Mod is great but unfortunately I often find perk points missing when I inherit wih new ruler. I.e. game is showing 3 pers available but I only can spend 2 points.
cindercatz 18 Jul @ 2:02pm
Sounds great. ) Looking forward to it.

When using a mod that adds new commander traits, the 'Strategos' perk in the Martial tree cannot be 'bought' because of the tooltip covering the screen. Btw, im loving this mod! Way better than vanilla.

Here's a list of things I'm currently looking to implement.

I would like to give each lifestyle an additional 10 lifestyle perks. This will require making the perk icons smaller, which could hurt readability. I'm going to experiment with this a little.

Some of the lifestyles could use another design pass. Martial lifestyle especially. Spoils of Man is pretty strong for being a 15 skill perk. Some of the later perks are a little boring.

I'm looking into implementing something I call "mission perks". These would be lifestyle perks with more advanced unlock requirements and separated from the skill system. These perks would also have more advanced but also more situational rewards. The idea being that they should help immerse you further in the lifestyle you have chosen, rewarding you for fulfilling thematically appropriate perk requirements.

I'm currently gathering ideas for the next major update. If you have any thoughts on the mod, feel free to share them. I can only make Veritas better with your help.

@cindercatz Thanks for the kind words. I may look into creating such patches in the future. I know people have long wanted a patch for RICE and Hiraeth as well.

@Soyut I'm not sure. Give it a try.

@finallyciv I saw your Quando Sumus comment as well. Nice work.

Love this mod. On the GUI issue, I've run Veritas and More Lifestyles together with the mod Scrollable Lifestyle Window, and it solves the issue for me. Load SLW later in the load order. ML is still in the vanilla tree style, but they work fine together. (I haven't played 1.16 with them yet though, just about to.) I would love to see a patch for them that converts ML to the Veritas style and maybe balanced them for it, if you find that interesting enough. Goes for all the other lifestyle mods, really. This mod's gold imo.

I want to use it with A Game of Thrones. Is it enough for me to just add this mod at the end? Does the AGOT mod add extra perks? Is there a need for a compability patch?

@idm
If I load your mod higher up in the load order, all the perk names and descriptions disappear, becoming blank.
Additionally, with your other mod, Hiraeth - Dynasty Legacies Overhaul, when it’s placed higher in the load order, the interface gets messed up.
I really appreciate your creativity and ideas, but the current compatibility issues make it hard for me to keep using them. I’m looking forward to your optimizations and improvements!
idm  [author] 6 Jun @ 10:35am
They all make changes to the same gui file. A compatibility patch would be needed.

However, a temporary solution is to move both of those mods after Veritas in your playset. This should solve the issue you're having. Keep in mind that the interface changes made by Veritas will not carry through if you go this route.

Hello, author! This mod is fantastic and very creative; I love it. However, I’d like to report an important issue.
Before trying this mod, I was using More Lifestyles and Witchcraft, which add three additional Lifestyles. After adding this mod, I noticed a problem: when trying to switch Lifestyle focus, the interface at the top only shows 8 options instead of the expected 9. Even more critically, the two options at the edges (the leftmost and rightmost) cannot be clicked—they’re disabled!
Could you please fix this issue, author? Otherwise, I won’t be able to continue using this mod.

It's a really good mod! But it's such a shame that the Worldly Knowledge have disappeared from the adventure stewardship. I wish I could change one puck.
vukh 29 May @ 3:09pm
maybe a shuffle perks option at the start could be cool,:steamhappy: instead of creating a new game in case i dont like the starting distribution.
vukh 29 May @ 3:01pm
hi, i like your mod. i only have one complaint so far.
the random perks distibuted at the start is too wide. for example i started a game as william of normandy and he had 5 points in diplomacy ,2 in intrigue, 1 in stewardship, and none in martial, which is very contradicitng of his history and his age.
2099170697 29 May @ 7:31am
Some of the skill descriptions are half in English and half in Chinese, which makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Gef 27 May @ 10:36pm
There is an Ordu perk in the Martial tree that judging from it's desciption is next to useless unless you are a nomad.
UnknownWon 25 May @ 6:25pm
Sorry, I'm not sure what information you would want. I had moved camps several times before that so I don't know how I could reproduce it except for that specific savegame. I think I still have the savegame, but it was with about 130-140 mods iirc.

