looks like something in the latest big update broke this, I get a huge error readout on a new game saying it cant find the blueprint etc.
andrewschaefer1237 20 Jan @ 6:39pm
is this safe to add to an existing save?
AussieWarGod 17 Dec, 2024 @ 8:22pm
With the new method of implementation it could probably be changed to work with sphynx salt, but it would definitely increase the likelihood of issues.
AussieWarGod 17 Dec, 2024 @ 8:21pm
@Grub, yes, but it's not designed to be used that way. Afaik it specifically prevents the tonics from working to avoid unintended side effects from loading/unloading.

I might be wrong, but I can't use the tonic with sphynx salt injectors for precog. Is this intented or a bug? I was under the assumption that while under the tonic you are true kin for 10 turns.

even if it is, it looks cool

Thanks to AussieWarGod's help, this should now for for any type of creature, bodyswapped, metal door, fulcretewall, etc...
AussieWarGod 18 Oct, 2024 @ 6:48pm
ok so if i add:

if (_GameObject.genotypeEntry == null)
{
Popup.Show("This creature has no genotype.");
}

I get a popup with "This creature has no genotype" and the tonic is used

If i modify it to apply a genotype i get the error that genotype is read only. i'll see if i can figure a way around that. i've added you so i can message you as these comments are pretty limiting
AussieWarGod 18 Oct, 2024 @ 6:36pm
This is the error the log spits out, i'll see if i can fix it. I have a feeling it might be because the Genotype is null, so you might need to add edge case handling for this that adds a genotype for non-conforming bodies?

Yea, this doesn't work on non-standard bodies or body swaps. I also haven't found the tonic in game at all in a decently long run, i ended up tinkering it after getting the recipe from the research mod.
Sequel gobbert 12 Oct, 2024 @ 1:50pm
Appears not to work when not playing your main body post-swap or as a nonstandard creature. Started a run with the crungle mode mod as a goat and the injector is having the same issues described below.
KafkaExMachina 28 Sep, 2024 @ 5:03am
FYI - the Sifrah modder was hired as a coder for the game, and as such it (and other mods by the dev) has any code elements in the base code of the game. That means that all mods that allow Mutants to access cyberware run the risk of Cybernetic Rejection Syndrome... which is also bugged.
Citrusguy 11 Aug, 2024 @ 3:33am
I did body swap to an Apple Farmers Daughter, if that matters?
Citrusguy 11 Aug, 2024 @ 3:27am
For some reason I get the tonic ingestion message "Your body forcefully conforms to order...etc" but the tonic isn't actually used up and I am unable to use the nook.
With precog enabled the tonic gets used up but there is no effect. I have some other mods, not sure what is going on.
Erik Failing  [author] 8 Aug, 2024 @ 4:37pm
@FrancisThaPotato Hmmm... I haven't been able to reproduce getting the "Cybernetic Rejection Syndrome." I did see though that it can be ootten rid of by removing whichever cybernetic caused it. Apparently the sickness has a random chance of being gotten when installing a cybernetic. I'll keeping looking into it but I'm currently not seeing how this mod would enable the Sifrah game content... weird. Thanks for the bug report!!!!
FrancisThaPotato 6 Aug, 2024 @ 4:15pm
Question, idk if it's another mod or the base game's preleased content that leaks into the game, but installing cybernetics as a mutant gets me affected by "Cybernetic Rejection Syndrome"
which is normally from Sifrah, but Sifrah is a mod owner by a caves of qud dev that just activates already existing code, do you think that could be gotten rid of in any way shape or form ?
[BFC] A Flying Teapot 4 Aug, 2024 @ 9:41pm
yep, that fixed all issues :)
[BFC] A Flying Teapot 2 Aug, 2024 @ 1:20am
Awesome! Thanks! I'll try it out next time I get to play 🙂
Erik Failing  [author] 31 Jul, 2024 @ 3:23pm
@[BFC] A Flying Teapot - Alrighty, the mod should be fixed to avoid issues with precog, but just in case you or anyone else run into issues, you can spawn in the item I mention in the description to unglitch yourself!
Erik Failing  [author] 30 Jul, 2024 @ 7:08pm
@[BFC] A Flying Teapot - Awww dude, that sucks, I'm so sorry, don't give up on that run, I'll see if I can look into why that happened and make a fix to transform you back. I bet it is a weird precog interaction I didn't account for. Thanks for taking the time to let me know, you're the best!

@IllegibleScream I like the idea, I may get around to it soon!!!
[BFC] A Flying Teapot 30 Jul, 2024 @ 6:09pm
Ok, so apparently if I level up I still get mutation points, but tonics all now treat me as tru kin, so Eater's nectar injectors only give me an attribute point to spend
[BFC] A Flying Teapot 30 Jul, 2024 @ 6:04pm
This is an awesome idea, and I love the idea of one that gives true kin some way to get mutations as well, but I have a bug to report. So I think this permanently turned me into a true kin. I did add it to an existing game though, so maybe that has an effect? Also, I was using precognition and undid the vision before the effect of the tonic wore off. Anyway, now I'm a tru kin, so no way to get more mutation points :(
IllegibleScream 29 Jul, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Very nice. Glad to see a replacement for Equity Tonic. Is it possible to make a companion tonic to allow True Kin access to mutations?
Erik Failing  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 8:41pm
@Ghost6z Yup, you can use becoming nooks to install cybernetics until the injector effect wears off. It lasts a very short amount of time so be quick about it!
Ghost6z 28 Jul, 2024 @ 8:34pm
so can one use becoming nooks as a mutant with these?:lunar2024dragoninablanket:
