it said to check FAQ, I can't find the FAQ I'm supposed to be checking, but I'm assuming this is an easy load order adjustment fix?
Hello again! I just got the trinket "The Book of No Language" and I was hoping you could help me understand the set bonus of "+100% Heart Attack Stress Recovery".
The way I've interpreted this is that when stress hits 200 on the Philomath and she heart attacks, her stress is dropped to 140 rather than 170. Am I understanding this correctly?
If I am correct, I take it the idea is to play a high-stress/high-risk strategy similar to a flagellant... Get her afflicted (consumed) for the damage buff, constantly heal her off of deaths door, and let her pump out hits with head trauma. Am I on the right track?
Regardless, seems like a fun set bonus, but I'm scared to try it for now :P I only have one Philo and I really like her.
Thanks again for the awesome mod! I'd like to support your work, but the Patreon link doesn't seem to be working :(
I'll be dust in an urn before I give up on that project, but it's been pushed back over and over for a combination of monetary reasons and availability reasons regarding art assets.
Thanks for the response! I'll be sure to make a backup before trying. This class mod is awesome by the way, thanks for making it!
I ended up just making the balance changes you listed in this mod description myself by modifying the original mods files, I definitely agree that her numbers were pretty crazy.
I also modified head trauma a bit. First, I gave it 'armor piercing' since I felt like it fit thematically with a psychic attack. Second, on kill it grants a small stress heal to the philo. Its already a super strong attack so from a balance perspective, neither of these changes were necessary but I think they're pretty cool. Thanks again for the awesome class mod!
You *should* be able to disable the previous and enable this one without issue.
@Gearhammer
This... what? This mod is importing the skin from her BR version.
If I can update mid campaign, does this "replacement" mean I need to remove the original Philo mod for this to work?
Thanks for the help!
But the new art is so freaking good, oof. Choices... Choices...
It'll probably still be that way to an extent, but with slightly lowered damage, slightly lowered crit, and a more normal accuracy on her main two attacks, I think she'll play out a little better.
And yeah, I wanted to at least compensate for it by her affliction no longer blocking heals, and increasing her overall accuracy since whiffing an attack while afflicted is a big issue.
From what you've said, you didn't want to make her a glass cannon, which she was, so ok fine.
But you made her just a bit less strong and less weak. A single buff +1 stress healed is definitely not enough to make her a worth stress support... There's a bunch of other classes that does a better job at this, so we'll just keep playing her as a damage dealer, but less risky.
So personally I'll stay with the original one, she hurts like a truck and takes efforts to keep her alive so more dopamine. Nothing personal, I love every other mods you've made.
And to be fair, 90 ACC is still higher than most T1 main attacks. The majority of heroes start out at 85.
Okay, there. Should be fixed.
But i think the character graphics are getting an error!
It's output in a broken state
