Thank you so much for the kind words! Your video is fully intended. It really warms my heart to know that there are people who enjoy my puzzles that much <3

Excellent work!! Your puzzles always surprise me and give me a lot of inspiration. It didn't take me too much time, but everything was really enjoyable. My favorite part was you lock one cube with the funnel while you can get the another cube That was so sweet.Big thumbs up and faved!Seems there's a big man behind The Why Not Science.:steammocking:

Thanks both for playing! @NNO I am very glad you appreciated the old school atmosphere, quite a significant amount of time was put into making it feel that way :D

I really liked that; it's probably my favorite out of the maps I've played so far in the competition in terms of combination of a really genuine-feeling old-school style with some clever moves. I loved the stairs for aesthetic purposes and the classic "side quests to get the cubes, then the real meat of the puzzle" format. Getting the cube to the exit door button, then realizing I needed to have retrieved the other cube to activate the stairs, was a cool moment, and the move to get that other cube was fun. Thumbs up!

Thanks for playing everyone! @Bread bug, @Hovering Harry, that is indeed a very sneaky bypass, unfortunately the submission deadline has passed so I cannot update the map until the results, will patch when that happens :) @Miami Mike, @ELYTRON thank you both for the kind words!

Wow, that still requires some pretty quick reaction time and reflexes :p2turret: favorited anyway because it's awesome
Miami Mike 4 Jul, 2024 @ 4:30pm
Tricky! It took me a long time to get it and even though I solved it I'll probably have a rough time doing it again.

Very interesting puzzle, though the way I solved it was definitely unintended lol. I basically got one cube on the other side of the emancipating grill that can be turned off, making sure to turn it back on once the cube was on the other side. Then I put a portal on the funnel, and another on the floor next to the cube. Then I just held the cube through the portal on the floor while walking towards the emancipation grill. Once my portals dissipated, the cube was on the other side being held up by the funnel. Then I just placed the portals where they needed to go and the door was open lol. Probably counts as a glitch or exploit but I honestly had no clue what the faith plates were for until I watched your solution :P

Cool map a bit tricky. :steamhappy:
Dolphiner  [author] 28 Jun, 2024 @ 2:08pm
@bullfrog I am aware of that alternative and don't really think it detracts from the map too much, You still have to use the fizzler button which was my main concern, and acquiring both the cubes isn't particularly meaty to begin with so I'm not worried about enforcing a strict way to do it. I'm glad you liked it! :D

Great puzzle and ditto @Narkodes comment  I watched your video and found that I did it by a slightly different method, but I think the way I did it may be less efficient, as opposed to unintended ?
Dolphiner  [author] 26 Jun, 2024 @ 6:04am
@Narkodes Thank you :D
Narkodes 26 Jun, 2024 @ 4:33am
Didn't take me too long, but the move Mattchew mentioned got me for a moment. Really enjoyed the pupose of the faith plates in this map. Big thumbs up! :yoku2:

@Mattchew Thanks for playing, I'm really glad you like :D
Mattchew 25 Jun, 2024 @ 10:37pm
I really enjoyed this one, love the faith plate and funnel combo here. the timed move to get the cube off the button is so cool, my personal favorite bit. Would love to see this one get hammerized or get a beemod version like you said. Really cool!
Dolphiner  [author] 25 Jun, 2024 @ 2:31am
Thank you both! @E L Y T R O N I'm glad you like the deco :D
Re0 25 Jun, 2024 @ 1:57am
huh, I fully agree with your statement: In a sense, Science is never about why, but about why not.
E L Y T R O N 24 Jun, 2024 @ 11:19pm
Not even close to solving it yet, but I just came to say that the stairs on the ceiling as decoration is a nice touch, haha!
Dolphiner  [author] 24 Jun, 2024 @ 10:07am
@klaus.sfc01 Probably will be a submission yea, I don't see myself thinking of anything better.
