did you set texture settings to High/Very High?
does this happen in the middle of the game? or from the beginning?
Try this:
- Make sure BF2042 Color Scheme doesn't conflict with other mods.
- Make sure the autoexec.cfg file is installed correctly (this file is in the description link, complete with font files).
- Finally, move all BF2042 mod files out of the ../workshop folder.
from -> ../addons/workshop
to -> ../addons
hope this helps, tell me if there are still problem
I'm also currently developing MUI-3 / Blue Archive from someone's request.
but making a HUD from Delta Force or Battlefield 6 sounds cool
I also have a HUD mod idea I was sketching out in Photoshop based on Delta Force and Battlefield 6, just thought I could share it with you.
I'm doing it with full effort for UI details, but sorry it also takes extra time and may need to wait a little longer.
stay on me, follow my workshop for updates or new UI mod releases from me, like and rate if you like it :3
this mod has some defects like visual
I don't know the exact cause, after the last major update v1.3.0 I tried resource optimization again and again and the problem still exists
for now and maybe forever, I also don't suggest using this mod MUI001 for daily use, but if you want to have fun do it.
it's not a problem with your user or device, it's just that this mod takes too much resources, you can say it's a failed project
Here it is Blue Archive | MUI003 mod, the one you guys are waiting for
Coming soon ><
some screenshot test games...
1. Screenshot1 (Tank: feel the pain) [ibb.co.com]
2. Screenshot2 [ibb.co.com]
3. Screenshot3 [ibb.co.com]
note: test results, appearance may change after release
1.unpack BF2042 UI mod by drag and drop (hold click on root folder on left side of menu) using GCFScape, drop unpack on outside desktop
2. open the BF2042 UI unpack folder as you see there, delete one folder called “sound”
3. now repack again, open VPKEdit in the menu above select the “File” menu then “Create VPK From Folder...”
4. a new window will appear, select VPK version “v1”
DO NOT FORGET to checkmark “Save to single file”
5. find, and point to the BF2042 UI unpack folder that was changed earlier, then click “Select Folder”
6. Save the modified file in the location you want, done. now you can use it with your version.
don't forget to turn off the original BF2042 UI version to avoid conflicts
let me know if you need anything else :3
prepare these tools:
1. GCFScape [web.archive.org]
2. VPKEdit [github.com]
Just wondering — is it possible to get a version that only changes the UI (fonts, HUD, menus) but keeps the original music and background? Would love that!
Thanks 🙏
just boxes instead of texts in game
but I will try later
- Fix transparent icons on some 3rd mods that still use the old version of TextureData
don't forget to move all bf2042 mods
"/addons/workshop"
to
"/addons"
make sure the autoexec.cfg file is installed correctly
or open then click the install button on the top left

for the problem, and my deepest apologies the minus part in HUDWeaponSelection:
1. M60 Main bullet counter
main bullet in this section, there is no way to adjust this element at this time I tried to find a way but it didn't work.
2. gun icon and bullet counter
there is no way to modify this part only the icon size and font, there is no way to move the position so I took the step of removing the gun icon but the user can still see the number of bullets left, later I will list this problem in the description
3. The vocalizer screen blocks a huge portion of the screen
I don't know what you mean maybe hud radial menu? This radial menu I designed similar to the original game 8 squares and transparent, I think this is not too much of a problem for users
Or can you share your screenshot of the radial menu blocking? Or also you can modify this mod, delete the file
"/resource/ui/radialmenu.res"
1. Ammo count for the M60 will be bugged if you use a script that gives it reserve ammo, active ammo count sits at 000 all the time while reserve ammo is displayed correctly.
2. Pistols don't have their own dedicated icon slot and ammo display, instead they're being put under the primary weapon icon. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but i think it should be fixed.
3. The vocalizer screen blocks a huge portion of the screen, which hinders your view when you use it. On this end, i think a traditional vocalizer layout with BF2042 fonts will do much better instead of this custom stuff.
Or you can break the custom vocalizer out and make it a separate function, like the transition screen and survivor/weapon icons. That'll be more convenient for those who wanna keep it.
info:
- BF2042 Aqua
- BF2042 CyberPunk
info:
- Improved multi color scheme support
- Added separate healthbar on Teammate HUD
While it's a shame it can't be used for extended periods, this doesn't change the fact that it's an absolutely brilliant HUD. It faithfully recreates most of the game's interface, and even if I can only use it occasionally, it never fails to impress me each time. Thank you for creating so many amazing mods for Left 4 Dead 2. I'm really looking forward to your future works! Best of luck, and keep up the great work!
so I don't recommend using this mod as a daily because of this issue but if you want to just have fun then play it, I also released BF2042 HUD Only in my workshop maybe this can reduce the visual crash problem or is it the same?
for the problem of text corruption or visual hud crashes at the moment I don't know exactly what causes it I tried to make the hud look almost similar to the original game and a bit detailed, but I think it's because this mod has too many HUD elements rendered or takes up memory space or something? so I think it's because the L4D2 engine can't handle it I don't know for sure.
I've also tried optimizing it seems like the problem is still the same.
but from my test results, this mod crashes not long 4-7 when playing on a server with a custom map I remember the sector-17 map which seems to take up a lot of resources and the hud is very messy.
but not for normal server
However, the pistol pattern and the number of bullets are still not displayed.
don't forget to make sure the autoexec.cfg file is correct, let me know if there are still problems
I tried to move it to the addons folder, but it still couldn't be displayed.
