Does this mod still work? Looking for a decent diplomacy mod that makes it easier to bargin with the AI, currently offering 100k to a very friendly faction for an alliance but they wont agree!

in my list anyway comes before your mod, and then those of radious (from left to right)

It used to be so probably is, please let me know if it's crashed for you with both!

Would absolutely love to make settlements tradeable, but I don't even know where to start haha. I don't think the basic code is even there any more to make it happen :(

I'm not too sure, if AI factions can do it would seem the player should be able to, but sadly I don't know where that data is :/

I didnt mean that I wanted them to be easier to make client state I meant could you make yourself another factions client state? When your losing a war and you offer peace, instead of gold offer yourself as a client state /satrapy. It would be much better for the diplomacy options.

It would be easy enough to change the attitudes of the AI toward becoming a client state, with options for what is more likely to work (eg a state about to expire could be happy with client status earlier), but I don't mod Rome II any more :S

also, yes, you can just make them satrapies (I think there's a mod for it somewhere)

modding this in should be pretty easy, you just need the 'pack file manager' from twc and to open the AI files for diplomatic values/attitudes etc. you open the data.bar(s) in PFM and expand them until you find 'db' which is where all that kind of data is.

Might even be able to make client states convenient in their own way where the devs failed, not that I know how :p

Would it be possible to make a mod where you can ofer client state status instead of having to demand? Or satrapy. And make it possible to choose between satrapy or client state because I hate client states, their useless compared to satrapies.

damn.. alright well if someone does it will get a lot of dls even if the option is ugly many just want some factions to stfu while we are stomping out others etc would be great to silence them as they get out of hand with their bs offers

It would be easy enough to disable all offers from factions, but adding in a new option of that nature is definitely out of my depth (if even possible)... I'm no magician :P

It would involve creating a new feature in the UI for one, which needs graphics and more in-depth programming to make work than I know. Sorry, dude! Wish I could help :/

Option only to disable offers from an AI within diplomacy. Like option says "ignore faction?" "yes" or "no" that constanlty offers what you don't want. Can still open dialog with them but they can't bother you over and over unless you turn ignore off.

AlluCash, what do you mean exactly by an ignore diplomacy mod - you mean disable all offers from computer players? I think that would probably cause a lot of issues :S

Having give a little more time into the savegame, testing diplomacy, alliances now seem to work again - without the mod

yes, I do have the same problems with the mod uninstalled, on a savegame I created with the mod installed.

But even if these problems don't originate in the mod, nothing the mod should change seems to be different with or without the mod - an update is essential for it to work anyway ^^.

Thanks for the information, it looks like I'm going to have to redo the whole mod :S

It may be a while, or I may be inspired to put in the work sooner rather than later!

I can't tell for sure if it works or not, but there're some things that you could take a look into if you want to - they're related to what this mod already changes :

After a few turns or when ones empire begins to expand other factions are very less likely to make alliances ("defensive" and "military") and after a certain point it also becomes almost impossible to make confederacies - all that even with +150 or more relation, a full power-comparison-bar and 20'000 bucks...

another thing that occurs to me is that proposing other nations to become satraps or clients is impossible unless they're the ones to propose it in the first place (which they only do when you have like 3 full-stack armies surrounding their settlement and they have only the garrison units left... and even then only 1/70 times).

Where is a ignore faction mod for diplomacy?
I am in a long campaign and want to ignore factions that bother me every turn for the same thing like a defensive alliance that I don't want.

This mod ALSO does not work, total war says it's out of date. The mod needs to be updated to be compatible with the latest patch.

Yes, it worked before the patch, so would be most happy for you to update it so I can use it again. Also, could you update your other mods, like the Fisrt Cohort, histrorical Eagle Cohort, as I have used most of your mods and find them really good. Hope you have the time. I would but I have not a clue when it comes to that sort of thing, though I read the info, still non the wiser! Thanks
