There are a few bonus maps that use Halfquake Sunrise assets.

Also, The remaster for Halfquake Sunrise is currently in development so there may be some extra files that placed there for the future in my attempt to fix the maps that are publicly available

quick question, are there any HQ sunrise assets currently present in this? Asking coz I might try messing around in Hammer with said assets (though HQA also looks promising)

Changed the title to Remastered for legal reasons. I'm sure Muddasheep would care less if it was called Halfquake: Source but I am uncertain VALVE wouldn't mind. So The rename is a safety precaution

hi bro, nice job. What gamemod do you recomend to play it with? I'm kinda noob in this gmod stuff, but I think a sandbox mode doesn't fit this enough

Here's a trick you can do only in Garry's Mod. Try running and jumping through the spikes before they activate. Make sure you do it straight in the center point of the spike area.

If you're not sure you would make it, then crouch while in mid-air. So that way the ground won't stop you if you're not fast enough to completely evade the spikes.





If that doesn't work, then have someone else activate the spikes. You won't be the one dying.

It's possible. You will need to not press the button, press the lever to open the door, and crawl under the spikes.

Unless you got addons messing with you, that is how you do it without dying.

On the 10th map, it is virtually impossible to go past the spike section without dying, even if you follow the associated walkthrough video. So much for destroying my sanity and almost make me smash my laptop.

@TheBillinator3000 I know, I am just letting other players know. For me, while I have Weapon STAR that would give me my custom loadout of SWEPs at the click of a button, I have yet to have any addons that give me one upon spawning, due to my feeling of them conflicting with Weapon STAR. As such, I have the invisibility noclip addon, so that the enemies cannot see me while I give myself a loadout whilist in noclip.

This is a faithful port of Halfquake. This means the maps weren't designed for players to go straight to them instead of playing through the campaign as normal. Therefore, you get death.

Did you play The Halfquake Trilogy? the '>)' is merely a logo for the facility the mods take place in. I can not say anymore due to spoilers. Yes, 'mods'. The Halfquake Trilogy is a collection of mods combined into one thing.

I'm still not getting what's so funny about that ">)" on doors. Yeah I understand it's meme-funny level, maybe local enough, but it's used on Lily McFluffyButt's maps as well... what's so special? Is it just so symbolic?

When you directly load into certain maps, once you spawn, you won't have any weapons (unless you checked off "Give Weapons Upon Spawning" or you have an addon that gives you weapons upon spawning) upon spawning, and you would instantly be at risk of being killed right away by the spawn-camping enemies, leaving almost no chance for hiding away from their sights via noclip. Just giving you a heads up.
