I request the establishment of a Uniate Church. In Poland, Uniates are a colloquial term for the faithful of the current Greek Catholic Church (formerly the Uniate Church, established in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth after the Union of Brest) and the Catholic Church of the Byzantine-Slavic Rite.

And the addition of the Calvary cult of St. Mary, Mother of God.
MeteorJunk 16 Jul @ 1:35pm
okay cool was just curious
LimonenZitrone  [author] 16 Jul @ 11:21am
@Baelgun: At the moment no, but we can allow Nestorian in the CB in the future.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 16 Jul @ 6:47am
@MeteorJunk: Yes. The update is taking longer than expected due to people being busy with other stuff at the moment though.
MeteorJunk 15 Jul @ 5:59pm
Is this still being worked on?
Baelgun 14 Jul @ 3:48am
Any way to be able to seize Emperorship of China as a nestorian ?
SonofMarduk 23 May @ 7:49am
I concur with the discussion around Mandaeism and Manichaeism, I got a shock when I started my game and saw an Aramaic speaking Manichaean culture in south Mesopotamia 1444. The religions are also very different.
TheAuditor 20 May @ 5:04pm
Yeah also why its still having manichaeism in 1444, theyre in China at that time on Qunzhau Fujian until now. For Iraq its the Mandean....
Tawani 16 May @ 2:12pm
Mandaeism on the other hand is founded around the central figure of John the Baptist, though Mandaeism is moreso a gnostic religion than anything. It is similarly dualistic and probably was heavily influenced by zoroastrianism and manichaeism, but what matters most is that, the location where you put this "manichaean" culture is the exact spot where you would find the mandaeans. They have their own form of -Aramaic- as a liturgical language, and are a well attested group in Mesopotamia in this time period, unlike the Manichaeans which to my knowledge have largely gone extinct by now.

Tawani 16 May @ 2:12pm
I have a feeling that you guys got somewhat confused about Manichaeism. Or more precisely, I think you guys are actively confusing Manichaeism with Mandeaism/ Nasorianism.

Manichaeism was a major dualist world religion in antiquity, which could be found as far west as Numidia (if Augustine of Hippo is to be believed when he says he was formerly a Manichaean), and as far east as China which is where you will find the last possibly remnants of it.
Manichaeism, just like Christianity or Islam, always adapted the local vernicular as it was a wholistic religion, incorporting the Buddha, Jesus and what have you wherever it emerged; and while no doubt there were probably Aramaic speaking Manichaeans out there, they did never develop an enthoreligious identity.

The issue is there are few standard culture mods that are way more expansive that (according to your compatibility note) are not possible to be run with your religion changes. So by merging those two aspects into one mod you get compared against other mods.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 14 May @ 8:31am
@_Phobics: We haven't changed too much about cultures yet, so what you mentioned is from the base game.
_Phobics 14 May @ 6:32am
The religion part seems cool but the culture part is really not good for an apparent culture mod. Iberia being united, occitan not being it's own group, too much germanic, north africa is too clean, balkans oversimplified and those are just the ones I know about
jurrasiczilla 10 May @ 3:22pm
agreed with below as a turk
Isa 10 May @ 2:24am
It would be more logical to add tatars (mishar, nogay, crimean tatars, siberans) to altaic group. As a Kazakh, it so weird for me to see Nogays or Siberian Tatars to be separate group because historically after different events most of them become part of our nation. As one great guy named Asan Kaigy stated: I was born Nogay, Lived as an Uzbek and died as Kazakh. Turks are also altaic but logically they r a bit far culturally in that times than Tatars. And maybe would be more logical to change culture group name to Turkic one? If you think that its too much for one culture group, than it can be Eastern and Western Turks, separating Anatolian Turks, Azeri Turks, Turkmens (afterall the one who created the Ottoman Empire was from Turkmeni tribe) and Crimean Tatars (since they had their own huge history with Anatolian Turks and most of them migrated to Turkey due to certain historical events) into Western ones.

