@TheMarkuss :

"Bread and games" cost food because :
-Food given to people to make it happy;
-Food consumption due to festivity.

Finally, food consumption increased, food stocks decreased..
Concerning food malus ,the mod is realistic imo ;)

Why the edict called bread and games cost 2 food?
At that time they gave bread to fill the stomach and games to entertain
I mean, they should give at least 1 of food

It's been a while but I'll try to help you out! Sorry about the super late response, I just spent a month in Europe with no pc haha

with the Pack File Manager you can add tables that affect the game in many ways- the one(s) you want all have 'effect' at the start of their name. I can help you out further with all that if you're unable to figure it out/still wanting help :)

How do you mod edicts?
drazan 12 Oct, 2014 @ 10:52am
another option would be
-negative public order
-negative slave decline
-increased wealth from slaves
-increased wealth from commerce
-increased wealth from agriculture
-increased wealth from industry
-increased wealth from culture

basically the population is working their ass off, but not enough so the slaves aid them. increasingincome(local) by alot, while making the plebs unhappy

this could be a -10/15 penalty to public order

and a +5% to industry,agriculture,slaves,culture and +20% to commerce

yeah just graphical unfortunately, tariffs are a factionwide thang :/
drazan 12 Oct, 2014 @ 10:39am
no? playing as rome, you can see tradlines in water running to neapolis, those could be just graphical tho
Ø76923  [author] 12 Oct, 2014 @ 10:36am
ie a trade tariff effect wouldn't be able to be just for the edict region
Ø76923  [author] 12 Oct, 2014 @ 10:35am
that's a good idea but I think it'd have to be faction-wide so I'll stick with the corruption penalty. Will update this once I've uploaded my new mod :D
drazan 12 Oct, 2014 @ 10:32am
commercial edict could get a penalty to incoming trade tariffs. as you basically stimulate your local industry.

jus an opinion
Dalnar 11 Oct, 2014 @ 11:19am
I feel that the commercial stimulation should have some kind of drawback. Something like squalor penalty, or corruption in that province.
