Can you acquire ore in this mod? To my knowledge, tiles cannot be broken in adventure mode, so I don't have my hopes up. If it is possible to implement, this is my suggestion.

how does one make/bind a book? i know i need a Quire or something but don't know what that is or what i use to make it. i know that i need a knives and i have that but don't know what else.

I cant seem to tan skin, I would guess there is some kind of conflict with the mod that increases the yield for skin but I'm not sure how that would prevent the tanning reaction from working.

I have a question what the interaction for breaking down items mean by mallet? Does a hammer count or is that a separate tool? If so, how would you acquire one in adventure mode

Boozemaking would be neat too since water tends to freeze (Plenty of booze ingredients in warehouses though)

Would love to be able to make an instrument. Too many times I try to start a bard and spawn with an instrument that none of the known musical forms use.

The problem with gauntlets is that it would require DFHack to function. I didn't want to make dependency on 3rd party tool, but it can be done as a separate module easily.

The mod still seems to work very nicely, but it could do with an update adding the ability to craft gauntlets if possible, and maybe some of the newer items introduced in the adventure mode beta once that moves to the stable branch.

Yeah, I am quite upset that the gauntlet fix is not in vanilla.

@DietCock: This is a mod for crafting reactions only, it shouldn't affect interactions with undead. Are you sure you dont have another mod that could affect that?

I've been playing a while in adventure mode and I was like "oh yeh... here is my upgrade of armor tier..." but... Where are the damm gaunlets T-T I feel my arms vulnerable:lunar2019piginablanket:

Hi, i've noticed a bug. You don't have an option to "raise dead" as an adventure mod necromancer in the interaction/abilities menu. This is sad because once you've became immortal you can't raise dead. Or maybe you can, but idk how

oh, though, maybe you could create armor that's non-side specific that straps to the arms that also covers the hands? no clue how feasible that'd be, but maybe that's something.

@Dogma there's a quirk of the reactions I believe! something about how it would only be able to make gloves without being 'left' or 'right' gloves? Honestly hope it can be figured out myself, there's almost everything except gauntlets and it's soooo close to being amazing for an 'ironman' run.


otherwise, the mod is great! having a blast with the options put up so far!

weird and maybe impossible request but could you stop there from being Masterwork chunks? Having chunks with qualities doesn't improve anything and causes all kinds of annoying things, especially looking through Legends mode.

Excellent mod. One suggestion: could you have a breakdown metal mask reaction? I've encountered a bunch of goblins, and the only metal they have is masks, which I can't break down.

Getting picks in would be good. I've seen some progress with modding digging into the beta, and just as well that picks are pretty good weapons.

@En. Gerger Racc More likely I didnt include them since digging isn't a thing. I can add a reaction for that.

@Barry_Bee For woodcrafting, I went with a choice of using "planks", an intermediate product you must produce either from:
1) Grabbing a branch from a tree and carving it with anything sharp into plank in BASIC category.
2) Getting a log and splitting it with anything sharp in 4 planks in BASIC category.

Hi! I'm struggling a little bit with getting wood crafting to work. I cut down a tree and have the logs in my inventory and on the ground, but when I go to carve a wooden figure, it keeps saying I have no available item. Is there a step I'm missing? Thanks for anyone who can help!

Since both mods do the same, pick your poison. Choose the one that has the most features that you like I'd say. We are not competing, we are just having fun adding new options to the game :).

Ah, so it's a weird issue with reactions. Makes sense, wish you the best of luck in that. Still, being able to make any armour at all for tiny lil bug people is very, very useful.

The issue is with inability to craft left/right gloves since it's a problem with vanilla reactions. They produce gloves without left/right token, I plan to look into DFHack scripts that fix it, but I didn't want to make the mod reliant on DFHack yet.

@JJ5x5 I don't think submenus are possible (menu in menu), but I can consider extra categories, let me sleep on it.

Pretty sick mod overall. Makes playing as a non-standard-sized animal person way more viable. Big issue I've noticed, however, is a distinct lack of options for armouring up lower arms/hands. This has resulted in *many* lower arms/hands being sliced off in previous attempts. Are there any plans for this going forward and/or other mods that might help me with this?

A much needed mod and thank you for this!

Just want to throw in my 5 cents for this in turn;

- Can we have sub-menus for some of the clothing based crafting? Like Leatherworking > Upperwear > "X/Y here" to help declutter rather than opening up Leatherworking and boom *everything* is there currently.

- Noticed some attire is unable to be crafted, specifically gloves, mittens, and some upperwear from leather like hoods, shirts, tunics, etc. (gauntlets from smithing is missing too, I'm scared a crab will pinch one of my nerves into oblivion)

Unless you try some DFHack magic about inserting reactions (I havent tested it myself), in original game you have to generate a new world (and don't forget to load the mod before generating the world).

If you put "DF Hack" into steam store you will see that DF Hack has moved to being a downloadable item on Steam. It is free.

You can switch to the adventure mode beta in DFHack's steam properties, and most of the functionality seems to be working as normal atleast as a player. So that's a yes!
