update please

I have reenabled the mod but still don't see it in the hint
how it should look like?
Iskar  [author] 23 Sep, 2024 @ 10:12am
Then something is wrong. Did you actually enable the mod in the mod manager? Just subscribing to it here is only the first step.
Iskar  [author] 22 Sep, 2024 @ 11:29pm
The building effect description tells you that.
i-dot 22 Sep, 2024 @ 7:44pm
need hints in the game which buidings help to decrease burden
Iskar  [author] 21 Aug, 2024 @ 8:39am
That I don't know. It won't cause any problems, because the effects are purely additive, but I do not know whether Radious uses the same buildings as the vanilla game version. You could just try (it's savegame compatible).
jcvans21 21 Aug, 2024 @ 6:10am
Quick question my boy is this mod compatible with Radious?

Tried out Babylon and decided to centralise most of their admin-bonus in their unique scribal records chain which I find fitting. This building will give a rather large bonus to reflect professional administration while other buildings will keep their +2 malus ro reflect the administration effort needed to provide their improved effects (compared to ordinary management buildings).
Additionally their unique royal garrison for minor settlements will get a small admin bonus to reflect the local military administration.

I will upload the changes later today.
Iskar  [author] 17 Aug, 2024 @ 12:45am
Yeah, I deliberately left them out so far, because their gameplay design seems to be providing more powerful bonuses in exchange for admin burden.
I will try a Babylonian campaign myself soon to see how I can include theie buildings here without destroying the balance.

Hi Iskar, great mod.
Would it be possible to add in Mesopotamian/Babylonian buildings? A lot of their structures increase imperial admin instead at the moment.

House of games, Royal Scribe Archives, crafter's guild, house of astrologers, palace of pleasures building chains all increase it.
Iskar  [author] 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:46am
@Cataph: I checked the forts and it is actually hard coded in the respective script to ignore outposts. As of now I can't do anything about that except removing the misleading effect on the forts' description.
Will have to look into the scripting more to see if I can elegantly make the burden calc ignore fort units.
Iskar  [author] 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:43am
I didn't change anything about their construction cost. All the mod contains is an addition to the building-effect-junctions.
AwwHEEEALNaw 12 Aug, 2024 @ 2:42am
interesting idea but why did you add the -administration effect to the aformentioned buildings while also reducing their construction cost? Makes building them a no-brainer and is really unbalanced.
Iskar  [author] 10 Aug, 2024 @ 12:42am
Yes
bely_rusky 9 Aug, 2024 @ 4:29pm
Is this compatible with saves?
Iskar  [author] 8 Aug, 2024 @ 12:46pm
Thanks for the report. I'll look into that.
Cataph 8 Aug, 2024 @ 2:29am
hey been using this for quite a while! I'm pretty sure that the Admin modifier on fort outposts is doing absolutely nothing atm, I checked the change when building military coffers and that works, but no change when instabuilding a fort in the same way.

I don't know if outposts might need a different scope or it just doesn't work for whatever reason from there. Big pity cause I hate fort'ed units sucking up my burden.
Iskar  [author] 5 Aug, 2024 @ 3:32am
I think it is very hard to impossible to go negative once you have a couple towns and armies, but I will add a precaution to the description for the early game.
Thanks for the warning!

Great Mod.
But you have to be careful. If you go below 0 the administrative burden switches from level 1 to level 12.
Iskar  [author] 4 Aug, 2024 @ 5:41am
That would be best, but I haven't found anything. I tried the effect in my campaign now and don't find it exploitable or overpowered.
You have to consider that a fort takes up an outpost slot and just letting an empty fort sit there is a net loss of potential defense capability.
Hence I think the -5 admin burden is fine for forts.
bofan 4 Aug, 2024 @ 5:39am
Flat -5 to forts without the need to fill the garrison is too exploitable imho. Just build the forts and get free admin burden reduction.

Is there any effect in the files for full fort garrison? That way, you could tie the full fort as the bonus effect of the bulding, like others have with high influence. If fort full = -5 admin burden.
Iskar  [author] 2 Aug, 2024 @ 10:06am
Yes, I've been pondering bofan's suggestion. Unfortunately the files contain no percentage reduction of admin burden effect. What I could do, though, is give forts a -5 admin burden bonus, so that they effectively cancel 50% of the burden of a tier 1/2 garrison.

It also makes sense from an ingame point of view, as fortresses can act as decentralised hubs of military administration.
BwenGun 2 Aug, 2024 @ 9:56am
Great mod, thank you for making it!

Maybe add a tiny bit of negative admin burden to the Fort outposts as well? To represent how military garrisons often served as the bases for a lot of the administrative functions of lots of states.
Working Joe 31 Jul, 2024 @ 4:39pm
This is such a cool idea!
PowerGuido 31 Jul, 2024 @ 3:50pm
AI don't have administration burden, this is only for the player
bofan 31 Jul, 2024 @ 1:18pm
An idea, is it possible to implement an administration burden discount for troops garrisoned in forts? Cause as it stands, it's always better to build the garrison building than to actually utilize manual garrisoning.
Iskar  [author] 31 Jul, 2024 @ 12:09pm
I haven't changed anything about the AI's building priorities and I am unsure to what extent admin burden even affects the AI. They will build these buildings with the same priority as before.
Ganon Cannon 31 Jul, 2024 @ 12:07pm
Cool last question is AI using it too?
Iskar  [author] 31 Jul, 2024 @ 12:06pm
Yes, it is purely additive with regards to the building effects.
Ganon Cannon 31 Jul, 2024 @ 12:03pm
Is this save game compatible?
