Hey, maybe late suggestion, but what about adding a special ability to each faction that have access to high elf colonies? Like, if Slaanesh/Tzeench own it, units would have Tzeench or slaanesh mark, if Cathay owned then maybe harmony thing added to units.

i say to avoid puting it in lorelorn forest if you do that, they are already a landmark that kinda represent that (or maye take inspiration from it ?) https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wiki/Laurelorn_Forest_(Landmark)

Very reasonable, thanks for considering my note :)!

@Rincewind322 maybe I'll add wood elf communities in magical forest regions to this mod at some point. But generally speaking most factions lack distinctive regions to justify such a building chain. The high elves really stood out with their highlighted colony regions

Would you consider making other mods allowing for specific regional recruitment of other factions' units at thematically appropriate places? I love integrating the forces I conquer into my armies lol

thank, abd i understand, seen fun at least

@wolfFRdu64/Lounna regarding your last question: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2842673530
should make wood elf outposts upgradable for example
Dirty Dan  [author] 11 Dec, 2024 @ 11:25am
@wolfFRdu64/Lounna regarding your first question: the bonus should only affect its own region. To the second point: I don't consider the mod to be lore friendly and it wasn't really my intention. It was a proof of concept mod for me to test out how to create landmarks and building chains for specific regions and how the game handles the recruitment of foreign units.
wolfFRdu64/Lounna 11 Dec, 2024 @ 10:44am
also, do you recommend a mod for wood elf to add rank for wood elf out post ?

for the sister of avelorn it more possible, for they might be servent of allariel but they also have to protect sacred land from chaos and the elven collonie could be one of sutch place, tough they wouldn't serve any slannesh faction they cannot be corrupted, tzeench maybe, it couldn't corrupt them but it manipulate them

bonus : the white lion chrace wouldn't had any problem to go in an elven collonie, they are hunter first, body gard of the phenix kind after (and a small group of them at that), they worship kurnous over all other, and so his avatar orion, at a points when orion came in ulthuan to take revenge on the prince that killed Allisara (the mortal sister of ariel) they didn't fight and let orion kill them, so orion faction or his army could get bonus for the white lion

i had question, do the port income is all port or only local port ?

also, in term of lore the 3 last one could cause some problem, i will separate them to easier reading

the swordmasterswould be present for they are the equivalent of inquisitor in high elf culture but because of their job they wouldn't normally work for any slannesh faction (tough they aren't said to be incorrutible unlike other on the list)

the phenix garde, well garde the temple of azurian, the big one where malekith has burned so they are near no chance of one being in an elven collonie, but maybe for dark elf, if we follow endtime lore that say malekith was a phenix king so some could join him and other dark elf, but they wouldn't serve chaos aligned faction (exempted morathi because technically on her son side first) and they cannot be corrupted, also they have seen their futur and how they could die and we have no exemple of one trying to avoid their death

really fun mod. got it working with southern realms, since one of their lords starts there and added in some unit caps... which might be something you wanna think about, but thanks for a fun base to build off of. great work!

*gleeful slow clap*

when playing dark elves recruitable high elf units will now replace martial mastery and martial prowess with aura of suffering, which doesn't buff them anymore but units around them when they fall under 50% hitpoints
Rincewind322 4 Jun, 2024 @ 6:41pm
Expendable High Elves for Dark Elves is a great and hilarious idea, definitely Druchii humor lol
Drycha style effects would also make sense, or possibly army boosts for enslaved High Elves dying?
Rustic "Kalessin" Citrus 4 Jun, 2024 @ 10:31am
If i offer my 2 cents:

I would think Dark Elves would send the High elves STRAIGHT into slave camps at the least, or line them immediately up for sacrifice. Though it's essentially the same thing mechanically in game though
Dirty Dan  [author] 4 Jun, 2024 @ 7:57am
@Serj Targarien currently they do but high elf units get the expendable attribute to show that they are just forced military. Still unsure if i want to keep it that way and maybe add another effect that lowers their upkeep and combat effectiveness (like wood elves for drycha) or remove that functionality for dark elves entirely, as like you said they maybe hate high elves way too much to even field them in battle
Serj Targarien 4 Jun, 2024 @ 7:53am
Do the Dark Elves unlock the garrison and recruitable units too? Because that would be kind of offputting as they are sworn enemies in the lore and it doesn't make much sense for them to fight in the same army. Everything but the garrison and units would be kind of lore friendly, though.

Omfg expat colonies is like everything I want from total war, thank you!

@Im Back Bitches if IEE uses the same slot templates as mixu does it could be compatible, not tested though
Im Back Bitches 3 Jun, 2024 @ 12:32pm
Is this compatible with IEE ?
Im Back Bitches 3 Jun, 2024 @ 12:30pm
Lizardmen perhaps ?
Im Back Bitches 3 Jun, 2024 @ 12:30pm
that would be nice
Dirty Dan  [author] 3 Jun, 2024 @ 12:05pm
@Im Back Bitches high elves already get a special settlement building there. I didn't include factions where I assume that they would rather remove any high elf they find in their settlement. A building for dark elves that generates some slaves could be a good idea though
Im Back Bitches 3 Jun, 2024 @ 11:59am
why no High or Dark Elves that would make sense they can re colonize and get these bonuses :D
