Description
A powerful multiple-barrel weapon. Though somewhat unwieldy and slow to wind up to its firing state, its capability to deliver a hail of high-velocity metal at any would-be foe is unparalleled.

Due to the complex attack mechanism, it's a little difficult to calculate the damage it exactly inflicts. The affliction strength is based on how many walls/doors/blocks it pierces and the max health they have. Structure damage and item damage range from 1 to 4, limb damage ranges from 3 to 12. A single bullet is sufficient to pierce 3x75Hp Wall or 2x100Hp Wall or 2x100Hp Door. Each ammo box contains 300 rounds, and fire rate is approximately 600 rounds/min.

Silly questions: did you save the file? And if so, did you copy the mod to local storage beforehand?
If it's not one of those, you shouldn't be having any issue to my knowledge.

I tried it but I did not notice any increase in damage, can you take a look into the file to see the exact line where I would need to change?
I changed all Afflictions gunshotwound values, but as I said I did not notice any increase in damage

Oh, that would be easy. You'd want to take a notepad app and open the associated items file
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\602960\3279677991\OTFX\Items\Weapons\minigun.xml)

Personally I recommend Notepad++ for this.

From there, you can either find the afflictions stats for the item, or you can use Ctrl + F, and filter search the document for 'affliction'. From there, you can change the afflictions dealt by the bullets.

I love how it looks and essentially functions like a handheld chaingun, even having the same iconic barrel, fits right into the barotrauma style

Ehh, seems like the easiest way is to just make the ammo box regenerate and drop the battery requirement. Nvm, thanks anyway

I'm basically gonna make it a laser minigun that heats up when firing and needs to cool down after a while.

How would I rework the animation based on the condition of the minigun, because I wanna use that for a different mechanic? Could I drop it and maybe have the animations play on interval with delay when the trigger is held?
