Silly questions: did you save the file? And if so, did you copy the mod to local storage beforehand?
If it's not one of those, you shouldn't be having any issue to my knowledge.

I tried it but I did not notice any increase in damage, can you take a look into the file to see the exact line where I would need to change?
I changed all Afflictions gunshotwound values, but as I said I did not notice any increase in damage

Oh, that would be easy. You'd want to take a notepad app and open the associated items file
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\602960\3279677991\OTFX\Items\Weapons\minigun.xml)

Personally I recommend Notepad++ for this.

From there, you can either find the afflictions stats for the item, or you can use Ctrl + F, and filter search the document for 'affliction'. From there, you can change the afflictions dealt by the bullets.

I love how it looks and essentially functions like a handheld chaingun, even having the same iconic barrel, fits right into the barotrauma style

How would I rework the animation based on the condition of the minigun, because I wanna use that for a different mechanic? Could I drop it and maybe have the animations play on interval with delay when the trigger is held?

@Havel L. Krik The official team has fixed this in unstable version, it should be fixed in the next game update.

@Big Chungus The animation of the minigun plays based on its condition changes, but in MP, the client cannot simulate this process, so the smoothness of its animation depends on the server's tickrate.

Awesome mod! Just a question though, the animation of the spinnning barrels on the worshop page looks very smooth but is a bit jagged (like the animation is low fps) in my game, any idea why?

So I was looking at how the two different battery cells drain when using the minigun and I was wondering if they could drain faster.

For an explanation, after depleting a full minigun ammunition box, regular battery cells drained down to 73% and 86% for fulgurium.

I was thinking that for regular battery cells, it would take two cells to empty one ammunition box, while on the other hand, fulgurium battery cells can empty an ammunituon box on one charge.

Now this would be a nerf to the weapons performance, but this is just an idea I thought of.

Submarine weapon ammo is not available. I designed a separate ammo type for it, which you can purchase at military outpost or craft using fabricator.

Oh, this is out of your control? Ok then, nothing else to report. But I have one request, could you replace the spin-up noise with the chaingun spin-up should. Someone in my group was using the Exosuit with this weapon and the noise was deafening.

I have tested something and it's a good choice that will not break the game balance. Commando talent, bandolier, battle ready, implacable buff and so on will greatly increase its damage, firing rate and accuracy to the point where it becomes very op.

This is a bit nit-picky, but miniguns don't have a windup and tend to be very accurate.

update v1.0.1:
1. Improved the firing mechanism, when you hold the trigger, the barrels will spin for at least 0.2 seconds to prevent it from winding down instantly which makes you not really difficult to fire again.
2. Adjust ammunition capacity from 200 to 300 rounds but double the required materials for fabrication.
3. Increased power consumption for spinning
4. Fixed the minigun uses the battery cell of a flashlight for power.
