Well, I beat this as a Wizard on hardcore, and it was incredibly reset-heavy, but it was doable.

Barbar, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the bug report! I'll get a patch out at some point. Minor spoiler in response to the other part of your comment: You come across a tower in a hell-like plane of reality with a number of captives. Various atrocities are implied, e.g. when you come across the master of the tower he's recently beaten a slave to death. There isn't anything explicitly sexual but Barbar's interpretation isn't unreasonable based on the evidence available to the player. My intent was to paint hell as a sad, lonely, evil, unnerving, and brutal place without glorifying anything depicted therein. My apologies to you and anyone else who found the sequence to be excessive!
Rhabarber Barbar 16 Jun @ 3:27am
i have no idea how you could have possibly missed them
unless you somehow didn't get to that house in hell with the half orc looking people
Mr. Pingos 16 Jun @ 3:11am
Rhabarber Barbar, I haven't seen an instance of sexual assault. Also, with regards to halberds, I'm pretty sure a lot of the loot is levelled just like vanilla NWN. You might've just gotten unlucky with the randomization table.
Rhabarber Barbar 15 Jun @ 11:12am
Sexual assault comes up surprisingly often?
besides that i thought it was neat. pretty decent besides perhaps the aformentioned.
for bugs, there's that scene where the... how do i phrase this without spoilers?
when the orb is kapputt and you're told to run you can actually leave through the wrong exit and cannot get back without debug mode thereby getting stuck. otherwise it was actually pretty stable and worked pretty well?
also there was a huge lack of halbeds :( at least i could not find any
Lujan  [author] 11 Jun @ 8:58pm
Yes, the module is balanced around martial classes so other classes should be considered "hard mode." The last boss is easier if you destroy the pedestal near the location where the elves are teleporting in. The boss absorbs their HP when they spawn in, making him significantly tougher.

Even with that tactic a rogue type will find that battle challenging. A fighter/weaponmaster or something similar should work well.

I was try play rouge/shadow dancer but final boss is unbeateble, he have too much hp and there not much of heath potions. So i will do replay for diffirent class.
Lujan  [author] 10 Jun @ 7:29pm
Victor, there aren't any class restrictions so you're welcome to play as a monk! That said, there isn't much by way of monk-specific equipment.
Victor the Dragon 10 Jun @ 12:01am
can you play as monk in this mod?
Victor the Dragon 1 Jun @ 8:48pm
i read books before then i go in bath and that bug is happend, its looks like someone don't want i kiss barannes and join in pool :HappyMask:, so i choice difirent dialoge less romantic and script is worked and barness run away.
Lujan  [author] 1 Jun @ 7:58pm
Sorry about that, Victor! If reloading and retrying that scene doesn't work, then you can skip that scene entirely: just don't enter the pool room and use the bed instead to advance the plot. You can set the outcome of the pool conversation manually if you activate debugmode and then enter the following in the console: dm_setvarstring beth_pool positive

Then, click on your PC. Nothing obvious will happen but the story will proceed as if you had the best possible outcome with Bethany in that conversation.
Victor the Dragon 31 May @ 9:26pm
i have bug when you go to bath with barannes after you want give her drink or kiss they stop moving and there is not dialoge or action

glad to see someone still love this old game
Lujan  [author] 23 Oct, 2024 @ 8:22pm
Thank you for the kind words, everyone! Hans: no, I wouldn't classify it that way.
Da Vinci 23 Oct, 2024 @ 1:43pm
Is this module kinky?
{ Q Z A M A P } 19 Oct, 2024 @ 1:31pm
I had a great time with it, was fun getting to get back in the shoes of my old character and continue the story. Really loved the beginning and how you made travel seem so difficult. Felt the epilogues were a tad short, but that's ok, and I do like the idea of there being an opening for potentially another episode in the series or a new adventure in the same world! Always amazing to see new content being made for NWN
Komnenos 19 Sep, 2024 @ 10:04am
This module is brilliant, one of my favourites of all time, had more fun with this than playing bg3.
Lujan  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 6:12am
Sorry about that Mr. Pingos! If you activate DebugMode (information here [nwn.fandom.com]) and enter the following command in the console:
dm_jumptopoint 33 139 SpineNorthernCaverns

You'll jump to the next area with no lost content.

That is definitely a bug! I am gathering feedback from here and the Neverwinter Vault and I'll release a v. 1.01 path at some point that will address this and make a few other small revisions.
Mr. Pingos 13 Sep, 2024 @ 8:59pm
I seem to have faced a bug. When you're in the cave during The Spine, and you're directed to leave through the tall boulder item, the dialogue doesn't move you from the location to another. It looks like my character was supposed to be transported after the dialogue that says "William climbs up, then assists Rufus as you give him a boost from below. You climb up after..." and then there's no change.

If it's of any importance, I'm following the storyline after rejecting to assist Bethany, I picked up Rufus, and then William, and I'm at the part where I have to take shelter from the rain in the cave.

Its brilliant that people are still making these passion project adventures, and quality to boot!
Lujan  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 9:05pm
@vonpaulus5577, thank you so much -- that means a lot to me! :)
vonpaulus5577 25 Aug, 2024 @ 1:09am
I played your two modules and i just want to say that you can be proud of yourself. This is in my opinion a professional level of work. The story was excellent and the combat was challenging but fair and the ambience was great. This is clearly one of the best module on neverwinter nights and a lot of role playing game should take example on this kind of writing. It may be a more linear module than some others but i prefer quality and density over quantity and you were able to do that perfectly. I really hope you keep on going! It's because of guys like you the game is still alive.
Lujan  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 7:40pm
Thank you -- I am glad you liked it! I enjoyed creating the firebomb part quite a bit. :D
Jorvach 23 Aug, 2024 @ 4:51pm
Oh, and I have to mention I loved the battle where the PC's allies throw the firebombs and absolutely obliterate the first few ranks of the enemy army! That was really cool!
Jorvach 23 Aug, 2024 @ 4:48pm
Downloaded this on the Neverwinter Vault, but since I can't remember my account on there, I'll leave my comment here:
I really loved it! That's saying something, since I usually dislike it when I am forced to play as a Human, AND when I am forced to play as a martial class. The fact that the adventure necessitated those two things, and I still enjoyed it immensely says a lot! <3

Really, my only complaint is a minor one: that the epilogues felt a little abrupt, but I have a healthy enough imagination to fill that in, haha!
the hook for a potential follow-up was nice too! Of course, I won't blame you if that doesn't end up going anywhere!
Master 19 Aug, 2024 @ 7:09am
I'll play through this on the same character I had from the last game.
