Unfortunately to have a temple requests you need organized religions (they are shown in yellow), and the modding engine do not allow to impact that in any way by mods (yet?). You should be able to appoint as a military commander any dwarf AFAIR - so I'm not what the issue is there. Please check if you are not excluding the appointed officials/nobles if you are using DF hack.
Dwarfs even at 50+ belivers in any god do not ask for a shrine/temple/grand temple etc. Also would be amazing if religios guardians can be made appointable to military (for some reason even the guardian of diety of war could not be placed in squad)
I hope you will have fun. Please share if you will discover intresting story or would have remarks :-)
This mod seems rad; gonna test it out once I finally finish off my old pre-adventure mode patch fortress in the haunted woods.
Saying "AI art is unethical" is not a fact; it's your opinion. This isn't the place to discuss that.
You believe what you're doing is just, but take a step back. You're imposing your values on others just because they did something you disapprove of. Why? To criticize someone who spent their time and effort to create and share something, simply because it wasn’t in a form you liked?
As a non-native English speaker, I rely on various tools, many of them AI-based, to be understood. Does being understandable bother you too?
If you want to make a difference, focus on legislative paths: contact your representative, vote, or support movements addressing the issue instead of targeting random people online. I hope you get where you aiming with your crusade without causing unnecessary harm.
That said, I’ll ignore your comments as they're shared in the wrong place.
"Beliefs overshadowing facts" Where? That AI art is unethical? That Dwarf Fortress is one of the least "graphics matter" games ever? That plenty of mods on the workshop do not in fact have any complex art on the workshop and that that's fine?
I'm disappointed to see beliefs overshadowing facts. We both know graphical presentation matters, which is why we're using the Steam version of DF over the classic ASCII version. No one is forcing you to use this mod. If you prefer it without artwork, feel free to use the DF wiki and my files to create your own version. I encourage you to do so! :-) You have everything you need at your fingertips. Right now, though, it feels like you're imposing your views on a stranger.
If you want to discuss AI, there are better places for that. The comments section here should focus on constructive feedback, and your input doesn't seem to fit that. By responding this way, you're not supporting your cause; instead, you might be discouraging others through what comes across as bullying. I hope you reflect on this and consider whether your actions align with your values. Wishing you success in your musical endeavors! :-)
