@DokiDokiTulpaClub Hey! Aux. Power is definitely tough, but here's some general tips:

1. Play around the restrictions. Cards that allow you to have more cards in your turn are fantastic: Hello World (don't sleep on this!!), Compile Driver, Equilibrium, etc.
2. Ideally, you should try to keep at least two orb types at all times to keep your Compile Drivers viable.
3. Taking orb cards is generally a trap UNLESS you have either (Runic) Capacitor/Inserter to get more orb slots.

I do think the challenge might be SLIGHTLY too difficult. I just gave it a shot on A20 and did die to Corrupt Heart, but I wouldn't have even made it that far in the first place without some of the lucky relics I got such as Shuriken + Meat on the Bone. If I update this mod again I'll probably keep the challenge as-is, but move it further down the Defect list to indicate that it's a more difficult challenge.

I hate how Auxiliary Power requires you to complete act 4 for no reason when it's already brutal enough as it is, even on ascension 0.

@Lucky_Lunge You're right, it would be helpful to have that information somewhere. I'll spend some time trying to think of the best way to implement that.

(also, Necronomics bans Snecko Eye but does NOT ban Enlightenment. I may have to change that. Hmm...)

I think it would be great if the "elements that trivialize challenges" are specified somewhere in the challenge, some choices for some challenges depends on those elements

For exemple, in the Necronomics challenges (Ironclad where you start with Necronomicon but every card you play costs 1 more every time you play it), I don't know if I can find an Enligthtenment (0 cost card that sets the cost of your cards in your hand to 1 for the turn/combat) in a shop or not.

It would be helpful to have this kind of information

@Theabest Just updated to address your concerns. I knew these were possible issues while making the mod, but didn't bother fixing them because I genuinely didn't expect people to be making new challenges. It's a nice surprise that I've been proven wrong!

I think the only possible concern now is that you could have so many variables in the challenge definition (lots of cards, lots of special rules, etc) that it goes off screen a bit, but even my own most complex challenge, Duet, doesn't do that, so hopefully that isn't an issue. If it is, I'll push out yet another update, maybe by making the starter cards in two columns rather than one or something.

I am eager to see what you are cooking up...

The increased cap works for what I'm doing, but I'd look into making some changes. If a few different mods all added a few challenges to the same base game character, the current cap could easily be hit. I'd make the scroll be variable based on the number of challenges selected. Also, I'd try to make it so that the challenge selection and the challenge details had different scrolls (or no scroll if it isn't needed). If you select a challenge at the bottom of a list, you have to scroll all the way up to see it.

@Theabest I assume you're talking about the scenario where a character has ~10 or more challenges and you can't scroll down enough to select the bottom-most ones? I just pushed out an update to address this. It's not perfect, but the cap should now be 15-20 challenges (which I don't expect to be hit, but let me know if you'd like me to adjust it further!)

I have noticed some issues with scrolling when you have a larger number of challenges.

Yeah, I got it. I came across this issue just because I was breaking from my usual slot for playing, to do some tests with my mods in the slot for testing... As a modder too, I know that data separation across different saves may not be conveniently done. Fortunately, in most cases people just stay inside one slot so the issue is not that troubling

Oh, I see what you mean! Yeah, it does seem like if you start two or more challenges across save files, the oldest challenge(s) get overridden by the newest challenge. I feel like that issue would be tricky to solve, so no promises that it will be fixed, but I may look into it later. In the meantime, I'd recommend avoiding having two consecutive challenges active. If you want to start a challenge on slot 2, finish or abandon the challenge run on slot 1 first.

Like, Select a challenge A for slot 1 -> Switch to slot 2 and enter another challenge B (or just keep it blank) -> Switch back to slot 1 -> Find the challenge has changed to B (or just disappeared)

旅渚Lastcel Hi! Can you please elaborate more on the bug you found?

As for The Sadist, I am aware that's a pretty easy challenge. However, I think it's fine if some challenges are less difficult than you'd expect, especially for The Sadist, as it's the first (or introduction) Silent challenge. The Binding of Isaac, which this mod was heavily inspired by, similarly has challenges that aren't necessarily hard but encourage you to adjust your playstyle which I think is neat.

Hi, I found a bug:
Challenge selection is messed up across different save slots.
And a suggestion about balance:
The Sadist is too easy to be counted as a challenge in my opinion, even on A20. Maybe removing Twisted Funnel could help?

变牌鸡第一次打的时候思路偏洁,碰巧到三层AI振幅双力场比较配套赢了;好奇鸡本来想玩重编程,结果打着打着变成天胡蛇眼陨石种,小卡组金字塔靠双倍能量启动;4球鸡太难打,2费摸三给谁都难顶,不过如果来日晷也直接天胡,前期双编冲无限,后期拿张冷头基本够打心脏了;飞鞋鸡总体难度不高;超频鸡掉血太伤,没实战通,本身鸡煲启动就慢还叠自燃,一张自修都不够救,考虑是不是可以叠冰球带咬人止损,自燃打伤害。

For further clarification, the Challenges button is where the Daily Climb button normally is (Curated Challenges + Daily Climb are located inside the Challenges menu). If you have any other mods active that modify the buttons, specifically the Daily Climb button, that could prevent you from accessing the challenges.

@1162706830 Very sorry about that!! It has been fixed now. I could have just fixed the bug, but I chose a different direction; Instead of Act 3 being the win condition for Fast Track, Act 2 is now the win condition, making Fast Track even FASTER.

Fast Track challenge resets your deck and relic when entering Act III.

It might be fun to face the City with initial deck, but definitely not so for the Beyond.

@Cany There is a language selection dropdown after entering the "Edit title & description" menu on the workshop page, allowing editing description separately for different languages. Then people will see the edition of their own Steam language (English will be used by default if content in that language is kept blank)

@旅渚Lastcel Hi! That seems like a great idea, however I'm unsure on how to effectively implement that. If I just do a Chinese translation after the English description, the overall description will be too lengthy.

@PaoPaoYue Thank you! While a leaderboard does sound fun in theory, Slay the Spire makes it WAY too easy to cheat to get on top of leaderboards (which you can see in the Daily Climb leaderboards each day) which in my opinion kind of compromises the purpose of a leaderboard.
