Ah, you will want to look at the version for LWotC then. This is a drop in for the original mod. Tedster has a version specifically for LW, but it has extra dependencies too.

Ok so i got my first mec unit and im confused. You say its a drop in replacement for the lwotc version but doesnt have a brigadier level? Why should i use this over the other version then?

The redux is a drop-in replacement for the original MEC Troopers mod. Meaning it is meant to be feature equivalent to that original mod just with bug fixes and enhancements for other mods to take advantage of. So, depending on the class you are looking for, if it was in the original mod, it should be in this mod as well.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the armor schematics on the Engineering isn't compatible with [WOTC] Mechatronic Warfare: Total SPARK Overhaul part that insert Spark Armor to be unlocked together with Soldier Armor.

So, what happens is that there is the mechatronic combined schematics and another that probably is the combination of SPARK armor + MEC Trooper Armor.

It would be nice if it was compatible and had one schematic for Plated and another for Powered combining all 3 armors (soldier+spark+mec)

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I have the non-redux WOTC Mec mod installed already. Is there a way to turn this one on and disable the old one without losing / corrupting data?

At the very least, on my end, Skirmishers do not get the "Maurader" starting perk. Is it only the starting perk that is different? Haven't tested Reapers yet either and their free conceal.

I just wanted to ask, is there any difference between MEC Troopers, Marksman, Assaults, Heavy etc? I seem to get the same abilities on every mec.

I used the mecs on modded classes though, is that the issue?

I think it has something to do with the promotion screen. At one point my promotion screen was expansive and had multiple options on each tier like that of reapers, but somehow the mod now only displays 2 options like any normal class would and I think that's why it's bugged out

Hello, I've been enjoying this mod for a while now but recently I had a crash everytime my mec trooper enters a mission. At this point nothing had changed about my game, but it seems now everytime my character loads into any mission at all the second we land on the ground the game crashes. I had recently sent him on a operation mission and came back with a promotion but nothing else out of the ordinary happened. The mission I'm trying to load in is a chosen base mission, but other missions also crash when my character loads in. Is there something I'm going wrong? Thanks

Hi, sorry if the info is already somewhere, this mod then has the MEC Troopers without installing the other 16 mods that ask the Mec Troopers for LWOTC? I have stability issues so I try to keep a minimum of mods as possible and love this class.

If you are running the Shen's Last Gift DLC mission you have to complete that first. Basically, you have to have SPARKs ready and available before you can MEC folks.

so i'm playing this mod and i can't access the mec foundry upgrade despite having all of the necessary resources. I'm trying to find out what is keeping the proving grounds mec foundry upgrade grayed out but so far unsuccessful.

I apologize, I was mistaken which mod I was commenting on. This mod does *NOT* have the Amalgamation classes in it. This mod should have all of the same classes in it as the original MEC Troopers, which should include the skirmisher and reaper variants.

so is there a reason to still make hero mecs? because what would be the difference between a sharpshooter-made mec with a reaper-made mec? that classification it used to have makes them play differently. also im not for amalgamated classes myself, which is why i skipped the amalgamation mods.

The base MEC classes are all replaced with Amalgamated classes, including Reaper and Skirmisher variants.

im not sure if this has been asked but has the mec marauder(skirmisher) or mec scout(reaper) been removed or is it not visible when using reaper/skirmisher from the proficiency class?

@LA MUERTE Honestly, I have never tried using MEC Troopers in the TLP missions. I cannot advocate for that being a wise decision and will not actively hunt for bug fixes around that scenario. Best of luck in your endeavors.

If MECs are enabled in Resistance Operations (via the Legacy Tab), the MEC Troopers will have no weapon and thus cannot fire nor overwatch, only shoot a rocket and that is it.

@Butifarro There is a random bug that has been cropping up recently where a completed MEC Trooper will randomly be given a "normal" soldier class instead of the MEC trooper class that was picked. You will need to manually use a command line ability (like RebuildSelectedSoldiersClass from Additional Soldier Console Commands) to give them the right class.

It seems that this mod is not playing well with Reaper and Skirmisher Proficiency Class. I can't get MEC Reaper(Conceal) and MEC Skirmisher(Marauder). They only default to MEC Assault(Shock Absobers). While, in the original version, this has no problem and Proficiency Reaper and Skirmisher can augment into MEC of thier class fine.

Hello I have an issue where the game says "not enough resources for mec" even though i have 300 suplies and 4 cores. All my soldiers are squadies+. I also use amalgamation and amalgamation MEC troopers. Would love any help!

I Ttink it's because I didn't research SPARKs in the Proving Ground first. Will start a new game and try that first.
