@Tac0man12 Thanks for the love. Not sure if I'll add any cooking stuff related to the zombies (work on the mod is done for now) but who knows what I may do in the future (especially if Paradox begin more work on the game). As for attacking, your best bet is drafting survivors and using ctrl+right click to attack move.

@Muppethero It should show up as Zombie Infection (severe) under Health Conditions in the Health tab, assuming it's the infection. There is a permanent debuff that can happen due to Lich Zombies that is similar to the lightning strike debuff. Nubyplays I have a few things to say
1. I love the mod a lot.
2. I really want new cooking stuff.
3. Please make it easier to attack the zombies, I struggle with the "Hunt" key, and I have to use a first person mod to make it easier. Thank you :prospectorthumb:

Thanks for responding? are you on discord? Might be easier. It was not giving me a name of what was wrong in the condition state. It just told me "Condition cant be treated" or something along those lines. I even bumped up my healer to Skill 10 and tried the "cure all" cheat command.

@muppethero Are you trying to heal the Zombie Infection (mild) or (moderate)? Those are the only stages when the Zombie Infection can be healed, either with Healing Balm or a Medical Kit. By the (severe) stage, there is only a 10% chance for it to expire without them turning.

Yeah it's okay. I have a cold room up rather quickly anyways. Zombies are usually not my thing but your mod adds another challenge. It's not just the attack waves but also the random herds that spawn as zombies. Neat :-D

@Flin Fredstone I think drying racks can only dry raw red meat. Can still cook meals with the human meat though.

I don't know if it's asked before but could i play as a responsible cannibal and put the human meat on the drying rack ? i would hate to see such prime meat go to waste.

@GKAZMIERCZAK Hello, happy you're loving the mod. These are great ideas, and abandoned buildings with zombies spawning from them (imagine like the Shrieker nests) is definitely an idea I'd love to implement. Unfortunately it seems like it would require some level of map editing, since the way the game implements new nests/space debris crashes is by pretty much copy and pasting a part of a map that has all of those potential spawns onto the current played map. There is a mod that allows map editing, but I haven't put in the work to figure it out (doing the mod as it is now was probably at least 100 hours of work). I can't rule it out, but for the moment I'm taking a break from working on the mod.

I tested this mod with out much thought but I love it! However I think if you added some kind of crashed debry that has, like wounded zombies (that you can kill for loot) near them would be kind of cool! :prospectorthumb:

@Atari 2600 Zombie Attacks should occur about every 5 days or so on normal moons and normal difficulty. Slow Zombies that you find in the world can be attacked by drafting survivors, though there isn't the option to hunt them like animals (though you can still get meat by salvaging them). The attack waves replace normal alien attacks in the Zombie Crash Landing scenario (except for ones related to the end of the scenario).

Hey, how often do zombies attack? Is it in place of aliens, or do both attack at different times? I see zombies on my screen but there's no order to attack them. Thanks for any info.

@egg It's definitely something I've considered, whether to be implemented in the current zombie game mode or a different one. However if you're interested I definitely recommend checking out the Stranded: Alien Dawn discord and the mod-discussions channel. You're free to use the code in my mod to work on it too. There is great potential in this game, and while I appreciate the Devs for providing what they have, so much more can be done with it.

im just looking at the change log, the mods changes and entries and classes, in the inbuilt mod editor... i'm just thinking, wondering, why didn't you take the same principle, or someone else (cough, i'm thinking of it..), and use the random weight inventory loadouts and weapons and make Human Raiders. so many players want them. i was TOTALLY disappointed in this game, going from ''wow cool'' to ''huh, bugs, huh'' when i found out all you do is fight bugs, coming from huge worlds full of alive characters in your typical rimworld or dwarf fortress..

@Luna Sylvarus It adds a separate Crash Landing scenario with some roaming enemy zombies on the map, but primarily zombie attacks based off of how the robot attacks work in the DLC but without a ship (why the notification currently mentions Consortium attack). Have ideas for a more Zombie Apocalypse scenario that relies more on "nests" where they spawn and you have to clear them out, but that's proven to be a lot more difficult than first planned since from what I've seen it requires separate coding and to be done properly, modeling to create the abandoned buildings they would spawn from.

@Wendigo Rose I wouldn't say it's impossible, the biggest issue would be creating the models for Xenomorphs or other aliens you may want. Unfortunately, modeling is one area that I've never been very good as a modder.

Hrm. Wild question. Could something like this be done with like. Xenomorphs? The vanilla game Shreiker's aren't very scary NGL. Would love it if an Aliens / USCM mod got made that sent insane hordes of Xenos at ya.

@Theo I've added (I think, haven't completed it yet to test it) the kind of endgame achievable in the normal Crash Landing scenario. I think I saw somewhere that there might be a generic end to the game after 50 years, though I haven't had a game get anywhere close to that yet. Still working on testing a further update hoping to add zombification, a new zombie boss, and a few other things hopefully.

Hey I like this mod and all but is there an endgame? Like do you make to pods to escape the planet? Because in my game I couldn't get the exploration mission that lets you win the game.
