I noticed that a decision GER_test_FYP doesn't work. Germany always pick PEG rather then FYP.
Drameczek444 7 Aug @ 10:53am
worst thing or just its bug that when i did front avoidance for romania now i cant set new target only state
DragonChaser94 7 Aug @ 6:21am
do you have to have all DLCs for this mod?
AzoorFox 6 Aug @ 12:14pm
R56 COMPATIBLE????????????
Axius 5 Aug @ 9:25pm
I just wanted to thank you guys for making this mod. This might be the first time I've genuinely struggled in HoI4, and I've beaten max-boosted Germany as the USSR without losing any cores. Thanks for the great work!

I noticed as Ger that Sov doesn’t build any tanks, just lots of infantry with AT, which was pretty much the perfect counter for my Heavy TD divisions. Reverting back to a save a year or so back to rethink. What kind of tank divs are recommend for Germany? Also, in general would be good division guides for them?
Statist Nr. 27 4 Aug @ 4:09am
Thanks I will try Vanilla History and then complain!
(just kidding obv.)

Stalin suddenly declared war on me in 1940 while i was playing kaiser germany and i expected to be pummeled but i suprisingly held, great work on the mod it finally makes the AI challenging
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:46am
@Statist Nr.27 Actually, just click Vanilla History

It will make Balkan countries play the more historical focus plans and will not flip too early except for Hungary
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:42am
@Statist Nr. 27 I can give you that game rule option,

In return, if you complain a word about Germany being weak or that you cannot carry the Axis, I will toss you into the sink
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:41am
@maremia I am not angry

I am simply disappointed

Players will do anything, but get pissed when AI does it?

I may as well forward your opinion to the bin
Statist Nr. 27 4 Aug @ 3:33am
Love the mod! Had to restart like 5 times as Italy and some obv. "cheesy" stuff as making ethopia as puppet so its safe don't work anymore, which I really like.

But would it be possible for Germany to stop inviting all Members so early? (Maybe a setting ?)
Playing as Italy, Germany invites me right after Ethopia war and also invites Bulgaria and Romania kinda early. A bit annoying if you want to conquer these countries as Italy :d
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:20am
I do however acknowledge that AI can access resources of annexed countries through bugs, which is why countries that are annexed through generic war effect in the mod automatically get Closed Economy so they cannot trade freely despite their non-existence

I have done much to bring a fair fight

AI isn't even the only ones to get factional trade coordination

Players by default also get it on historical, and can click buttons to have extra values exclusively for themselves.
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:18am
There is no such thing as AI having infinite resource even in vanilla, let alone here,

So don't speak bullshit

Coal will hurt AI far more than players

Nothing has ever hurt players more than it would hurt AI

So don't speak bullshit
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:17am
You want to have quick eco? Just do focus to get them.
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 4 Aug @ 3:16am
It is just factional trade coordination

I don't spawn factories out of thin air
SharpX 3 Aug @ 5:11am
@Renmax_Fake, the ai actually builds tank destroyers and meta divisions and planes. I got slam dunked as germany by the allies. Your tanks really aren't invincible anymore
RenMax_Fake 2 Aug @ 4:29pm
Does the AI finally build tanks or use anti-tank equipment? I got bloody tired of my armored divisions being invincible (among all the other things cited in the description) and this felt like something I couldn't really fix with cheats. But if this makes armor not be unstoppable and the AI have even a quarter of a brain, I just might play HOI again.
George Kwei 1 Aug @ 12:59pm
I was playing as historical Japan, I managed to destroy the US pacific fleet by 1943 and once I naval invaded mainland USA they basically had no troops there, I was able to just blitz through US with no resistance. After a grinding fight through Asia it felt disappointing. But other then that everything else was way better than Vanilla or even Road to 56
Nonebotson 1 Aug @ 2:48am
I saw they asked for testers on the mod, any way to apply or anything? I cant find the discord or any type of social to ask elsewhere
Chilly pop 30 Jul @ 11:11pm
would be cool if this was road to 56 compatible
Mr.Luobo 30 Jul @ 5:26am
Hi, how does this mod perform in non-historical mode? For example, if I customize settings for a Royalist Britain or a Communist USA.
Pickle Peky 29 Jul @ 11:46am
Is there any way to delay the D-Day to more historical date? Now they are invading in late 1941
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 29 Jul @ 7:48am
Hmm, might be some edge cases with AI short-term deficit/desire management

