ANPaL's data structure has updated. If you're making ANPaL-based mod, remember to update your ANPaL Structure.cs and ANPaL_Api.cs to the latest version(you can find them in example mod or AnEWS)

yes it is compatible, WC is not a must-have for this, but there's differences between framework themselves so you won't get the same experience when using it on different frameworks

also 100% of problems you have can be solved by simply placing more reactors on your ship

Your documentation explicitly says "Also requires WeaponCore OR Vanilla+ framework", and the title says "Compatible with WeaponCore and Vanilla+".

So I reasonably assumed I didn't need WeaponCore.

It's very likely that you don't have enough power on your grid. V+ weapons will stop working and not consume any power when the power output isn't met their requirements

also actually this weapon is designed for WeaponCore, not V+ (i.e. the ion cannon's firing power adjustment is based on WeaponCore's RPM adjustment slider, which V+ don't have. But still you can manually adjust the firing power by directly control the turret). Compatibility between different frameworks is very complicated and can become unstable sometimes

Did you do anything funny with your SE installation? Cause I cannot see how this "works on your computer" and not on mine, when there is literally just a world, vanilla+ and your mod.

eg: The ion cannon does nothing. It's fully charged, but the control button is disabled so I can't control it manually. It ignores hostile grids directly in front of it, even when I target them. Your description says there is a choice of different shot types, but in the control panel there are no such options. There is only an ammo type with a single "Energy Charge" type.

I have difficulty believing that it works for you and not me when it's the same game installation without any kind of plugins.

really neat mod that i stumbled across and excited to see were this goes i am curious if you are planning on adding more laser type blocks especially bigger ones as i tend to favor bigger gun diplomacy and also just laser go brrrrr

@ilsa your best off using a reactor mod with this pack. I would suggest something like the Deuterium reactor mod or the older arc reactor mod.

I couldn't even figure out what kind of ammo to make for the fission railgun. It doesn't say anywhere.

Hastur, quick question, if you're using this mod, why aren't you using one that has some reactors? Lol

also all weapons in this mod requires A LOT of power(not kidding, you literally need 5 large grid large reactors to power 1 single particle accelerator) to work, make sure you have enough batteries/reactors on your grid

I was only using a couple of other mods and they shouldn't have had any impact (Buildvision, build info, leakfinder). Control as in, the turret control button that is on every turret in the game?

How do you make these work? When I tried using them, they complained that they were out of ammunition. I tried creating "Fission Armatures", but that didn't help. I tried explicitly adding the vanilla+ and the framework specified as a dependency, and now the control function doesn't work at all.

Hello I would like to ask if any fixed/non-turrets versions are planned? I love the weapons but personally I like making custom small grid turrets on my ships and weapons from that mod would look amazing as like destroyer main cannon.

and for the output ceiling: yes it's an intended design(mainly for preventing other players to stack too many of these when trying to make a death star recreation, causing their pc to explode)

capacitors will deplete it's energy over time, slightly faster than a single emitter's energy output(and also the conversion to stored energy is not 100%), for a single emitter the reflector block is a better option

Umm...laser capacitors have some issues (mainly 2) with them that makes them not very suitable for laser redirectors: 1 is they don't fire laser when there's only 1 laser generator firing upon them (energy readings fluctuate around 0); 2 is they seem to have an output ceiling, which limits the final beam power coming out the system and can't stack up a thicc-ass death beam (idk, this could be intended)

put the laser block 1 block away from the turret(and other laser blocks), they have a very short "safe distance" that will pass through everything within this distance without damaging them

Absolutely love systems like this that put more engineering in the Engineers game. The only thing it's missing, in my opinion, is greater scalability so we can make truly ridiculous death rays.

fixed the memory leak problem by changing all weapon definitions from missile turret/rocket launcher to gatling gun
