Just wanted to let you know that the Legendary effects are cool, but from my experience they disappear when you reload a save due to an issue with how they are saved! If you end up deciding to work on fixing it I'd love to know cause other than that I really enjoy them, I'd honestly use them as their own separate mod!

RATS.LegendaryEffectWorkers.StatPart_LegendaryEffects:TransformValue -- this eats 15% of my TPS with legendary boots and two legendary guns(one seems to have % chance to have explosion which destroyed half of my room and the other seems to have % chance for igniting enemies). There is also no way to look up those legendary effects you added!!!

Can you turn off Legendary Effects? They're cool and I enjoy playing with them, but I'm not sure they're quite the same as RATS. Feel a bit like their own mod.

If you have the Vault-Tec mod (steam://openurl/https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1888778429) installed, the pipboy from there has RATS enabled for an option that doesn't replace other armour

I'd like to ask a question that might be a bit silly. Why does RATS only support the Recon Armour and not other armor or helmets? Is it to prevent it from being too OP? My strongest shooting pawn uses implants from other mods and doesn't use Charge Lances. This made me have to let it abandon RATS for the sake of survivability. If possible, I'd like to give players the option to support other Power Armor or Helmets in their settings.
I understand that this can make it too OP, so it's just my personal idea and you're not obligated to implement it.

Im not sure why, but I've located this mod as the reason my animal info tabs have broken. I spent a long time disabling and enabling my mod list and I finally localized it with this mod. While enabled, whenever I press the i for info on any animal, not mechanoids or pawns, it causes tons of errors to show and no information to appear.

Think its possible to make RATS make a gunshot sound when you use it? Or better yet have the pawn do the aiming timer before firing? I know it sounds tedious and difficult but it would polish some rough edges quite a lot.

I'm currently looking into that bug @DatsDaBeat, hopefully should be fixed today.

@Noobyishy, that's a shame. If I get time next month I'll see if I can work on compatibility, but can't promise anything I'm afraid.

@Raturous. Fully agree. But it'll take some work. Right now, I'm just getting a list of all body parts attached to the core and listing them. To do what you suggest, I'll need to map out body parts for every body/race (and the same with modded races). What I might do is map out some of the primary ones, like humans then let anything I've not mapped out fall back to current behaviour.

Love the concept of this, although I think for balancing purposes it would be better if the targets were more limited like in traditional VATS.

Could have something like arms, legs, head, upper torso, lower torso. & The organs would be split between the two torso parts.

Aiming for head/upper torso would be very lethal, brain/heart/lungs/etc.
Lower torso would be less lethal, liver/kidneys/etc
Arms and legs for disabling the enemy.

Wondering how V.A.T.S could fit into Rimworld and whether it makes sense? Well funnily enough, the game based on nuclear apocalypse fits great with our favourite war crime simulator!

This mod genuinely surprised me with how it wasn't totally thematically locked within a Fallout playthrough and fitted in very well with vanilla Rimworld! A couple of bugs to iron out tho which was ideal but still an amazing mod!

So every time I use it the weapon icon gets added an additional time to the colonist abilities. I didn't check if it is a mod conflict, since it also seems to happen in the mod trailer video that is uploaded here.