@LimonenZitrone: Thanks for the response! I was not aware that Europa Expanded and your mod weren't compatible. Thanks for taking the time to answer my comment! Love the mod and wish you the best!
LimonenZitrone  [author] 8 May @ 4:44pm
@TheHidingTree: I don't know why it would crash, but this mod was never compatible with that mod anyway. So there isn't really anything to be done about that, unless someone wants to make a compatibility patch mod.
TheHidingTree 8 May @ 11:01am
Hello, I'm not sure why, but ever since a couple weeks ago I found that this mod is (for some reason) causing CTDs when used with Europa Expanded under a year into a new game. I was recently running a game with both mods installed 100% fine as of late April 2025, but attempting to start a game with the same mods I would get CTDs under a year into a new game (upon which I found that this mod and Europa Expanded are having some conflict). Just wanted to let yall know. Love the mod and wish you the best!
LimonenZitrone  [author] 4 May @ 9:26am
@Skyworld: I don't really want to edit vanilla monuments, because that would require to replace the whole file. There are some monuments in Great Monuments Expanded however that can be used by Zoroastrian group and not only Zoroastrian religion.
And the idea behind that religion mechanic is that you are supposed to fight a lot of wars to keep the power up. And there are some modifiers that help you, e.g. completing religion ideas reduces the decay and so does forming the Empire of Light and picking its national ideas.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 2 May @ 5:22am
@心里只有她: If there is no chinese translation submod, you can't. If you run the game with a general chinese translation mod, this mod's content will be in English still.
心里只有她 2 May @ 5:01am
how do i get it to show in Chinese
Skyworld 29 Apr @ 4:21pm
Considering manichean is in zoroastrian group any possibility for them to be able to use baku atesgah monument in shirwan?
Also changing it? Its purity gets lower fast enought that its basically imposible to stack it unless doing mass war
Taboret 25 Apr @ 7:05am
I'd really like to use religion part of this mod, but I cannot deal with how limited cultural part is. Is there an option those parts will be splitted into seperate mods in the future? Seeing germanic Pomerania and Polabia just makes my blood boil.
desu-chan #ProjectAlice 15 Apr @ 8:17pm
any way to get tatar to be in altaic
thehogshotgun 11 Apr @ 11:08am
Huge fan of this mod, question though: any chance QQ could get a government reform for being nestorian or something? In the mission tree it switches you to the turkoman federation govt reform but since you're nestorian it doesn't work, and you end up losing your original unique govt reform too.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 28 Mar @ 8:16am
@Castillomars: That event is only the notification about having become the controller, it doesn't make you the controller. Fire the event rce_religion_mechanic_nestorian_patriarchy_events.3 instead (province event for Constantinople, so ideally fire it there). How exactly did you become Nestorian? If you normally convert to it, there shouldn't be such an issue. Did you use the console to convert or make a country that is Nestorian from the start somehow?
Castillomars 26 Mar @ 3:32pm
I just did the event "rce_religion_mechanic_nestorian_patriarchy_events.1" to get it to fire and it said I have become the controller, but still not luck
Castillomars 26 Mar @ 12:33pm
The patriarch Controller for Nestorianism is just stuck as no one controls it. Is this because to one can die to then pass on the control?
LimonenZitrone  [author] 14 Mar @ 1:38pm
@davidnoldevalls2000: Sounds like you had some other mod active that isn't part of the Expanded Mod Family but may have Expanded in the name that isn't compatible, like for example Europa Expanded. Cause RCE is compatible with the EMF mod collection it's part of.
davidnoldevalls2000 14 Mar @ 1:31am
I used only the expanded mods, but once I turned them all off it worked again.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 11 Mar @ 11:42pm
@davidnoldevalls2000: Strange. Any mod active that may change province cultures?
davidnoldevalls2000 11 Mar @ 5:27am
I'm playing as qara qoyunlu and as I start the game my assyrian provinces convert to kurdish so i can't form assyria. Any idea why and how to fix it?
Didi Mocó 2 Mar @ 11:54am
Daoism, Bõn and Slavic would also be good additions, afaik Bõn still had some small majority areas in eastern Tibet, could be something for future flavour related to that religion.
Didi Mocó 2 Mar @ 11:48am
any plans to add shamanist and finnish/uralic pagan religions (like mari and ukonusko)? because if yall r going to make changes to the finnish/scandinavian cultures, would be cool to have local religions like the sami shamanists represented as well.

