To make them friendly, removing Babysnatchers should be all that's needed.

Hi, I was wondering, how can I change this race so they're not hostile to everyone when playing them?
I'd really love some trade partners lol
I also took out the babysnatcher part in the file

Ah, yes of course :P Classic late-night mod updating mistake. Back now :)

You have done the classic DF mod thing of breaking the description by updating :P

Updated to add Child and Baby portraits. Enjoy!
Plush Langobard 2 Apr @ 1:35am
It's still working fine save for lacking portraits for children.
Siegbold 7 Feb @ 3:29am
Does it still work?

Land holder triggers are on ver 50. now handled by the ingame difficulty options settings, with LAND_HOLDER directly on the position tokens, a baron is land holder:1 at the pre-configured level the player can adjust at any time (along with other things, whether sieges can occur, the pops/trade they need to attract land holders etc.)

Rest are just token typos as @PrivateRiem said.
PrivateRiem 13 Oct, 2024 @ 4:44pm
Undead_candidate doesn't do anything. Architect no longer exists on steam either. No idea how LAND_HOLDER_TRIGGER works but its also throwing errors.
EXILE should be PUNISH_EXILE instead, same with SERIOUS_PUNISHMENT should be PUNISH_SERIOUS and REPRIMAND should be PUNISH_REPRIMAND

Uploaded a small fix for a portrait bug that was happening just to capes. If you see portrait bugs let me know.

We've been in touch and I'm hoping to add some Orky stuff to 7's Warhammer mod!

Hey, I love your work. I’ve just released a mod based on Warhammer fantasy, and I was wondering if you’d be interested in some form of collaboration?

@Coleslaw
Thanks for checking those. I just revised Jotnar recipes, notably adding steel, bituminous coal/coke, lignite coke, plaster, pearlash, and ++adamantine wafers++ to their crafting abilities.

They are lacking some smelting, such as no nickel silver or bismuth bronze, so the dwarves have more, but Jotnar are capable of mythical things.

I also divided bookkeeping / accounting responsibility between Broker and Bookkeeper rather than sharing it, hopefully that will help with that issue.

Version 0.17 is up!

@Coleslaw

I've noticed humans can't make pearlash but can make clear glass when I've played as them, so that is probably a holdover from them.
Fantastic Fwoosh 7 Oct, 2024 @ 12:05pm
It wouldn't be like that in the past vers i think, but probably the person you selected has values against it. Though try raising the accuracy of the bookeeping and room value to see if it gets a reaction.
Coleslaw 6 Oct, 2024 @ 4:45pm
A couple more small things that could be intentional or not:
-Jotnars are not permitted to make plaster powder.
-Jotnars are permitted to make clear glass, but are not permitted to make pearlash, making it practically impossible to create clear glass (except by importing pearlash.)

Also, I'm having issues with bookkeepers just outright refusing to bookkeep. I've verified they have an office, that they have free time, and that I've set the bookkeeping accuracy to max. However, in the 6 in-game years I've had a bookkeeper, they've never bookkept even a single day. I looked in the defines for the Jotnars and noticed that Jotnar bookkeepers AND brokers are assigned BOTH trade AND accounting duties, whereas for dwarves, for instance, this is not the case. Could these duties be conflicting with one another?

Good catch! I just put a patch through adding Soap Shops and Soap Maker Profession to Jotnar.

(I originally copied their files from my Boarth, who are unable to make soap for reason of being boars. Jotnar however are now able to make soap!)
Coleslaw 4 Oct, 2024 @ 11:24pm
Looking in the files, Jotnars are permitted the reaction to create soap, but are not actually permitted to build soap maker's shops, nor is it a permitted profession for them.

Just did a quick patch re-upload of what I have. See if that works, if not, let me know what .png it says is missing.
Herax_Hyander 2 Oct, 2024 @ 4:49pm
it gave an error that it didnt find any png...(((
TwinCrows  [author] 2 Oct, 2024 @ 10:00am
Yep they're the same as my other races, playable both Fortress and Adventure mode..
Solaris 2 Oct, 2024 @ 7:09am
Can you play them in fortress mode?
TwinCrows  [author] 1 Oct, 2024 @ 4:26pm
Another civ added! This one was easier because I have gotten quite familiar with the Portraits. At first I thought "tattooed humans" would be totally smooth to create, but there were of course a lot of technicalities to getting this to work.

The Jotnar should be quite fun, especially if you don't have many other goblin-aligned races. It's quite cool to have another race as a possibility for invading, and playing them is intriguing.

I haven't played enough to know what the experience as a Jotnar Adventurer is like, but I expect that it is quite bloody considering how you share alignment with goblins.

Enjoy, and let me know if anything is amiss, or if you have other feedback.