I might be able to find or reproduce the modlist; or as Greenguh said just chalk it up to an interaction with another mod. Here is the crash report folder though: https://filebin.net/wei9yq6tvtxy2jt3
Greenguh 25 May @ 9:05am
tbf it was probably an interaction with another mod. Great work responding so often!
idm  [author] 25 May @ 8:24am
There's not much I can do unless you give me more information. Moving camp works fine on my end, even with every single perk unlocked.
UnknownWon 23 May @ 2:23pm
I found that this mod was crashing my game (with lots of mods). It happened consistently on a specific save, when my adventurer camp arrived at their travel destination after moving camp.
Gef 19 May @ 4:53am
Really great idea to have skills not be tied down to trees. In vanilla you are often forced to spend a point to grab a perk that you have absolutely zero use for and some trees in vanilla are just too weak relative to others.
I didn't see the update yet, but at least in the last version many perks were absolutely useless for landless.
idm  [author] 18 May @ 5:26pm
@Mister I would say give the mod a try again. Some values have been tweaked since then.
idm  [author] 18 May @ 5:25pm
Updated for 1.16.
Mister 17 May @ 10:15pm
Thanks for a really nice mod. It was one of the best mods. I must say i am not using it anymore since the overhaul. Getting 100 piety and 100 marshal exp for every battle is way to OP. You can raid and kill a bunch of small armies and get maxed out in like 15 minutes of gameplay.
GG棒 15 May @ 9:15pm
Thank you very much, we will be looking forward to it.
idm  [author] 15 May @ 5:34pm
An update should be out tomorrow (Friday) or sometime this weekend.
GG棒 15 May @ 11:02am
Dear author, hello. The bugs that appeared after this module was combined with the latest version have seriously affected the UI display of the large grassland feature in the lower left corner of the nomadic system, and have also caused many nomadic countries to be unable to display nomadic herds properly, which has led to issues with migration and some important mechanics not functioning. We hope you can fix this when you have some free time. We really like your module and are looking forward to your updates.
bamboocarpet 15 May @ 3:26am
Really enjoying all your mods. Tasteful images, as well.
Coop d'Etat 19 5 May @ 7:14pm
I know you haven't updated yet, but in case you don't know, the only issue is some GUI issues with the new nomadic stuff. Otherwise, it still works great on v1.16
Abu Musa 1 May @ 10:44pm
love this mods. will it be updated?
idm  [author] 8 Apr @ 5:16pm
@dbv You either have to find a German translation or make one yourself.

@Greenguh There will be more improvements in the future. This iteration of the mod is just that - an iteration.

@ridicidonk I'm not sure. Give it a try.

@Yubie I don't do commissions sorry.
dbv 31 Mar @ 6:53am
a lot perks have no german names - how do I name them?
Greenguh 29 Mar @ 11:34am
I do like a lot of the updated perks though - especially aspirations. I think the greater variety is generally good. Stewardship highest level (before administrator, etc.) is kind of lackluster though
Avan 29 Mar @ 5:56am
Testing this mod out with After The End and Veritas last in my load order- will report back if I notice incompatibility.
Greenguh 28 Mar @ 3:21pm
update nerfed a lot of foci :(
ridicidonk 28 Mar @ 7:04am
Does this mod play nice with EK2?
Yubie 27 Mar @ 3:58pm
I absolutely love this mod. Do you do commissions? Id be willing to pay for a prowess lifestyle in this style
pduquez 23 Mar @ 7:40pm

Veritas has been updated for 1.15. Here are some highlights from the change log. It's a lengthy one.

- Integrated the Wandering Lifestyle into the mod with 38 additional perks.
- Some lifestyle perks now have additional effects if Quando Sumus (my mod) is also installed.
- Aspirations perks now unlock alternate ways to gain lifestyle experience.
- Reimplemented the Reset Perks button.
- Lots of new perks and perk changes.
NorscanWarlord 4 Mar @ 12:33pm
Does anyone know if this works with "Additional Lifestyles, Better Crusader Kings Lifestyles" i like a lot of variety so instead of 3 per, it's 5
Mytheren 2 Mar @ 12:50pm
Is the update still coming? I love this overhaul and I would love to see what you do with the new lifestyle.
Mlemi 21 Jan @ 1:16pm
Thank you! Can't wait for the update. <3
pduquez 17 Jan @ 5:55pm
Thank you @idm
idm  [author] 16 Jan @ 9:44am
I'm working on an update. However, the mod should still work fine. It's only the new lifestyle that needs to be integrated.
stoicminimoose 15 Jan @ 1:48pm
Does this mod still work?
pduquez 16 Dec, 2024 @ 5:39pm
Hello @idm
Please update the mod
Add the wandering life style
Dnasis 8 Dec, 2024 @ 2:47pm
One thing I've noticed after playing with this mod for several campaigns now: with every character getting the Accomplished Forger perk for free, you get hit with artifact claims quite frequently. I feel like either the perk should be somehow nerfed or put back into a lifestyle perk to be unlocked.
deathmagicuser 29 Nov, 2024 @ 12:57pm
@GrimoireODS no ive tried it with it and the two trees it adds arent messed with by this mod and it causes a problem where you cant manually open the leadership and diplomacy trees
GrimoireODS 29 Nov, 2024 @ 4:51am
Is this compatible with "more lifestyles" ?