Which country anyway?
LiL Snack 29 Jul @ 7:32am
Why do does the ai put 20 mils on trains and 1 on guns
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 29 Jul @ 6:09am
@KJ 17.5M casualties are like nothing if it is spread over a period of time, tbh. The Soviet Union has enough manpower to sustain up to 70M casualties by the end of the 40s.
Elena/Dire 29 Jul @ 4:13am
Brilliant mod. Very pleased with the challenge presented. Playing Germany. On my third run (first two runs I could not break France and Russia attacked me. Finally this run getting toe to toe with a well prepared AI Soviet on historical. Love the increased difficulty.
KJ 28 Jul @ 9:23pm
I caused the Soviets 17.5 million casualties but they still kept coming. Do the ai get any cheats or is this truly what pain feels like?
Cihangir Akkurt 28 Jul @ 1:24am
The ones that has parts that can be improved works fine, like tanks and planes. But the guns, AA etc... are not upgrading. I will try to send the save game.
firestarter_Cx 27 Jul @ 9:39pm
can we one day get the italian AI to stop shuffling its entire army back and forth all the way around the cape of africa?
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 27 Jul @ 9:21pm
@cihangir akkurt please send the savegame to our discord server for investigation, thank you
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 27 Jul @ 9:21pm
@nk There are but only for test purposes at the moment
nk 27 Jul @ 10:44am
is there meant to be a difficulty above normal because if so I cannot see it?
Cihangir Akkurt 27 Jul @ 12:52am
Is there a problem with MIOs? I cannot upgrade my equipment with the each new trait. Even when I have 500 xp it says not enough. and asks for 0

Mishinejtor 26 Jul @ 11:53am
Man, this mod is pure agony to play.. But its too good! I feel like a god while capturing a soviet capital as Germany and reducing its army to 100 divisions! Thank you for doing this kind of mods!
Μάριος (Goy 1) 26 Jul @ 11:14am
"do you spend all your day developing the mod?"
"no"
"are you retarded?"
truly, the most intelligent pony show watcher
Child of the Omnissiah 26 Jul @ 2:33am
Most intelligent pony show watcher, incredible
Exppea 25 Jul @ 11:59pm
are you retarded by any chance
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 6:24pm
Nah, I actually don't have that much time,

nowadays I mostly just fix bugs and stuffs
Exppea 24 Jul @ 6:03pm
do you no life this mod
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:48pm
That said, if you do notice anything out of place, like, the actual phenomenon, rather than just "allies build more factories than you thought you would), do tell

I have previously asked myself how they built so many factories too, and I do want to downsize some eco by up to 10%.
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:18pm
I do think Allies economy is a bit bloated though, and I genuinely don't like it, even though they aren't as rich as they can be yet
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:16pm
Also, to answer one of your other questions,

No, it is not due to "neutral countries conducting a lot of trade with the ai?"

It ultimately doesn't matter whether it is an AI country or not,

but an AI country will ideally never trade with members of faction that it does not belong to while on historical, such that even before joining the Allies, Turkey and Belgium will not trade with Germany.

completely neutral countries such as Switzerland and Sweden don't have trade preferences,

some countries while democratic are actually designed as Axis, such as Czechoslovakia, Norway, Denmark, including Romania (a starting democracy in HoI4)
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:08pm
hmm, for France, trade + factories built by factories gained from trade should be able 60 by mid 40, so easily 1/3 of their economy. if they have 180. Vanilla France without trade coordination, you can only do 120 ish
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:06pm
vanilla France can hit 180 by mid 40 with trade coordination, even if UK has been sucking up trade themselves, since ultimately UK has only so much resource + they might not want to go free trade

France would be able to get a tad more if they spawn Algeria (which some players do) then annex + core it using focus. I can consider doing that, I simply just haven't.
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 4:03pm
For example, as democratic Norway in vanilla, I usually have 90-100 factories by when Germany declares on me, though in this case it is both focus and decision

Pre-buff Raj should get 60 factories by mid 39 then jump to 80-90 by mid 40, and 120 by 1942 before slowing down almost completely

Hmm, that said, yeah, in France's case, their economy may get supported by Swiss Gold as well, which can be toggled on/off at the start. Swiss Gold should worth around 15-20 factories by mid 40 for France, a bit more than that for Germany.
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 3:56pm
UK has around half a civ worth of CIC at the start from licensing, and around 5 more factories from Aden than vanilla India player can give you, and around 13 more factories than India AI can give you. That said, the total eco of UK is actually less than the limit of pure vanilla

Pure vanilla UK can hit about 422 factories in 1940 if no restriction is placed on them, and every active/future Allied member is a player. Even from trading with active/future Allied members alone, pure vanilla UK can hit 280 by the end of 1939.

You not seeing how "it's possible" really just means you haven't seen anything.

France has about 1/10 of a civ worth of CIC at the start from licensing, but nothing else. Them getting high mil count is really just because of the trade.

Allied minors are tbh very easy - just do focus
Sheep of Latrobe [COOK]  [author] 24 Jul @ 3:55pm
Hmm, to answer your original question: there are countries with factories spawned in by the mod, they are Communist China (for Chinese Civil War), China (for Chinese Civil War), North/South Korea (for Korean Civil War), Japan (Post-War factory deletion and respawn), India (if a player, under certain conditions), Brazil and Argentina (if they exchange territories for factories from Uruguay/Paraguay)

USA has more building slots than in pure vanilla for many states, but they do not get any factories. Them getting 150 dockyard is purely within the scope of vanilla. It is a very much standard infra during undisturbed isolation then factories after giant wakes
