problem is you can only use one slot with officer cause the the mod dev thought two was cheating i play histotical and it sucks only one crew on watchout duty im going remove this mod

It used to work, but not with the latest patch. It won't let you assigned more than 1 sailor to any Officer.

Hi could someone please create a sub mod for this mod that does not limit officers to 1 addition crew member?
I would like to use this mod with officer crew mod that adds + 2 crew per officer. Which means 4 crew in total. If possible.

How do you buy more officers. I started in willhemshaven and traveld to kiel but no officers is there with the recruit officer even when i load free potatoes so it gets to a new day. Anyone know how to get a officer?

Bit of an issue here, in that the base game leaves two of the officer bunks unusable. Having these available would be good, because the amount of officers with the limit maxed out means that disruptions to schedules can leave men exhausted but unable to sleep because the bunks are occupied by sailors who aren't too tired. Having an extra two bunks to use would go some way to helping resolve this, so I'd like to request these get added as usable bunks for crew. Cheers

Yeah... I'm having an issue with the cook. I can't get anyone to do any cooking. I've given the highest priority to cooking for the crew and all the officers and nothing... It's at a point where I can't pack enough food (since no cook makes everyone eat like a pig and you lose the benefit of multi-types of food) on the boat to make a standard cruise. If anyone knows how to fix this one I'll be forced to uninstall this mod and I really want to keep it.

After Unteroffiziere the Offiziere:
Leutnant z.See 10% skill
Oberleutnant z.See 10 % skill
Kapitänleutnant 10% skill
- Skills are merged with the Laufbahn (carrier): machinists (also for torpedo crew) , Steuermann, Bootsmann and Funker.
And last but not least - - - - - -uniforms merged with the rank.(on the brown Shirt with the right emblemes. And when crew leaves boat - they switch to Ausgehuniform (dark blue, officers with yellow stripes on the jacket etc. )

I would like to mention some ideas which would make the immersion and simulation incredible.
- ranks (would like to see that every crew member can climb the rank table from Matrose over Unteroffiziere up to Offizier (German Ranks) and every new rank adds a skill which is added in to whole boat . (like 5% quieter or 5% fuel efficiency for the Maschinists // and another 5% for Obermaschinists /// more sight for the Bootsmann and another 5% for oberbootsmann, or 5% faster location finding on the map table for the Steuermann and another 5 for obersteuerman ) all those are are Unteroffiziere. The rank BELOW those are the (Mannschaften) 1. Matrose (all begin there) 2. Matrosengefreiter (seemännische Besatzung) 2. Maschinengefreiter and then matrosenobergefreiter or Maschinenobergefreiter. I can't get the crew to man the galley. I literally have every task turned off except cook and cook is set to 10. They wont cook....

So this mod seems fascinating, but there's three problems I can already see just testing it a little:

The first is that the Type VIIC only seems to allow 32 sailors. Not sure if this limitation is intended?

The second, and more important, is that the mod seems to rely heavily on having an officer for each "role" on board, but doing an early war start leaves the player without the option of having enough. Sure you can increase the officer limit to ten for free, but there are no officers available to recruit, and promoting them from the ranks still costs reputation points. This means it takes a LOT of patrols to actually reach 10 officers - which as far as I can tell, is not the intended way to play?

The third is that one of the task options is simply a blank white square for some reason

Thank you for this great mod. But in the sailors' rosters, the icons don't match the actual tasks. Something got mixed up. I divide the sailors into maritime service, technical service, helmsman, engine room, radio operator/listener, headquarters service and Smut. That's when I noticed it.

@Ser_G I had the same problem, everything is shifted one square to the right in the task table.
Cooking is where the periscope is now, etc, etc...

This mod is great just need an update...

Appears the September 27th update may have broken this mod, my crew now refuse to cook despite and adjustments to priority, schedules or squad composition.

Any chance we will see the Type VII range made to be realistic? I'm seeing max range at ~9000 km at 5 kts on the surface with navigation and engines managed by officers with the additional sailor. Compared to the historical range of ~16,000 at 10kts on the surface for the Type VIIB. Even the Type VIIA is listed has having a longer range of ~11,500 km at 10kts on the surface.

Does this require a new career or some other special upload instructions? Ive subscribed to it, enabled it in the launcher and deleted the files you said to delete. But it doesnt do anything. It still shows 20/20 crew onboard and no option to ask for more officers.

Hi Boogy,

Great mod and not sure if this is a bug but in the crew tasks management. The Uboat Overseer does not have an icon. Mine just shows a white square.
Same goes for the tasks management for the sailors and there is even one tasks that has no icon or even discription when hovering over it.

p.s: do you have some guide on how to set up the shifts for the officers?

@BistroWaffel This mod is more suitable for Type VII as it has been increased nearly half in size but Type II was already 20 people and nearly untouched. There is no way to arrange separate O2 consumption for Type II without designer changing the codes.

Hey b000gy Thanks for trying to be so accommodating. I tested the lite version and it's not quite right. Example. When you assign someone to the bilge they go to the Deck Gun and they were not obeying certain task and I'm someone that teaches people how to avoid that and I was having issues.

Also The version I was requesting had 45 sailors plus officers, not 40 sailors and 5 officers. There was also an option in the version I'm requesting to have sailors be tasked to the navigators table as well as the control room and so on. There was no bilge task option which I'm not so sure is needed. The version I downloaded and would strangle a pod of dolphins to have back was updated on Aug 10th @ 8:38pm and I downloaded it at 10:29pm. (I'm assuming that's my systems time.) This is the version that should be brought back if possible.

Type IID can stay underwater for more than a day with 18 sailors and 5 officers before running out of oxygen on normal lighting. Is this realistic?

This mod worked perfectly imo back when it was the original 45 man crew. I played it for 12 hours straight with that setup and it was so good I even posted a guide on it on a Facebook page dedicated to this game. Please Boogy get this thing figured out then publish it. Changing it every day makes it unusable. I've given up on this mod until it gets figured out. Personally I think you should just put it back to the original 45 man crew version where you could assign regular sailors to do navigation duties etc. Please put it back how it was. I tested it for 12 straight hours and it was as good as it needs to be while allowing sailors to pick up tasks that make the boats operation much more practical. Every change since had been a downgrade, some of them not even making sense like having 10 officers when there isn't even enough bunk space for them.

This mod is teasing greatness but keeps being messes with even when it was way better before.

There is a problem with setting up sailors rosters when acivating this mod.
As John Moses said.. tasks for sailors are shifted one to the right with this mod. So you have to set up at the icon for cleaning the boat when you want to sailors to go to the galley. Hoping b000gy can fix this sometime.
Maybe many people don't change their rosters and then the problem doesn't have an impact.
