steam tanks also need to have an option to select regular cannon balls like the cannon unit. While i doubt that could be the issue, theres no harm in trying

Just popping in to say that so far, the grape shot doesnt work for steam tanks, at least for the Emperors Wrath. This modding shit is hard, im so sorry this is still happening lmao

Grape shot for the normal tanks still doesn't work. But I kept my try to implement that into the files, since it doesn't hurt. Can you give me a hint there as well?

I figured out how to fix it!

It isn't enough to add the tank to the unit group getting passed upgrades. There's an entry in effect_bonus_value_missile_weapon_junctions_tables, line 194, you'll need to copy. It's what swaps the weapon. Just use ID 1872655932 in the missile weapon junction field. (There is still a unique ID set up in unit_missile_weapon_junction_tables, line 154, with ID 1872655932 that I think used to be what was hooked up there before the patch.)

@RaozSpaz yeah I tested it and recognized it as well. It doesn't work for the normal steam tank too. I tried around but cannot fix this. Hey. Wanting to comment on this right quick [not that I particularly think its necessary but]. The tier 3 upgrade for the Great Cannon does not actually push through on to the Steam Tank. At least not the Emperor's Wrath [havent had a chance to test a basic tank since Wrath's are SOOO much easier to come by as Nuln]. Is this just an issue with how the upgrade works or something you may of missed? Either way love the mod <3

Hey! Cool mod. I suggest giving its usefulness (in particular in shuffling around buildings for the Empire) you probably want to check out the Sigmar's Heirs submod "Lite" by @chopchop

Thank you for returning this :). Gotta love a bit of double dipping especially now that my boi Nurgle is on the rise. I'd even like to see more overlaps to be fair. I wonder if it's possible to add further upgrades segments...possibilities for this mechanic for mods is huge.
