Laser-tier SMG not gain speed buff like other SMG.
for those who do want proper weapon tech you need to go config/WeaponTiers/XcomTemplateEditor.ini and add a few lines bellow GLOBAL SETTINGS . it should look like this:

; Set "weapon tech" field of all weapons affected by this mod.
; It determines which weapons are affected by which breakthroughs.
; Many soldier perks scale with WeaponTech as well, expecting

are the companion mod changes from iridars version removed?

Fixed interaction with True Primary Secondaries and Pistol upgrade slots. Now works as intended.

Thx for your words, but I think Iridar needs those words, :) I used His code for my tier five weapons. (Balance also from His mod I only make new prices for weapons and schematics) Primary pistols don't use ammo is a bug from Primary Secondaries Mod, but if I remember True Primary Secondaries Beta works well.
A small note - pistols (maybe other primary weapons) does not waste ammo ( laser and coil)
If you subscribed to that mod in the middle of the campaign, you will not see conventional battle/strike rifles, only laser and above.
but it doesn't have it's own weapon slot compared to FearTheBunnies WIO SMG's
I got a question though- I'm guessing this doesn't work alongside WIO right?
I'm still using the Proficiency classes and want to use it's SMG addon for your mod pack
When you port the settings from it to another mod, add others edits, and then claim it as your own work, people will naturally draw comparisons, regardless of what you type in the description box, especially so if your description was unclear.
If I'm change from original mod to this mod, will there be any change regarding gameplay other than the bonus on tier and re-arrange tier? ie. different in cost, weapon damage
Also, will there be a problem with Teslarage loot mod? As TLM has config for Iridar's five tier but this mod has re-arrange tier.

Seem's a lot of work to add what is essentially a couple of minor bonuss to some basic weapons. Great work, just don't understand it's methods or reasons.
