You're welcome, though the mod is now redundant. If you don't want to lose the game, you can always change the version number for the mod yourself and copy over the new defines file. You'll have some strangeness because of the conflicting colony mechanics, but you'll be able to continue playing at least.

Aww. We were in a fun mp game, and when we loaded back into it without the mod random provinces started loosing their cores and turning into uncolonized provinces with 0 basetax and no natives for me as Prussia :D sad to abandon it, but meh. Thanks for the fun mod while it lasted.

Was going to do this myself when I noticed this mod, thanks a bunch, this system is the way forward. Gutted because AOW was great except for the autonomy changes. Rated

@humeq, you just need to merge the defines.lua in /common to merge the changes from the Alternative Colonial Autonomy to Extended Timeline, then copy the rest of the folders from the Alternative Colonial Autonomy mod into Extended Timeline

I have to edit the defines to eliminate the autonomy floor, this is the same file that includes the start and end dates. There is no way around this, you'll have to edit the define file in the mod yourself to extend the timeline.

This mod seems to be cancelling out any time extension mod... Please fix? *-*

Added it to the end of the description.

Any direct download for the mod? Steam workshop is screwy for me.

@Mattebubben That is a feature of the Conquest of Paradise DLC.

Mr. Chapeau, if you're running on Windows, go to:

\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod

The .mod file will be there, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the mod in the launcher at all.

@Mattebubben You need conquest of paradise for it

do u know if its possible to make colonies playable? =P.
I want to play as brazil (Portuguese Brazil)
But it dosent seem possible with vanilla game.
U cant select it while its a colony and even if i start the game and release the colony then load the game i still cant select Brazil to play it (i click on the nations terrirories but nothing happends)

Well you see i think the thing is that when i open the launcher for EU4 the mod is shown, but it doesn't respond to clicks. In addition, when I look in the mods folder, I do not see any files for "Alternative Colonial Autonomy", despite the fact that I am subscribed to it. So it shows up on the launcher but the files aren't being downloaded.

The mod has no dependencies, you just need to have the 1.8 patch (Beta works too). If it's not showing up, that's because the version number is borked again....

Open up the .mod file with a plain text editor (like Notepad, not Word) and add this line to the end of the file if it isn't already there:
supported_version="1.8"

Can i just ask does this mod work without Art of War, as it shows up in my list of mods but i cant select it.

This is nice. Colonies on your home continent having 50% autonomy is a pain in the ass.
