I really love the mod!
I do want to ask, why have the locations of most of the trade centers changed?
2V^|Dz1adek 21 Feb @ 7:11am
Could you add Eastern Rome as Byzantion formable with Roman culture?
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 12 Feb @ 3:51pm
@Ovix Do you have Invictus enabled? This is a submod for Invictus, and requires it to be enabled in order to work. If you are crashing with Invictus enabled, unsubscribe and resubscribe to both this mod and Invictus.

If you are still crashing after doing those steps, let me know.
Ovix 11 Feb @ 2:27pm
It's crashing for me without any other mods installed, for some reason. It's been doing this before the 1/29 update for me
RUSKINIK 10 Feb @ 1:20pm
@Xx_FlashBlaster_xX above brave new world?
Xx_FlashBlaster_xX 9 Feb @ 6:24am
Still crashes, Invictus is above brave new world

i've tried on both the new patch and the non beta patch, and i only have those two enabled
RUSKINIK 7 Feb @ 9:46am
@Shinymewtwo99 yes, those mods have more countries. for example, England and some others are missing here... I miss them. But those mods you mentioned have a lot of problems. they break during the game. they crash and it is impossible to play. maybe because they have not been updated for a long time. I will try your mod, I hope the game will be long!! thank you!
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 6 Feb @ 6:58pm
@RUSKINIK You're welcome, we're happy you like the mod! We've only added nations to the mod since we released it back in June, and haven't removed any.