btw, would be cool to have some other small religions like Druze and Yazidi represented, maybe even muslim minority groups like Zikri and Qarjaite?
LimonenZitrone  [author] 22 Feb @ 2:33pm
@RandomnessInc: EE is most likely not compatible.
RandomnessInc 22 Feb @ 1:37pm
game crashes with just this and europa expanded installed
LimonenZitrone  [author] 21 Feb @ 2:35pm
@Zephyrus: Umayyad? That's not even a country in vanilla. If you're trying to run this mod together with total overhauls like ET, it of course won't work.
Zephyrus 21 Feb @ 2:12am
Umayyad spawned in siberia?
Ashkenazishe Yingele 29 Jan @ 8:15pm
How do you feel about adding an ability to revive Philistine culture? Maybe, as Assyrians/other Aramaic culture or even Greeks.
Bolty218 20 Jan @ 10:56am
is roman moved to the latin group?
PenguBoy  [author] 17 Jan @ 11:03am
@Tuhkur
As of right now merging Karelian, Finnish and Estonian as well as creating a new Ingrian culture are part of the things we are thinking about doing..
As well as looking at possible Baltic cultures like Pruthenian, Pomesanian or Galindian that can spread in the Western Balkans when you conquer them as a Baltic nation.
Tuhkur 12 Jan @ 5:55am
I humbly suggest fixing the entire Finnic culture group issue, either making Estonians, Finns, Karelians and the Sami into their own Baltic-Finnic culture group, or adding Estonian into the Nordic culture group (I can already see a joke coming from there). Historically, there was quite a divide between the Balts (Lithuanians and the various Latvian people) and Finns (the aforementioned list). By the 15th century, the divide was still there, so it would make sense for Estonia to be seperated from the Latvians and Lithuanians. Of course I'd also like to suggest Livonians to be added into Livland and Ventspils, though that might be too much.
Patchesohoolihan 4 Jan @ 2:37am
Thank you! I was just making sure I didn't have other mod conflicts, but that all makes sense.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 3 Jan @ 3:24pm
@Patchesohoolihan: At start you have +0.1 from ruler stats or ruler persoanlities, depending on the selected major deity, yeah. 0.3, 0.2 and 0.1 for ruler skill 6, 5 and 4 in the specific category of the major deity, certain ruler personalities give between 0.05, 0.1 or 0.15 gain and of course potential modifiers giving bonuses to it. You can also use the toggle for dedication focus to increase the gain, at a cost of maluses.
Patchesohoolihan 3 Jan @ 7:23am
I'm playing Vijayanagar, and the uptick of dedication is very low, only 0.1 from ruler personality and nothing else. Is this WAD?
LimonenZitrone  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 12:08pm
@skaz88: Idea Varation changes a lot of stuff. Could possibly be it touches one or multiple of the same gui files.
skaz88 23 Dec, 2024 @ 12:06pm
I'm not sure why but this is causing an interface issue with Idea Variation.
LimonenZitrone  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 12:01pm
@Gavulo: The in-game content gui shows that. Forming Israel makes you switch to Hebrew culture.
Gavulo 23 Dec, 2024 @ 11:56am
A description of how to spawn in every culture would be great if you could please provide that.
Gavulo 23 Dec, 2024 @ 11:52am
How do you spawn in cultures like the Hebrew culture? Do you convert Aramaic on israel or do you do sephardic? How many years does it take for a culture to spawn in?
