Hey, That is a great mod, do you think you could tell me how you modded the game so they behave like ranged units, with their visible range, and right clicks so you can make a range attack instead of directly attacking in melee? I would like to see if I can apply this to other units from other factions that have range attacks but don't behave like the legions do in your mod

@RobertDeHales Ancient Greeks are simply amazing! I really like their history and culture which is still so relevant to us today. Quite surprising, it seems no one ever wrote a book about the decline of Ancient Greece.

Ahah, alright. I was of a fan of Roman units, but I'm leaning more for the Greek units with all the spectacular reskinnings mods out there and rich history of the Greeks.

@RobertDeHales, No, the Greek precursors are unchanged. I just wanted to make the Roman legion a bit more special and flexible in my mods

Hi Prohan, i'm using just Romans fire at will mod. It's awsome and it works with all the DLCs i have.

@Stone Sergeant Hi, sorry to keep you waiting for so long, could you tell me what mod you installed. Sadly, I don't have all the DLCs, I am guessing that your DLC might have already enabled fire at will for romans? OR maybe you can try ticking the "enable outdated mod" when you start the mod manager

@WarriorBee Hello Warrior Bee! You can probably check my other mod, called roman pilum, in that mod, you can let the roman legion fire a heavy shot, a heavy pilum, that gives a hit enemy unit melee defence penalty. I am not sure how to lower their shield stat yet, so this is what I can do now to simulate that.

If you really want Roman pilums to do what they are intended to do... give it a shield debuff for melee because well... thats what it was made for.

What about just increasing damage of pilum and javelin and make it compatable with DEI:). I'm too lazy to do it but its badly needed in DEI. 120 javelins are throen and only 1 oathsworn dies!! its a bit weakish to me:)

yea all units will fire at will in vinilla as of patch15 as soon as enemies enter range javs will fly

I don't think so, i only play with unit mods, I think one probably includes it then I had it since the day of patch 15.

@Stannis the Mannis you mean in vanila they can already fire at will? I think probably because you are using another mod that includes this, to make them fire at will is now quite easy to do with emperor edition, so a lot of people may have a mod that includes it.

@jdlikins I tried it in game, if the legion is in fire at will mode, each soldier would carry a pilum, if you set them to melee mode, then they will have a sword in hand.