You might be thinking of the Rise of Empires mods made by G-Man, IronWolfGaming101, and axossk, and compared to those amazing mods (which are linked in the description if you'd like to try them out), we have fewer starting nations to create an equal distribution of countries and colonizable land around the map.
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 6 Feb @ 6:41pm
@Coruja Chamuscada In your playset, do you have Brave New World underneath Invictus in the launcher? As a sub-mod to Invictus, Brave New World has to be loaded second, otherwise it'll crash
RUSKINIK 6 Feb @ 9:23am
thank you!:steamhappy: the mod works. but the question is: why is the number of nations less than in previous versions of the mod? some nations are missing...:steamsad:
Coruja Chamuscada 6 Feb @ 8:29am
@Shinymewtwo99 I've been having the same problem. I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing, but it's still crashing as soon as I try to start a new game, before I get to select a country
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 1 Feb @ 9:46pm
@Xx_FlashBlaster_xX Try unsubscribing and re-subscribing to both Brave New World and Invictus. Sometimes Steam doesn't update workshop files correctly, so re-subscribing'll usually fix it. If that doesn't fix it, let me know
Xx_FlashBlaster_xX 1 Feb @ 12:58pm
crashes when i go to new game. Both updated
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 29 Jan @ 9:33am
The mod has now been updated to support Invictus 1.9 'Thales'
nickdc1987 24 Jan @ 2:35am
Really looking forward to this being compatible with invictus 1.9. Tried rolling back to 1.8 and failed, so I just have to wait!
RUSKINIK 16 Jan @ 9:01am
when I launch the mod the game crashes((
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 15 Jan @ 11:06am
Indeed, we haven't updated the mod with Invictus 1.9 yet. You'll need to roll back to Invictus 1.8 until we update the mod.
shoobers 14 Jan @ 12:59pm
It might not be compatible with invictis 1.9.
Sparabed 13 Jan @ 10:51am
Hey cool mod but it crashes when I try to load it up (I have it second after Invictus in the load order)
a pigeon 8 Oct, 2024 @ 3:15am
pretty cool concept, love to play more
SeemsLegit 16166 5 Oct, 2024 @ 10:25pm
dose this work with latest patch or do i need to roll back
Creatively Inept 23 Sep, 2024 @ 8:28am
Would it be possible to let Heraclea Pontica switch to Persian culture?
Currently in their starting event they only get to switch religions.
IronWolfGaming101 13 Sep, 2024 @ 11:59pm
Do you think it is possible to tone it down enough where it can still work out those flaws?
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 12 Sep, 2024 @ 6:55pm
@IronWolfGaming101 In the current balance the mod has, the player can out-colonize AI countries by using migration, and as the campaign progresses, the AI will struggle to keep up as it has difficulty converting pops and frequently has civil wars spawn. If we tune down the AI bonuses, I don't think the AI would be able to compete against the player in the long-term
IronWolfGaming101 4 Sep, 2024 @ 3:03am
It would be nice if you could lower it because it feels unfair, especially since the AI has the antagonist modifer
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 3 Sep, 2024 @ 4:36pm
@El Thank you, we're glad you like the mod! The AI was given some strong bonuses/cheats for colonization, since otherwise it wouldn't be able to colonize at all.
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 3 Sep, 2024 @ 4:34pm
@TacticalMeat You need to run the mod alongside Imperator:Invictus, with Brave New World second in the load order.
TacticalMeat 25 Aug, 2024 @ 12:25pm
just crashes, no other mods being used
El 18 Aug, 2024 @ 11:02pm
Great mod! Just curious though, why can the AI colonize much much faster than me? I can just start my second settlement, then suddenly the AI has like 5+ already
Phil Scott 25 Jul, 2024 @ 10:54pm
I see Sicily dominate many games. Greece gets united very fast, too.
Carhd 25 Jul, 2024 @ 5:41pm
Mission trees add flavour so the nations aren't just boring. Rome and maybe other nations receives unique events which gives it bonuses. The spartan mission tree allows me to form a couple of greek client states after unifying all Greek areas. which is what i wanted to do instead of blobbing. While i could just release a bunch of client states, i would rather do it through the tree.I think the italic mission tree are a bit strong
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 24 Jul, 2024 @ 4:17am
@Carhd Thank you for pointing that out, it looks like we missed a couple of the vanilla mission trees, they will be patched out in an upcoming patch.
Carhd 23 Jul, 2024 @ 4:11pm
except rome
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 23 Jul, 2024 @ 3:31pm
@Carhd All nation-specific missions were disabled because they weren't designed to work for Brave New World's setup, leaving most trees a broken state, and because nation-specific trees would give certain nations very powerful bonuses compared to nations without them, making the mod less of a sandbox.
Carhd 23 Jul, 2024 @ 9:39am
I only have the base mission tree without any flavour. Sparta should have there own custom tree which was added with the base game, But instead its mission tree was replace with defualt greek culture mission tree
IronWolfGaming101 18 Jul, 2024 @ 5:57am
Try refreshing the mod list in the launcher. It recaches the mods so they can update. This might help. If not, validate the integrity of your game in the Properties in your Steam game.
Carhd 16 Jul, 2024 @ 9:44pm
I don't have the spartan mission tree, Could you please re add it to sparta.
Carhd 16 Jul, 2024 @ 5:44pm
does Sparta get its mission trees once it becomes a monarchy?
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 12 Jul, 2024 @ 8:09am
Brave New World has been updated to work with the new Invictus 1.8 update, but the mod should still be compatible with older savegames, allowing you to finish your campaigns.
IronWolfGaming101 2 Jul, 2024 @ 3:00am
Invictus had a major update, basically expanded the map.
Phil Scott 1 Jul, 2024 @ 10:06pm
Will adjust starting centralization on my end and see how that affects the game. I'm seeing tribes conquer eachother pretty fast. Think they should break up into other tribes if their centralization is too low.
Melting 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:30pm
my fault in fact for not reading the whole info screen lol
Melting 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:30pm
@shiny ohh i didnt realize it needed invictus with it. ty
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:13pm
@Melting Imperator:Invictus recently had a major update, until we create a compatibility patch, you will need to use the older version of Invictus
Melting 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:05pm
to clarify, it's as soon as i select new game
Melting 1 Jul, 2024 @ 9:03pm
trying to use this mod by itself but just getting crashing for some reason. is this happening on your end too @Shinymewtwo99?
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 8:57pm
@Phil Scotty Indeed, starting centralization can be edited in setup\main\00_default.txt, where centralization = x can be added underneath each tag. It's also possible to modify the startup event (in events\bnw_startup_events.txt) to give each country negative centralization so that you wouldn't need to manually adjust each country's centralization
Phil Scott 1 Jul, 2024 @ 8:26pm
Is it possible in the history files to start countries at negative centralization?
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 7:59pm
@Carhd In the upcoming compatibility update for Invictus 1.8 I'll add a Frankish formable
Shinymewtwo99  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 7:56pm
@IronWolfGaming101 I think encouraging the AI to migrate more often would be a good feature to have, but unfortunately there's no feasible way to do this, since most of the AI logic around when and where to migrate is hardcoded.

@Phil Scotty At least in out test-runs, the AI expands and centralizes at a rate on-par with the player, and usually there are still open spaces to migrate to by 500 AUC. If the AI were to expand/centralize any slower, then a player could easily out-pace it, leaving little challenge.
