the fucking odyssey of hearing this sound for 10 years thinking it was tinnitus or something, then finally searching it up to find ur thread about fixing this from like 2017 and following it here lmao. Thanks man it feels like you fixed my brain

As for the sounds in Ravenholm: the original sound used for that roof is a rubber impact sound. Gmod creators cleared the sound a bit and made it into a defacto footstep sound in the same directory as the others. It does not solve the popping sound on certain actions (frequent jumping, sprinting), but still a bit better. I'm gonna upload it soon

It's the part where you climb on the buildings before jumping the fence, where there's the stairs to go inside and up to where the little cart will arrive to get you to Grigori, those rooftops had horrible clipping footstep sounds for some reason.

I was hoping this would fix the broken footstep sounds in Ravenholm I had near the church, as you parkour your way to the final lift before meeting up face-to-face with Grigori, but it didn't :( Used snd_restart as well.

Valve forgot a few things to fix in update it seems like grenade worldmodel, smg incorrect bullet cassing, missing pistol cassing
