@Jelly_Sapinho, the latest tML update causes this crash. Is your copy of the mod at version 1.2.0.6? That update patched the bug, so my guess is that Steam Workshop forgot to update the mod for you.
To get it to update, try un-subscribing and then re-subscribing to the Workshop item. You may also need to go into your mods list in-game and delete the mod before re-subscribing.

For some reason using this mod alongside the Spirit mod causes the Lightspire from that mod to deal stupidly high damage.

Now that I'm looking into it, it's a slightly different issue with recipes that doesn't have anything to do with shimmer transmutations. Regardless, a patch fixing this will be out soon.

@YOLOgamer99166, if you have this mod and Aether's Blessing but not Artificer's Accessories, mods that look at recipes (Which would include Recipe Browser) bug out due to there being some items that are transmuted from unloaded items (That require Artificer's Accessories). It's a bug that must've resurfaced after the 1.2 update. I should be able to fix it relatively easily when I get the time.

Me and a friend were playing with this mod and after the most recent update, it gave an error depicting something with magic storage not being able to load a recipe because of an error in the code.
What might have caused this?

Announcement; a large update for the mod - v1.2 - has just released!
There are tons of new additions, including dozens of additional homage items, 20 new vanity sets, all 40+ Battle Plugs from Mario & Luigi: Brothership plus other homage items from the Mario & Luigi series, and much much more!

I wasn't particularly planning on releasing the update on Christmas Eve but that's how things turned out, so enjoy this Christmas present of sorts (Merry Christmas)!

I'm busy with the holidays, of course, so stayed tuned for updated preview images, official change notes, and updates to the Item Sources List thread!

Also, the pinned discussion on this workshop page 'Item Sources List' tells how to get every item in the mod (Though it's a little hard to read due to Steam's formatting...)

@merlinthenatureboy, yes, many are obtained through crafting; I highly recommend the mod Recipe Browser, which allows you see/search all the crafting recipes in the game (both vanilla and modded).

Just released a patch making all Charge-related badges only load with Artificer's Accessories active. Lemme know if that helps!

@Snaxa~❤, just looked into this, and I think I know what's wrong. Smash Charge is shimmered from Power Smash. Power Smash is implemented as an Ability Accessory, and as such will NOT load into the game if you don't have Artificer's Accessories.
So, I bet if you try running Aether's Blessing and Artificer's Mario Badges WITHOUT Artificer's Accessories, you get problems because Aether's Blessing is trying to make recipes with unloaded items.
If you don't have Artificer's Accessories active, that should be a solution (in theory). That said, I'll make a patch that makes any items that shimmer from Artificer-only items also not load without Artificer's Accessories.

Weirdly seems to conflict with your other mod Aethers blessing. i am currently playing with ALOT of mods so i 100% understand it could potentially be one of them that maybe could cause this however i disabled most of them and tried activating them both and i still got the error. looking at it, it says "ShimmerQoL" added or modified a recipe to be in an invalid state
Reason: an ingredient had a stack size of zero or less
And the problem recipe seems to be Smash charge

@Aigis, as someone who does care about vanilla balance, I have been opposed to the idea of a standalone BP system that stacks with the accessory system, as mentioned in my first response to Admiya.
That said, I also value the concept of player choice; letting the player play how they choose. Alot of people have asked about a BP system, so I'll consider looking into it at this point.
Fargo's Paper Mario mod already has a BP system, so my preference would be to introduce support for Fargo's mod and allow this mod's badges to go in the Fargo BP slots.
I'm not sure how/if that is possible though, AFAIK Fargo's mod has no associated Calls for such functionality, and to all intents and purposes it appears (judging by update frequency) Fargo hasn't touched the mod in months, so I'm doubtful if it will even receive any further development.
In the meantime, you could use mods which grant extra slots for free (Cheat Sheet, etc.) and use those as mock BP slots.

this is an amazing mod. however an optional bp system would make it much better. the challenge of them taking up accesory slots and having to sacrifice good armor for more is a good idea to help balence it, but as someone who doesent care about balance and wanted to have fun with my funny paper merio badges i was a bit dissapointed. but other than that this is a great mod.

@Admiya, have you tried out the special set bonuses added by this mod? If you equip the Plumber's Set (the vanity set) or any of its variants (added by this mod) in the ARMOR slots instead of vanity, you'll get a bunch of extra accessory slots that only badges can go in. This'll offer a unique challenge in which you sacrifice conventional armor for those extra badge slots that'll let you make powerful builds with badges.

It's pretty interesting still, just gets kinda difficult to find a slot for said accesories at times, specially when playing with a bunch of mods. Do you think it could be possible to maybe add an optional addon to convert them to the Fargo BP system? That was people that don't really mind balance too much can get it and experiment, but those that prefer balance can use the base version here

@Adamiya, yeah I intentionally went with making badges accessories instead of giving them their own BP system since Fargo had already done the latter, and also to make this mod more coherent with vanilla balancing by reworking badges into the accessory system (As opposed to them having their own system, which effectively just gives players more power for free).

@Man 3 and Knuckles, this mod is just focused on adding content (Namely Badges, all of which are already present) from Paper Mario and TYD, so Wario stuff is out-of-scope here (Excluding the W Emblem).

This mod is Amazing! If I may make 1 suggestion, please add a Wario Shoulder bash accessory, that would function as an upgraded shield of Cthulhu. That would make this mod an 11 out of 10

v1.1 is now out, including Gold Medal from TYD 2024 and 19 brand new badges based on unobtainable/unimplemented badges!

Alright, Gold Medal is officially coming soon (tm) to the mod.
I double-checked the wiki to make sure I wasn't missing any other badges. When doing so, I discovered there are some unimplemented badges and have decided to implement 19 of them.

Hence the Gold Medal update will take a bit longer, but it'll also have 19 badges which have (basically) never been seen before!

Whenever you find a need to update the version of certain mod(s) in a modpack, AFAIK your only choice is to just create a new modpack with the same mods (w/ the updated versions).

@Potato.tech , ah yeah that would explain it; older versions of Artificer didn't support cross-mod.
And yes, modpacks intentionally freeze the version of the respective mods they're using (Even if an updated version is downloaded, which tML typically does automatically).
To my knowledge the reason that is done is in order to avoid your modpack breaking if one of the mods inside updates and - due to its update - becomes incompatible with another mod(s) in the pack or the current tML version you're running. Ironically, it appears this very system caused you the issue that it was trying to prevent...

hey, we found the issue. the modpack my friend was using wasnt allowing their stuff to update for some reason. turns out, they were using an outdated version of the artificer mod, which was breaking the badge mod. again, im sorry for wasting your time

i mentioned that the triple gauge also had an issue triggering, even after we got it to 100% . still, i think the issue might be the fact that they were hosting and using an outdated version of the mod

sadly, i cant test at this moment since they just went to bed
