The only way to change armor capacity is to edit citadel charger max armor cvar in console then spawn invisible citadel charge and add use input for player. That's the only way to achieve it.

But how to increase armor capacity? Do you know how to write such commands correctly?
I'm interested in this for custom hard difficulty.

This mod saved me! I've always wanted to adjust the H.E.V Suit's protection level because I cranked up the combat difficulty. The vanilla *Half-Life 2* H.E.V Suit is way too fragile—it completely breaks the game's logic. A fully charged H.E.V Suit should feel overpowered, while Gordon Freeman's squishy human body should be the weak link. This mod finally fixes that ridiculous mismatch!:steamthumbsup:

Ok this is seriously amazing! Now the HEV suit actually feels like a damn exoskeletal armour, rather then a piece of paper over bare skin. Kudos! I love combining this with armour regeneration, it gives a proper "power armour" feel to the suit.

In my personal HL2, I edited the cfg's so that energy pickups give almost no energy (neatly getting around how stingy the game is with them anyway), now it's all about health pickups and managing armour regeneration. Also made all weapons do more damage, to emphasise the importance of armour.

Basically I rebalanced the whole game around this mod, and it works awesome :steamhappy:

thank you so much, this is incredible! Before I felt that the puny 1 or 2 suit batteries made no difference, and that most of the game my armor would get SHREDDED by enemies, even by metrocops! this mod actually gives me a chance to fight back. Very nice :steamthumbsup: :steamhappy:

Combines are incredible easy to dominate even in vanilla hard mode.
I doubt buffing player even more would make game more fun
