Yes, it is compatible with other addons. As explained in the description, it only wakes up the infected already on the map.

I think I'll have to make a version with all the configurable parameters because it depends on each player's playing style. For example, some players will prefer a larger detection radius...

It's pretty balanced rn I think I mean I can get out now to the door without a couple of Z's running to the door.

There are actually four parameters in this script:
1) The time in seconds at the start of the map before alerting the infected (75)
2) The radius around the players in which the infected are alerted (600)
3) The maximum number of infected alerted at the same time (30)
4) The delay in seconds between each alert (3)
The problem is that if you specify too large a radius, all the zombies on the map arrive at once ^^
So I've adapted the script to keep it balanced, in my opinion.

I stick to this one felt it's much better. Is this the max alert/wake up? I tested this on the overpass on the dead center it doesn't seems to alert the commons all the way at the gun store. If possible set it to the max alert it makes the game for less boring

The problem with scripts that modify the director confs is their incompatibility with other addons, this often causes conflicts

This addon only changes the game configuration (director option). The one I propose wakes up nearby zombies without changing the configuration

Is there a way to mute the horde sound/music? It gets annoying when you keep hearing it.

@Xeno :]. Yes probably it is a similar addon. I had tested this addon but I found it a bit complicated and that it modifies convars while developing your addon allows you to adjust the behavior according to your wishes. I did not want to modify the speed and the number of infected, just wake them up to start.

@RedBigEvilDevil. It's precisely on the wandering zombies that I wanted to act. The others are already awake, I don't see the point. Moreover, these scenarios are already managed on the "DirectorScript" side...

interesting, but it would be better if the script did not act on "wandering" infected, but only activated those called by an event, such as an alarm or vomiting, etc. Is this possible?
