Will be updating the layout and google doc soon with a much simpler system. Couldn't figure out how to simplify fixing the automation issues with one button but it should still be much simpler to fix manually.

As far as the signals go, I will run through the layout and make sure there are signals at key areas so that ai don't run into player controlled trains.

NO MORE TRAINS FORCED TO BE LOGIC GATES

OOOOOHHHHH!!!

Everything makes sense now! Truly a breakthrough in global science. Thank you so much! NO MORE JANKNESS!!

You're not blind, you can't connect to the signal itself. You need to use another component, either "Remote trigger activator with on/off state" (Room.8) which sets green or red, or "Remote trigger" (Room.7) which toggles through the aspects. These components act on everything within their radius so will need to be placed and configured carefully if you have other signals or clickable objects nearby.

Example of on/off red/green control here .

Regular signals work fine most of the time. You may encounter a glitch where two trains wanting the same section of single track are both given green.

Signals can be controlled by wire? How? I never saw a connection point on the ones I've used- am I just blind?

For the rest I think just using regular signals would be sufficient to keep the ai trains from colliding into player ones. If I can find out how to wire the signals I'll go through and make some changes.

Great job!
Do you want help with the signalling and AI? Signals can be controlled by wire, and it's possible (although a bit complicated) to protect the single track sections so that you don't need to rely on timers, which would allow players to drive a train amongst the AI traffic.

That’s sweet mate

Thanks Gauge!

Wow I did not know of that. You know early plans of the layout included some of the racetrack...

Very well timed with the Bathurst 1000 being today

Outstanding layout! I'm having a lot of fun running my NSWGR stuff around this. Excellent work with the AI logic too by the way!
