Yeah it would take quite a while to update, especially the startpos. A lot has changed with the base game since the last vv release

Yeah but it seems like the mod will have to be completely rewritten because i noticed that merging the files caused an issue with some unit models

such as calvarymen having 4 arms lol i shall wait for the next version as im currently doing a radious campaign and not sur eif i have the patience to do a total rebuild of the mod at the moment

you need to revert to patch 17 version of the game as there is no update for latest release and wont be till we release our next version.

A new general must gain the confidence of the army. Thats why there is a starting debuff to new generals. Win battles to remove it, or lose battles to increase it.

Hi, trying out your Vae Victis mod after several years with DEI. Looks very good, but I don't see why my army suffers from a massive moral reduction. It says that they do not like my General (Libo) but I can't find out why? Just took Velathri but that shouldn't be the reason?

they can only be recruited in italy and they havecaps on the number you can recruit

Magnar, I've been playing these Total War games since the original Shogun came out. I've spent countless hours with Rome:Total War. But Rome II:Total War, and Vae Victis (with a Roman music mod) is the best experience I've ever had with a Total War series game. I kid you not. Not a single bug or glitch in gameplay since I subscribed to the mod, and that was about 25 hours, ago.

One quick question: When will I be able to recruit more Roman troops? It's 267bc, currently, I have most of Italy from Genua to the south, and all of Sicily. I'm not fond of recruiting mercenaries into my legions (I have 6 of them), when I want Hastati, Prinicpes, and Triarii. Should I consult your pages at the TWC, for the answer (btw, I'm known as Oldgamer, there)?

there will be some changes to the UI with next update. The building icons for instance will be completely redone which will be much easier to identify.

the mod is about 700 mb, so 4 second download seems rather small.

ok so i found out that it wasnt your mod that is making everyone run really easily. i uninstalled and tried to make my own modded campain with minor mods and my men still run with like 5000 to 1000. i think i might just reinstall the game. sorry for bothering you.

baktria is not yet overhauled (will be in the next update). Etruscan unit with missing axes is being removed for next update.

Sorry for saying so much but for some of the Etruscan units they have invisible weapons. I have a feeling I installed it wrong.

Oh ok. I was first playing the Etruscan league and when I would flank roman units my men would instantly weaver because it would say that my own men were flanked. Then I was playing baktria and there men would weaver before they even got up the ladder ( while they have lost no men! ) idk if this is a bug or just me installing it wrong, but I am still hoping this mod is good as everyone says it is. Thank you for responding so quickly.

the factions which are not yet overhauled, have untis which arent yet balanced.

its really good, just carthage is waaaaay too powerful in the very beginning, not even my roman infantry could defeat their simple hoplites, otherwise its pretty good

Have to give a serious shout out to this product. Utterly awesome. Vae Victus is what has brough me back to Rome 2. Have played the other major mods but Vae Victus combines graphical improvements, excellent/best skins, economic balance, limits and challenges, but preserves a middle between game speed and mechanics. Thus far I am only about 50 years faster than history as I re-create Roman expansion. Much thanks for this mod!

My game crashes everytime I start a new turn or try to load a battle onlyhappens with Vae Victis, I have other overhaul mods and they work just fine.
