Could we expect an update to 1.6 for this one?
Even if it appears to work fine on 1.6, I'd feel more comfortable using this mod if its 1.6 compatibility was official.
context:
managed to have one spawn as an event where 2 factions decided to street fight in the middle of my base by drop pod raid. annihilated both for their impertinence and grabbed the hoplite as a prisoner. no intention to keep it because it is obv unwaveringly loyal and no option to recruit
But no, with this and the no limits patch, I've seen one Warcasket in three 10k point raids. This makes it incredibly unsatisfying to gun down leagues of footsoldiers with my vanilla expanded vehicles and new wonderful guns.
But when I was getting warcaskets, they could actually damage my vehicles, break down my walls, solo my colony. I would love if instead of 10 or so footsoldier nobodies I could have 5 Warcaskets, it would feel like surviving an Astartes raid.
Alas, it seems either this mod is playing wrong with my modlist, or something with this mod is broken somewhere. Because of how many mods I have installed, I'm inclined to feel like it's the former, but, if I can track down the issue then my life would be well improved.
I made sure to keep them fun to fight against, the juice does help offset the movement debuff of the casket but they're by no means quick, also chose to not give them any bionic legs for the same reason.
hoplites are hussars which are always equipped with cataphract warcaskets and stoneskin glands, they're incredibly well armored all around
they always come with charged warcasket guns - with two bionic eyes and and a minimum shooting skill of 12, said weapons are extremely unlikely to miss
the go juice high they always spawn with makes them quite agile for a warcasket but also contributes to their combat skills as well
and as the little cheery on top, they come with painstoppers - combined with all of the above, this means they'll fight to the bitter end, even against tanks and such from vve
If you want to see them, pray to whatever god you worship that it's on good friendly terms.
