It's compatible as in, it doesn't conflict with anything newbiespud adds. If you've noticed NPC Smith was given a description in Arint's Last Day - and so does mine, but I chose to let Arint's Last Day overwrite it.

It'd cause compatibility errors if someone download just SCF without Arint's Last Day if I chose to add it in. I'd be more than willing to go in and add it - but I don't want to step on Newbiespud's toes and they've so far been unresponsive to any of my messages.

Just out of curiosity, the description says compatible with Arint's last day. Could you clarify? Because when I look at something from it (Like Fellemo of the bog), it doesn't say anything.

Ah. I get. Yeah!

Though NPC Smith isn't encounter-able in-game. I'd have to find a mod that adds him in as an NPC and then step on the modder's toes a little to do that.

This is supposed to just be a correction mod of sorts. I'd much rather make a new mod entirely for an NPC Smith if that's fine.

Okay, I'll try to explain better.

So, I like the detail that most of the unique characters have their own music themes (For example, Kashio, when talking to her, her theme plays). But I noticed that the NPC grifters (despite the fact that they are unique) don't have their respective themes.

Now, there is a grifter NPC (for example Rook), he does not have an unused theme (unlike Sal), so to give him a theme when meeting, we’ll take the music from the main menu (this one https://youtu.be/Sa2GKk_mLIY) , or the music from the cutscene with Rook’s backstory (this theme https://youtu.be/gS7rdlebZXo) .

And then do the same with Smith, and give Sal her unused theme. Voila! Now NPC grifters are completely unique! Got it?

Okay. I think I understand? Adding the theme music for the respective NPCs that appear on the main menu? Or do you just want the default Sal Rook and Smith themes replaced by them? And which ones?

Yes, you're right. It is these unique themes. It seems to me that there is no restriction on music in the code, that is, you can write the correct path to the any theme file, say Smith's in the main menu, then it will be played as the character’s theme.

But I didn’t even know about Sal’s unused theme... Nice.

Sorry - I should clarify - I mean the theme music that play when you talk to certain NPCs, mostly bosses. Because only Sal has an unused music track for that.

Maximal, do you mean like the intro themes the bosses like Arint have when you talk to them? Because that does exist for the Grifters - but only for Sal.

Or do you mean adding new characters to the main menu? Which NPCs in particular?

Simple but cool mod. Btw, there is a mini-idea, can you add to the NPC grifters their respective themes, like from the menu or something that you think is better?

It would be very atmospheric and a nice improvement I think.

Needed this
