It's my fault for expecting Valve to not have fucking spaghetti code on a 10+ year old game and be consistent across different Operative Systems.
SO, I forgor to mention that I'm currently using Pop OS, based on Ubuntu 22.04, using the native Linux build for L4D2. It's basically flawless except for, aparently, ESPECIFICALLY the shaders are coded differently and nothing else (and the sprays, I can't use custom sprays on Linux).
Anywho, for me and the 3 other ppl using Linux for gaming, just throw the Linux build on the trash and use Proton (or Windows)

I'll find a way to fix the stuff and continue to submit my friends and i through the torture of playing nightmare and its other collection.
